Jordan........ Who cares. - Off-topic

Hi. I was just thinking if it was only me who is not bothered what so ever what Jordan (Katie Price) is up to nowadays. She is all over the papers.... and for what?
Maybe it should be taken to the vote to get her sent to some far away land where people might give a crap about who or what she is climbing into bed with this week.
No offence to Peter Andre but I think it all went down hill for him just after the single with Bubbler Ranks charted!

If you want my honest opinion on her I think she's an ugly cow obsessed with herself who spends little or no time with her kids and only cares about herself.
I have no time for her and cannot undertand why everyone else has!! Breasts are to big, her lips are massive (fish lips), she looks like an umpa lumpa.
I feel sorry for her kids as its all about her her her.
Maybe came across as a little strong, but world would be a better place if they just ignored her!!

Totally agree with Fallen Spartan
There are a lot of beautiful women in this world and she's just not one of them, talk about being in a delusional state she must be to even think that she's got the looks.
Falling/tree/branches think you get the rest?
And i also feel sorry for the children and what the media spotlight has done to them.

there aren't many replies since people don't care for her hehe

Ironic is it...I'm as geeky as a girl can get, and I have the hardest time finding a guy! The vast majority of you just aren't interested in a girl that is smart, makes a good living, would rather spend the day playing with an XBox than going shopping... but isn't drop-dead gorgeous with a sexy, hot body. I seem to generally attract the loser types that are 40 and still living with their parents.

Sad, huh? I work as a freelance programmer (have a popular ecommerce software package that I sell and support), set up my own home network, do a lot of beta testing and reviewing for other people, and so on. Like a fair number of geeks though, I didn't have great social skills growing up, didn't really fit in with girls my age. So always feel like I'm playing catch-up now.
Geez, this wasn't a topic I really expected to get into on here!
Ive recently started to develop a case of yellow fever. That seems to be your best bet if you are looking for nerdy and cute girl. However its a matter of taste, not everyone is into that.
As with all stereotypes, its not true 100% of the time, but its it has been for me so far.
A lot of us geeks got our first real social skills from forums like these.... that's not entirely a good thing, either. lol

You know, that's very true in my case. I've been networking online since the earliest days of the web and even before that on BBS's (anyone remember those?!) I was much more introverted and shy then, these days I am far more confident and articulate in large part due to all the years of throwing myself into the middle of discussions online. And yeah, it's a catch-22 for sure. I do think some guys are intimidated by me, not so much even that I am brainy, but because I do have opinions of my own and will argue for them. Not to the point of being argumentative by any means, and in a real fight I will almost always back down first...but I know I've thrown some guys off because they will make some statement about something political or such, and I'll just come right out with "Oh, I don't agree with that at all." For all that men will talk about wanting someone who is witty and intelligent, etc. I often find that they aren't sure how to handle it when they get it.

Is it just a rumer that Steve jobs is gonna die?

From what I have heard on some news sites on the internet, Steve jobs only has weeks to live. It is about his cancer which is eventualy killing him. I don't like him at all but if it is true, I do find it sad to hear. I would never wish this on anyone.

Heck, the off-topic Mafia's Cook has no problem with this topic, so what's the big deal? It is semi-relevant, because love him or hate him, he started the REAL touchscreen trend. I'd imagine that Android would be using full physical keypads instead of touchscreen if it wasn't for iPhail, despite the general opinion of its usefulness.
Anyway, the rumour that Mr Jobs is dying is unconfirmable, as the original source is National Enquirer, which is a tabloid magazine. And the doctor who said he's dying based his opinion on pictures of Steve Jobs. Pictures.
Make of it what you will.
There's all kinds of wild speculation flying around out there right now. The list of people who actually know what's the case is likely very small.
What really gets me though is the sheer hatred and malicious ill-wishing I've seen going on out there about Mr. Jobs. I think there a lot of jealous, personally insecure folk out there, and that's actually pretty sad. I mean, by way of example, I hate Microsoft and strongly dislike the attitude and actions of Bill Gates, but you won't find me wishing death upon the man, or anything of the sort on his family or friends.
It's clear that we have a lot of dangerous, irrational people out there, and this makes me sad.

I have been keeping an eye on news sites and stuff now for 48hrs and I still not convinced. If Steve was really going to die, I think it would be all over the news by now.
Although, that being said, he is a very ill man and if he were to pass away soon I would not be surprised.
Personally i don't like apple and I don't like Steve jobs like I said at the beginning of this thread but he still is a human being and I hope it is not true.

No offense, but the topic is about a mans life. I don't think anyone here(Or I hope anyone wouldn't) wish something like this on anyone else. That post comes off as very rude.
I saw that article featured on gizmodo.
It's probably a rumor unless you believe that 2 "prominent" cancer doctors saying that Steve Jobs has weeks left to live by, if you can believe it,
looking at photos of his ass from his jeans.
so I don't think Steve has weeks to live. The national enquirer is 99.99% bs.

