other than the extended battery which adds a huge amount of bulk to the hd2.
i would like to know are there any legit batterys that are what they say they are.
I believe it has been mentioned many times...u should check out the 1500 mah battery forum listed. So far people have been testing out the ANDIDA battery..still waiting for people to make a review.
im actually running the andida battery this moment.. its a 1500mAH battery over the standerd 1230mAH.. which makes the capacity 22% more.. which is about right for the performance... its very good and i do recomend them as i have had no problems with mine.. i will say tho they take a while to arrive and you might want to get a charging dock that charges an extra battery at the same time as the phone... so then you can carry an extra about if needs be..
hope this helped

don't spread bull**** to the readers here, Sam.
At this moment, there's no legit higher capacity batteries other than the official extended one and I believe one other from mugen batteries (1300mAh). The rest, even the 1500mAh andida one, is around stock battery capacity (~1200mAh).
Check out the 1500 standard battery thread..
just found this while looking for bigger battery, 2300mAh but it sticks out the back, web site is htcdirect.co.uk
just asked the question about cases that will owrk with it as well, will keep you posted
HTC HD2's extended battery with kickstand looks really good, think i might get 1 Not badly priced at £37.59

That's the difference between marketing shots and the real thing.
Not so beautiful anymore.
sam morgan is not spreading bad news as i also have the andida battery,... says 1600mAh, which may not be true, but it does have a longer live than the OEM, and andida, are very pleasant to deal with,...

The ebay listing description says 3800 mAh but the photo below of the battery shows only 3000 mAh. Hmmmm.....
Hi..
So big, thx for this information !
dont bother with ebay batteries, they are terrible i owned one and it lasted a day at max, you get what you paid for.
Ive got the GSM model of Nexus S (non-4G). Is there a quality high-capacity battery for my phone? I already found some batteries with good user experience but all of them turned out to be for 4G only (because of the back cover). I was counting with Mugen 3900 as a sure thing but now I was told its not for my phone model. So ... what now?

Wondering about that too...
FYI, Mugen HK just emailed me that their 3900mAh battery is compatible with i9023, Im just not entirely sure the lady isnt mistaken ...
i am planing to buy a 1850 mah battery for my htc hd2 and i have two questions:
this battery:

1. is it safe ( will the phone overheat and the processor die or something ?? )
2. if it is safe, is there some special setup to install the battery that it would work correctly or just turn off my hd2 and switch the original 1300 mah
with a 1850 mah battery and turn it on again ?
It is a cheap cell with false mAh claim.
At best it will be around same as original 1230mAh
At worst it will explode !
Be careful with these after-market cells.
Andida, Feipusi & Tekcomm have some proven record but none had the claimed capacity of 1600mAh+
I have Andida cells almost 2years old & they work quite good & at about $6.50USD are cheap replacements.
Feipusi & Tekcomm also been ok for me as cheap replacements/spares.
Standard size 1600mAh+ batteries simply are not available ...
thanks for the info.:good:
review on standard size better capacity batteries are available in forums. but personally i would say difference is negligible. try the high capacity bulky batteries. they atleast provide your device with some juice to work on.
no problem it is safe
If they are the same size as the original 1230 mAH, they are not 1850. I use original HTC 2300 mAH battery
where can i buy this ?

Big fat liar.
How can you say it's safe when there's not even a ONE safety mark print?
Also those batteries are a lottery:
-it might work, may not.
-it may explode and HURT/KILL YOU
Try more reliable sources(Andida, Mugen though they sell fake capacity batteries too) which are known better and at least contain CE marking. Or best, buy OEM battery for real capacity and safety.
With cheap batteries you never know what could happen.
Also, there is NO bigger capacity than 1230mAh for standard flat battery. IT DOES NOT EXIST.

This person should not be here at all for giving false info to people. What a cr**ker !
These cheap chinese batteries will do nothing but damage your HD2 in no time. Buy something as suggested by Mr.B, he knows what he's talking about.
I have used the Mugen extended batteries that gave no problems up till I ran over the phone with my bike. Gave the phone new life as I didn't have to charge it daily anymore.

