Hi, I am Evan from Malaysia.
I had recently purchased an HTC Hero and I seem to have problem with the weather widget/Flipclock with weather.
The application does not seem to update itself based on a timely basis.
It is rather troublesome to update it manually while it is called a smartphone.
Is there anybody that can help me with this issue?
Thanks in advance....

Hello all, for now about one week, I can't download the weather forecast using the HTC home application. Every other internet accesses work fine, I just can't update the weather forecast for my city or any other city in the world...
Does anyone else have this problem ?
try reselecting a listed city,i had the same issue when i first installed but reselection worked for me and choosing correct temperature measurement
I tried many other cities, but the problem is still there...
Just wondering what your thoughts are on best weather app for this phone?
I would use the native one, but it thnks I am in the state of Washington when I am really in Washington, IL.
I am currently using Weatherbug but I find it annoying that I have to tell it every time I reboot the phone to set location, when I have already set my default location to where I am (I even have it checked to use my current network location) but the widget on the home screen stays blank. When I click on the widget, it pulls up Washington, IL and gives me the information, but when I back out, the widget just stays blank, freaking frustrating.
Is their anything else out there worth trying, or anything else I can do to fix this issue I am having with Weatherbug?
And also, my understanding with the HTC Hero weather widget is that it is a known issue and has to be fixed with a firmware/software update, right?
Thank you,
Whiteice
In my opinion the Snowstorm widget is the best, and it looks great aswell..

I'll second snowstorm. I was using weatherbug elite but the forecast data wasn't great and quite often was for the wrong date.
Snowstorm looks far better and has much more detailed forecasts imo.
Just to clarify something, I am in the US as I am seeing a lot of references to the UK and Norway for this program. Not complaining about, I used to live in Scotland years ago (Edzel, Dundee, sister was born there.)
Is this program something I can use being in the US or is it strictly something that would be used overseas?
Thank you,
Whiteice
Have a look on http://yr.no and see if tour local town or city is on there.
hi guys,
I just recently upgraded my Malaysian Samsung Galaxy S from JG4 to JPA. From my understanding, froyo improved upon Eclair by allowing the display of last name(surname) first which is commonly used in my country. However, after the update, i noticed that apart from the contacts being displayed by last name, the sms app and the dialer app is still showing first name. Any ways for me to set it right? Please advise..thanks much.
cheers...
Hey guys,
Any help in much appreciated!! thanks.
Hello folks
I just received my new LG 2x. It came with the version 2.2.2
I'm looking for the peak time settings but was not able to find them.
I rooted the phone and replaced the LG email application with the one linked by djmcnz (Thanks by the way), but no peak time settings
Can someone help me find them or tell me which application I should install
Thanks
It doesn't have them.
Thanks for the reply
A friend of mine who owns a Samsung Galaxy has these settings. I think that HTC phones have also these settings.
So I was wondering where they are located. It is only a question of email client? So could I use HTC or Samsung application on my LG?
Hi, i know this is not directly an issue with the inc s, but i've googled this everyway i can think of and comeup with nothing. Has anyone else noticed that just lately the location for the weather services seems to have gone vague? Instead of giving me my location down to city/town level, the best i get is "united kingdom" . It's also the same on my galaxy nexus using fancy widgets. So i don't think its device specific, was just wondering if anyone else had noticed?