I'm just curious as to how good Android would have been without the iPhone as a big fat target to shoot for. Apple would be no where near as influential or profitable, imho, without Jobs at the helm. Granted, he may piss on his customers opinions, i.e. antennagate, yer holdin' it wrong!, but the fact remains that if Apple wasn't pushing out quality products the whole community would be lesser for it.
totally agree...
Apple first don'd the PDA term back in 1992 around the release of the Newton message pad.
On another note.
I can't understand why anyone could say that don't like someone if they have never met in person...

I was about to post that it was a good idea for a thread..
..and then realised it was. 3 months ago!
I don't even remember posting in it before. Second bite at the apple... i would still say that people being dumb grinds my gears. It's got nothing to do with education. You can teach a monkey to solve puzzles. I'm not impressed by qualifications. Any idiot can memorise a bunch of stuff, regurgitate it in an exam and get 'qualified'.
I respect people for having original thoughts of their own. For being creative. Isaac Newton realised that contemporary Math wasn't cutting it.. so he invented Trigonometry. INVENTED it. I can barely spell it! Of course, while he was mostly focused on turning Lead into Gold, he somehow found the time to discover Gravity and come up with the Laws of Motion.
The highly qualified people is see at work every day are chemical Engineers and even Doctors. I sometimes wonder how some of them even manage to tie their own shoe-lace some days. Most of them are as clever as a block of cheese.
There's no excuse for being dumb. If you feel that perhaps you are dumb? Pick up some books! You've got one lifetime to find out as much as you can about the universe. Don't you feel the clock ticking...?
I can read minds, doesn't that make sense?
It's uncanny how you can sum up my frustrations into one rant. And somehow you managed to remove the swearing I would have incorporated into it as well!

It took an extra five minutes to edit out the swearies..!
Seriously though, i've been around people of all walks of life. There are two individuals that spring to mind. One was a Tree Surgeon, (arborist), and the other was a common labourer...same as i was. The former was my age, my level of 'education', and even in my line of work.. but man did he make me think. He questioned everything, (same as i did), but the conversations we had would go on forever. "If i kicked out the door-stop...", one conversation went.. "where does the energy go when the door slams shut?", he asked. That one went on for hours!
Bearing in mind that this this was a fit, popular guy with a stunning girlfriend and a career in manual labour. He was a wealth of knowledge about Cetaceans, and most anything about the animal kingdom. He taught me that i still had a lot to learn myself! It wasn't the fact that this stuff even crossed his mind that surprised me.. it was that he questioned everything. It was that curiosity that made him awesome. You could see that behind his eyes were cogs that were always turning. Someone else with a thirst for knowledge!
The other example was a kid i knew who was trying to earn a bit of cash-in-hand, doing the hard labour on a day-rate. We'd chat while we worked and we'd get into the deeper discussions of Evolutionary Psychology, for example. Told well, maybe some students will listen... of those, some might even understand the subject matter. Of those who understand, you might find a few who could go one step further and add something novel to the conversation.. come up with an original suggestion or two of their own. So here's a 17 year old kid who having never even thought about it before is suddenly discussing the subject with me like a pro! Not only discussing it, but taking it places even i hadn't thought of. He's making me re-think my own beliefs!
That is insight! That is the same flexibility of mind that led the great thinkers of our time to advance science, not only in small steps, but in giant leaps! Few have that ability..and when it comes, it's often from the most unexpected places! Einstein was a Patent Clerk, for instance. Ok, he was a Math prodigy too, but i bet he didn't waste his free time watching reality TV shows!
If only a fraction of the people in the world were allowed to reach their potential, we'd be in the midst of a second Renaissance right now. Instead, we're held back as a race by short-sightedness, inertia, dogma..and an unforgivable amount of ignorance!
*And that, Ladies and germs, will have to be my rant for the night! I'm sure it could have been a better read, but i'm not one of those who will advance human knowledge in any significant way. One of you you could be though...if you could just get off of your fat, lazy arses first!