+1 for Mugen extended batterie. I have one with 2600mha. i have no problems, only the battery temperature is a bit higher. :good:
Hey,
I'm using Mackay ROM ICS and my battery recharges for a very long time..
I started recharging it 2 hours ago from 0% and now it's on 66%. Which means it will take 3 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
I bought a new battery (Genuine.. atleast claims to be) from Ebay. Came yesturday.
It looks really good and high quality, even better than my old one that came with the device, which I bought from a known local cellphone band company in 2010.
How can I tell if the battery is genuine? It was really cheap, from Germany. Costs like 8$.
It weighs 35 grams while my old one is 33 grams. Plus my old one has lots of stickers from the company and all the warranty stuff, so it's probably even lighter than 33..
Thanks.
If its a new battery it'll take longer to charge than normal so give it time.

OK.. I will try.. But I realy doubt it's genuine although the graphics, build and feel look really good and authentic..
My original one has this little thingy in the bottom of the battery, in the middle of it. Like here:

The one I bought doesn't.. Like here:
Everything looks spot on. Just that middle thing is missing..
What do you think?
i can't tell if it's fake or not to be honest. only thing to do is let it fully change and see how long it lasts.

I would wanna see how much size it adds.
This is a Question I would also like to see someone answer.
After buying 3 different types of battery for my old note 2 that didnt give any more of a power boost than my original battery, I am pretty skeptical about extended batteries at this point.
Fake. If it says 6500mah, its not. Best case scenario, maybe 4000mah. Will it last longer than stock 3000mah? Very likely. BUT... it won't be twice as long but the battery is >2x the stock size.
might be true. i mean its possible. but it will most likely make the phone around the battery area double in width...so not worth

of course its possible there are a lot of externe battery its very little and more 5400... then why not
If it is not physically larger in size, or heavier in weight. Then it is going to be around the same capacity as the stock battery. From my experience, most aftermarket batteries are not going to perform as well as OEM no matter the brand. Manufactures are good at making the most out of their battery size. The only way for you to get more capacity would be to get a battery that is physically larger in size, or a new and better battery chemistry.
I found This one :
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Super-Capacity-Business-3-8V-7000mAh-Li-ion-BL-51YF-Battery-For-LG-G4-H818-H819-/262010074491?var=&hash=item3d0104757b:m:mnTW8myEolwGEIyniHHw1OQ
rather than searching for a big, giant, very heavy battery, why not just focus on what you can do to the phone to cause it to run cooler and use battery slower, my stock LG battery lasts 2 days on a charge because I have software to limit what apps are running in the background and to back down the CPU speed when not in use!

6000mAh
All those ones like that are actually 6000mAh batteries.
If you check the dimensions, they are double the thickness.
Double the thickness = double the capacity, it literally is as simple as that.
There is no magical new battery tech that only some generic company has to add in extra mAh to their batteries.
They are all Li-Ion batteries.
That said, check out the reviews here for ZeroLemon and MPJ, both have been extensively tested by XDA members and have multiple well written reviews here.
They both also give you every mAh they state in their description.
You can not go wrong with either of them.
Stay away from the brands that have skeptical claims of capacity, remember equal increase in size and capacity. (Generally)
Sometimes there is less capacity gain than there is size gain, that depends on the quality of the cells used in the battery.
This may sound weird but I'm not satisfied with the batter life of this phone.
Is there any battery case available or do you make one yourself?
Unfortunately, The Latter.
Here's mine!
Now finally the claims of "2 day battery life" sees the light of day.

I couldn't get my hands on Epoxy resin or silicon sealant so hot glue FTW, for now.
To not make it look ugly I just stuck a piece of torn jeans on top to make it bearable.
6Ah Li Po battery, 1A Power bank board, Portronics L-shaped USB-C cable, lots of hot glue, a flatback sacrificial case and patience are all you need to make one yourself.
Technical but it seems too ugly
Cool stuff!
hey, you could try to use someone's 3D printer and software to create a much cleaner housing/case for the external battery

ideally for strength I would go with CNC milling aluminium, or better yet, mill a new chassis and add 2x 4Ah cells in series, since the battery inside is 2x 2250mAh in series for 7.2v, but I'm working with what i have for the moment

I like this battery case
it's mind-blowing,,,
I actually just registered on this forum just so I could congratulate you on your work of art! I was looking for a battery case for my OnePlus 8t and found this post... I probably will not get around to duplicating your success... but I also had the same idea. At long last, I'm surrendering my Note 4 from 2015 with its ZeroLemon 10,000 mah battery which would go at least 2 days often 5 between charges. I joked that I could go on a 3-day drinking adventure and when I sober up my phone would still work to tell me where I'm at! Just kidding of course... I hardly drink. Anyway, your kind shall triumph! Ha ha! Keep up the handiwork!
Interesting work
