Hey all,
Because of a warranty issue i have to send my rhodium back to HTC. What OS should I flash on it? It's an unbranded RHOD100
Can i flash the W6.5 fromt the HTC site and then flash the SPL again and that's it?
The problem is that half of the keys on the keyboard stopped working.
Please help me!

Hi everybody,
i have a serious problem whith my diamond. In the past i have flashed some cooked roms in my diamond. But yesterday in order to have my warranty back i flashed an official rom 1.93 and i lock it with the original spl 1.93
.
So far good. But today i tried to flash an official rom 2.03 and it showed me this : Error [294] : Invalid Vender Id
I looked for answers at xda but they say that i have to use Hard Spl.
I dont want to use Hard spl because i will lose my warranty again so i cant use it.
What do i have to do to flash official rom 2.03????
Thanx in advance
Nothing get?? Someone to help?
is it a original HTC Diamond, or rebranded?
u may still need the Hard SPL for the 2.03 ROM, i'm not sure.
Guys,
I have currently Duttys HD 2.8 installed which is pretty perfect but my HD has problems with reception (drops call during calling, etc.). So I assume Hardware failure and need to go back to German Stock Rom.
The issue is now that there is no new German Romupdate yet and SPL is 1.14 (or 1.15).
How can I go back to this stock Rom. When I install it with SPL 1.56 it will not work I assume.
Any ideas?
cheers
chefffe
the german shipped rom should match your phone.
You shouldn't need anything except the shipped setup.
Have you tried it yet?
If you have Duttys V2.8, use USPL to flash to original stock rom
EDIT
More info can be found here
but will the installed SPL 1.56 work with an old german Rom (after Rom flash with using USPL 2.5)?
As far I understood old Rom need also old SPL Version?
you must have flashed back to spl 1.14 in order to install duttys rom. uspl is only temporarily for one flash procedure. you keep spl 1.14
so the only thing to do is to flash your stock rom. that´s all

no .. thats exactly the problem! with duttys 2.8 you need first flash back to 1.14 but then to install spl 1.56 which i have currently installed. i think this new spl will not work with old stock german rom.

Are you sure the reception problems derive from the ROM? Maybe you have to try a different radio!

When you flashed to Dutty's 2.8 you had to have an SPL v 1.14 and then install an original HTC 1.56 rom. During this process it upgraded your SPL to v 1.54. If you now want to downgrade to an older HTC German rom that is not based on SPL v 1.54 all you need to do is download said rom and install it after running USPL.
You can check this by placing your phone in the bootloader right now (turn it off. hold volume down button while pressing power on button). It should say SPL 1.54.0000. If it does then all you need to do is run USPL and then whatever rom you want to load. When you load the older stock German rom it will replace your current SPL with the one from that rom. I have yet to see an original / stock HTC rom that does not include the SPL in it. And if you check the Blackstone Wiki these are the instructions...

Like MAMeingast said, have you tried flashing another radio? You should try running USPL and flashing the radio you were using before Dutty's 2.8 first in my opinion... and see how this works!
I tried 3 different Radios.
The very strange thing now is, that I flashed the new wwe update rom (with spl 1.56). Then it worked pretty normal. So I flashed back Duttys (because much better) and have the same problems again. I flashed now again back to wwe and for the last 4-5 hours I have normal reception ???
Thats really weird because I thought Dutty is using the same 1.13.25.24. or even more strange if the radio is not changed with his rom.

Dutty's rom does not include the radio but it may be changing the rilphone.dll! I'm not sure. But it's still weird because if you flash the WWE 1.56 rom and then Dutty's all should be well and good.
I need to revert my last info. Also with the 1.56 wwe Stock Rom my Phone is not working properly. I tested now 6hours and it was several times not reachable although I had full reception. I think my HD is really broken .. **** ...
Therefore I need to install the old german stock Rom with SPL 1.14.
I still dont have a clue how to do that

It's actually quite easy! Do you still have the stock German HTC ROM with SPL 1.14? If not, download it again. Put your phone in bootloader, run USPL, and load the stock German HTC rom. That's it! You can verify your SPL reverting back from 1.54 to 1.14 by going into the bootloader afterwards.
exactly thats it. I didnt thought that spl 1.14 is also included in this rom so I was a bit afraid. But I tried and it worked without problem. Thanks man ;-)
New HTC ROM update incl. german 14/4/09

So your phone worked fine with the stock rom?
i´m with german e-plus provider and have to assume poor recepion qualities with my touch hd, either stock or custom rom / radio roms ...
only thing that helped was disabling 3g - back to 56k internet
So: did you reflash work? Phone usable again?
I gotta return my touch hd for repair (Wifi and camera are not working). I do not want any surprises when it comes to the warranty, so could someone please tell me what spl should be on my device if I have flashed the latest official rom from HTC. I currently have 1.54 that I manually added when I flashed the 1.56+ roms from this site. Can HTC tell that I manually put it on my touch hd versus their software flashing utility? Thanks

As long as you have official HTC rom on device (no matter when released) and don't have HSPL or cooked rom, you are fine to return device and not void warranty
I am facing the same problem also, the thing is after the spl, for some rom the start up screen will looked lees color, or funny.
I there any way to revert to the original spl?
yes sounds like you need to revert to stock spl 1.14.0000

At the bottom of the thread is a section on how to revert to stock SPL.
Hi everbody
I used HARDSPL to flash cocked roms on my X1
the point is I have to send it to repair the keypad, I tried SE update center to flash the stock 6.1 ROM, but it didn't work as I expected, so I flashed the stock RUU_SIGNED from the sticked Hard SPL thread here, tried to update again using update center, and bingo, it's working, but my point is, what should the boot loader screen now be showing, mine shows
"KOVS110
SPL-0.78.0000
MicroP1-787
MicroP1-707"
any problems if I sent it to the repair center now?
thx
Maybe this topic can help you to find out how to restore SPL
read "how to restore Stock SPL for warranty reasons."

you're fine, that's how it should look like.
(actually, you reflashed stock-spl 0.72 and SEUS updated it to 0.78)
if you still had hard-spl on it, it would read "0.72.OliNex".
edit:
did you flash a stock-rom first or not? you should do that BEFORE flashing stock-spl... (in case you're using a custom rom)
Thanks dreaminside

well, if SEUS didn't complain...
concerning the bootloader-figures you're fine.
Looking at your SPL its looks like you've been successful
Hi,
I have a Dutch Touch Pro2 (unbranded) which I would like to return for warranty (some buttons on the keyboard aren't functioning properly) and I don't know much about SPL...
I've flashed the stock HTC Touch Pro2 ROM which I found at the HTC website. Now is my question:
Should I also flash back a stock SPL or is that included in the stock rom?
If not, where could I find it, and how should I flash it back?
Greetings,
Job
you have to flash "stock" hardspl back. I know as much as you about hardspl, sorry i couldn't be of more help :\
Yes, it does contain the SPL.
HardSPL by OliNex does contain a black, so the SPL doesn't get changed.
Hi Jackos,
I've flashed back Stock SPL 0.87... So when I now update my ROM, should it change the SPL then to the SPL included in that rom?
found it here by the way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131
