The keys on my slide out keyboard are inconsistent in how hard you have to press and as a result I sometimes get repeat letters. Anybody know of a setting to adjust the repeat rate or just turn it off altogether? I found a registry entry HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\RepeatRate but have not tried adjusting it.
Have you tried the options in Settings>Personal>Buttons>Up/Down Control?
I've used them for the repeat rate and they work for me.
Thanks,
Dave
Hey that works. I thought those settings were just for the Dpad.
Anyone else notice that the keys don't have the same feel? The "h" key has almost no feedback and the space bar is really hard to press.

My F and A button are sometimes a bit hard to handle.
My keys are fine. The Spacebar is wierd though. The left part of it (under the V key) has almost no feedback. The middle side has some kind of double feedback. Only the right part of it (under the B key) is fine.

I spotted virtually the same thing with my space bar too.
Also, the space bar is just a tad too far left for me, nearly catch the '.' key all the time.

This was annoying me for ages! Often the simplest solutions that we overlook!
the next thing thta you have to do is wear in the keys. i remember when i got the deivce was that keys were pretty hard to press. once i wore them in it does really fast
often when I'm typing an sms/mail message i accidentally press the left hardware key(as it is sunk in the querty keyboard ). this will send the message i didn't finished yet.
is there a way to disable this keys when i have the keyboard slided out?

good question. I have that problem too.
well... not a real solution, but I've noticed, that if You write on hw keys with screen tilted, then it's less easy to press those two keys, as Your thumbs will have less space above them.

I'd be happy if someone got a workaround about this .

It true that when tilted that they are press less easy, still sometimes i press those keys. i almost always tilt the screen whem typing with hw keys.
Still it would be nice if there is an sollution for this.
AE Button Plus
I use AE Button Plus with no action assigned to a single press of the hardware soft keys (in other words, it ignores a single press of those keys). It affects the buttons in both portrait and landscape modes. If I need to access the single-press soft key function then I just need to press on the screen. I also have the single-press function mapped to a double-press of the hardware soft keys as an alternative.
lol....
And I was thinking I was the only one with that problem...
And got the same soluttion than you guys... tiliting the screens is not so easy to press those buttons
Got a question.
Got a Touch Pro last weekend, but the "del" key isn't working.
I pressume its broken, cuz the keyboard backlight doesn't go on when i press it.
Is there an app out there, that gives me a onscreen del key whenever i type anything?
Or a howto to make one myself?
Why dont you use the "Raphael Keyboard Remaper" to bind backspace to the right shift key, an onscreen backspace isnt so easy i think.

Very VERY nice first post, dunno why i didn't think of that!
Topic can be closed, it's "fixed" now like DaDevil said.
Im missing a couple of keys on the dock just wondering if they are there Im just missing them?
Forst one is a delete key? As in delete whatever is to the right of the cursor or are we forced to move the cursor to the right side of anything we want to delete and then use backspace?
Also is there a physical recent apps key as in the key to the right of home on the touch screen navigation bar, when using the dock and touchpad it would be nice to hit a key and it load up the recent apps like using the home key.
If these dont exsist is it possible to customise the keyboard and change the current functions?
Thanks
[shift] + [backspace] deletes char right of cursor. For advanced key functionality try external keyboard helper.

Thank You very much for the help
So, i have a annoying problem with my Mi9, well, is not with the phone but with me...quick story short:
I have used a G6 for a year, the LG Keyboard is awesome and quick, and i like the way it work, now with Mi9 i cant have LG keyboard cause none of the port's work on my Mi9, at least the 2 i try. So, i use Google Keyboard and notice something stupid as f*ck:
- when i have the navigation bar in the bottom like back, home, menu/recents i can type well with rare to none error typing, when i have gestures enabled (of course without navbar buttons on) and even if i resize the google keyboard height to their highest i miss the keys i want to press, like i want to write an "o" or a "p" or a "m" all in the right side of keyboard but instead they press the "L" key a lot of times and thats is some idiotic problem.
my workaround is: use navigation keys and put a little height on keyboard...BUT, i dont want to use navigation bar in the home launcher or even in the other apps i dont use the keyboard.
So, i want to use gestures but in whatsapp and messages app i need to have the navbar to dont miss the letters i want to press, it is possible?!

That's not what he's asking.
He wants to be able to disable and enable the navigator bar based on the application he is using.
This isn't difficult to do, he just has to find someone who'll do it.
