Which XML file(s) do I need to change to swap the task bar text, and the icon backgrounds, from white to black?

The white does not look good on a black phone. I need black with white text.
If I took my theme template how difficult would be be to change that? Is it the XML and if so, what file and where?
For the statusbar look in framework-res.apk/res/drawable and search for colorChange.jar to change the text colors. If you can sign files and have the android sdk and lasest java jdk then you are set. If not search for those things.
If all you want is to change the bar to black and the text to white then pm me and i can do it easily when i get home tonight
So, I used the AXMLPrinter2.jar to turn the status_bar_item_background.xml to a human readable file. Then I put it into my MetaMorph zip, and it's causing reboot looping.
I wanted to know whom knows where to make the Notification Bar transparent. It seems there is a color hex some where in an xml because after I made a transparent png there was still a black background...

In my theme [2.1 eclair] I have changed the bottom popup menu's to black background rather than white, i.e pressing menu on homescreen gives you wallpapers/settings etc. Obviously i can change the menu icons they are PNG is there an XML file I can edit to change the button text to white? only for these bottom popup menu's as the list menu's etc i want to keep normal?

And no style.xml in any of the res folders in framework-res.apk
I think you have to decompile the apk first using apktool
How do I change the text colors on my phone? I want the text changed from white to cyan to match the status bar and the virtual buttons that i changed to match it. specifically looking for app names on homescreen, notification pulldown, menus, and submenus