Just float on man. No woman is worth the trouble. Just ask error or me. They're a pain in the arse.
-My life is a shooting range, people never change-
Alan, personally i think you're a bloody nice bloke. You're open, honest, sincere.. and i don't think you'd know a scruple if it hit you in the face. Basically you're too nice for most girls you're age. Hell, too nice for most girls full stop. You are in more danger of getting into the 'friendship zone' than any man i know!
All that means is you'll find it hard to find a woman that deserves you. The others will be going after guys that treat them crap, that don't appreciate them and who take them for granted, while you are left looking on from the sidelines wondering to yourself, "what the hell does she see in him?" That is the lot of the nice guy i'm afraid.
The good news is that those aren't the women you want to be with, and you're better off without them anyway. Right now, if one of the more shallow females that you may be acquainted with started showing interest, you would be right to question if there may be a chance that you became a gaping asshole over-night. If however, an equally kind and sincere woman decided to show some interest, no matter how long it took for that to happen, you would know that it's something worth betting the bank on.
The worst thing you could do right now, and the biggest pitfall, would be to try and be someone you're not, just to attract someone you like. Tempting as it may be to try and elevate your status to that of some sort of man-god, women of either kind will see right through that facade. Either way you'd lose!
What you should be doing right now is carrying on with your life. By all means take the opportunity to speak to as many members of the opposite sex as possible. But do it as one person to another, not as some post-pubescent teenager desperate to get his rocks off, Otherwise you may as well tattoo 'i want to get laid' on your forehead, guaranteeing that it will never happen! Don't be a douche, be the nice guy that you actually are. Be yourself.
Of course if you're good, you can fake confidence and charm. I know this from experience. You can trick a woman into liking you. But ultimately, you lose big time doing that. You can't keep up the pretence forever, and you'll always be with a person you have no respect for anyway. Epic Fail basically!
I'd say that perhaps 5% of the worlds population are decent people. People that i personally would want to know. I'd include you in that small percentage. Sadly that means that the odds are stacked against you when it comes to finding a suitable partner. After all, you shouldn't have to settle for one of the 95%, and everyone on your level is fighting it out for the remaining 5%! But on the upside, those 5% of decent women and prospective partners have already ruled out the 95% of sub-standard men and are looking for the 5% that they would be happy with too.
Another way to interpret that is to say that if you are average, and you are looking for average, there's a damn good chance that something will happen for you... no matter how 'average' that something is. If you are above average, and are looking for something that is equally decent, you had better bloody well be patient; but the payoff will be so much better in the end.
The way i see it playing out? One day when you're still scratching around in desperation trying to pinpoint your ideal woman, she'll already be in your life, trying to make herself known to you... and if you're lucky, you won't miss the signals.
Two things:
He is 14 or 15 (should be concentrating on having a life and school)
and he is a Troll...and this comes from a troll...I guess it takes one to know one
If I see any more threads like this I'ma lose it
When i was 15 i was already living with a girl. I wish there had been the Internet back then to vent my spleen in. As it was i had to write letters through a Sunday School support scheme for 'adolescent issues'. If i needed support with my teen problems i was SOL.
Alan is a genuine guy facing the same problems as any guy his age. He deserves a little guidance. God knows i wish i had some at that age!
Great advice Dirk. You are a true gentleman. Wise words as always. I (and I'm sure many others) read and respect many of your posts.

I always see really pretty girls be like made fun of and yet it makes them like them better. I tried that once but ended up being an ass so I stopped and went back to be myself. I also tried to dress differently and didn't like it. So i went back to baggy ripped jeans and a plain $5 shirt.
I also know about the too nice guy thing. People always tell me I'm too nice and when my someone make fun of me someone always tells me why I don't standup for myself....I don't know maybe I just don't like violence or yelling.
Anyways...thanks a lot for this advice!!!!
So now moving on xD
Should I chase another girl at school? or just not care?

Any Gay here who still can't accept himself?

I'm gay and I'm always wondering if there is somebody like me who still can't accept themselves as a gay men. I believed I'm already Gay since I was a kid like 4, because I've had a feeling towards men in that age already. Like having a crush with them. I clearly remember that. And the usual kids were making a jokes of marrying a woman, but not me, I want to marry a boy instead. Lol.
In my case, you won't notice I'm Gay. I dressed like a real guy, I moved and speak like a real man. My family don't even know I'm gay. I lived in a Muslim country and in a muslim community. In short I am a Muslim(please no bad comments just because I am a Muslim). It's quite difficult for me to reveal my real identity because of my surroundings. Though I fallen in love already with my best friend, I still managed myself not to pursue what I wanted. There were also so many gays who entertained me, but because I am not serious about it, I always ignored them. I really wanted to be a real man. I always pray that one morning I woke up and becomes straight already. But this is me. This is inborn. Nothings happen really!
I've always dreaming of marrying a woman, having kids and a normal family. But I am very afraid that I might just hurt my wife because I can't really love a woman truly.
Anyone here like me too? Well I guess......... I don't know. Lol
Just cause you like dudes doesn't mean you're not a "real man", bro
I hope you can find some support here or irl, it must be quite difficult for you in the situation you're in but you have my acceptance even if you can't accept yourself (Y)
Thank you so much! Your comment are really appreciated. God bless you and your family.
I'm not gay but my entire family is.

God blessed you mate and to your family too. You must be very careful to your sorroundings and in social media too. I am in Malaysia and even the majority of people here are Muslims, Gays are everywhere and it is spreading rapidly. It's worldwide. Take care mate and I belived it's hard to convert back to straight.
Having a preference for the same gender is always a choice of *will* more so than any other factor realistically speaking. Be that as it may, those choices reside betwixt you and God alone. That being stated, coming from a Muslim related country, you are indeed wise to tread carefully. Even in Malaysia.
God's wisdom be with you always.
