Hey guys jus wondering if theres a way to disable the time on the top taskbar/notification area. Thanks
I know for a fact that it can be done in the older builds of WM6.5, But how do u do it on the newer builds
the behavior desired is already "done" in some builds/flavors of WM6.5.
i might be wrong but what i gather is that it is a certain mix of files concocted by the chef that causes the desired behavior to break. TPC and abusalza often used the SAME base build for WM6.5 in some of their recent ROMs and abusalza's ROM was usually well behaved regarding respecting the show clock in titlebar setting, while TPC's ROMs were almost always "broken" in this respect. i recall TPC himself claimed that he "has to have it this way" cuz something else important breaks if he lets the title bar clock setting have its way.
still, it may very well be a new intended behavior from M$ in the very newest of builds (which i haven't tried out first hand or even read about in detail yet). however, this is unlikely because M$'s DEFAULT CHome has a big clock panel on the today screen and it would be redundant to have the titlebar clock always showing, especially when on the home screen. it makes more sense to show battery in that position in the titlebar when on the home screen.
hope that helps in some way??!??
EDIT: or is your question actually about COMPLETELY removing the titlebar clock AS WELL AS the battery meter that mutually exclusively pops up in its place?
Thanx not to worry, its not possible to remove time in the taskbar on newer builds so im stuck wid it
Hi,
I'm running my tytn II on TPC Elite 6.5 (it's how I got it)
However, aside from the m2d being completely useless in landscape, the time doesn't "sit" in the correct place (image attached) on the slide to unlock screen.
Is there a fix for this?
Also, if anyone can suggest a rom good on battery, ram and with the standard 6.5 "chome" screen I'd be happy to hear from you (if it has the slide to unlock feature also I'd be happy!)
Thanks

As it has been stated more than a thousand times, M2D was ported from a device that does not have a slide out keyboard, therefore it has been hacked into landscape as far as it can. It is what it is.
That is the " mega " screen, the clock is supposed to be offset from the gray background, just look at any other mega theme.
If you do not like either, there are plenty of other UIs around that were actually meant for the Kaiser, that work in landscape. And if you search, there are 100's of SU2U themes that you can use.

I'm aware M2D is a port, that's why I said aside from it sucking in landscape. I don't use it anyway. It has been disabled on my rom.
Why on Earth would anyone think having it offset like that could look good?! Thanks for the link. I'm looking for a new rom (I say looking, haven't found one yet.. is it more difficult to flash than the wizard? It's already been flashed, so I assume it's ready to go in terms of setting it up?), but first would like to knock it back down to an official rom for a bit. Is this rom the correct one for my device? Or, as it's a dutch phone, should I use a different English version (I don't want it in Dutch you see).
As a guess i'd go into S2U2 settings and disable the Top Curtain... & bottom as it's overlapping the droid look slider...
Thank you Stylez!
Exactly what I was looking for, and it seems I can simply change the background (which is what the grey part is).
Hi all. I've searched and searched the forums and the net and can't seem to find anyone who has the same problem as me..
I've been wanting to change the touchflo/manila icons on my Touch Pro, and have tried all sorts of cabs and apps to do this, including Manila Cusomizer and MaxTTM as well as others..
What I've found is that with EVERY one, the icons on my touchflo/slider bar whatever you want to call it come up TOO BIG to fit into the space that they're supposed to, resulting in a cropped button/icon..
Surely someone must've had this problem and figured out the workaround? I'm guessing it's something to do with my VGA display and the icons are designed for XVGA or QVGA? I don't know.. All I know is that they look crap, when they should look sweet..
Can anyone help?
I'm running Cap's Special ROM on a Touch Pro if that helps.
Thanks!
Not exactly sure what you mean. Are you using MaxManila - I know there are problems with tab icons being cut off at the top with some ROMs using it? Are you able to post a screenshot so we can see exactly what the problem is?
Hi guys,
So I'm one of those guys still living in the dark age of Windows Mobile Standard. I don't see many good themes posted for good ole non-touchscreen phones, so I thought I'de give it a shot.
Critiques are encouraged!
More information to come...

i have broke my last smartphone a while ago (and now all my smartphones are died)
but imo your theme is perfect and nice... very cool text on screen (great chars, slim font)
i love the themes without useless icons ^^
maybe you could add a titanium slider (or only an underlined graphic to the active panel)
the page counter is a little "oldish" maybe you could redesign it and move to another position
and for least a thing (i think is impossible): make the long titles of panels sticking/sliding to read the whole text in it (e.g. in the calendar panel you could read only the first part of the appointment infos, if u get it orrizontal sliding you could read it all like the music info panels) but for me this is impossible
so now i haven't a device to test it, but i like, nice job! thanks to sharing

are you still living in the dark age of Windows Mobile Standard? i wish that times return for me
i miss my old winmo NONtouch... actually i hate to have to tap with my finger on these little display (e.g. i was texting on my htc wings 50sms/hour , now my frineds joke me cuz it seem that i cannot write in a correct italian language...)
non touchscreen are the best phones imo but actually they are lost in the old technologies limbo... and i doubt thay could come out again...

Thanks for the compliments!
I'm working on adding a titanium slider right now to see how it looks, but I designed it to not require a slider. Text on the currently selected panel is white and text on unselected panels is transparent.
I'm still trying to figure out what (if anything) I'm going to do with the page counter.
As for the long titles extending off the page... well that was sort of the goal. It was inspired by the Zune HD and Windows Phone 7 interface. 99% of the time it shows enough text for you to understand, and in the rare case you do need to see more you can always click it. I think horizontal scrolling/sliding for long text would be really cool, but I have no idea (yet) how to make that happen. If anyone know a way to do this, let me know.
i see...
the orizzontal sliding for the title is a "higher sky" and personally the cropped title text is cool
and i love the zunehd inspi.
apps and web apps panels are fantastic
(a suggestion, for the counterpage maybe you could remove the numbers and left only the arrows, white for the next page, transparent if no page avalaible)
all my compliments
I created a version with a slider. If any smartphone users make it in here and would like me to post it just let me know.
Hi gtg456x. I got a new touch phone recently because my contract for the BJ2 was up. I've always loved the performance of Sliding panel plugin, and I can't wait to try this theme. It looks uncluttered, so I think I can finally put some wallpapers that didn't used to work on the standard icon-filled theme. Thanks for sharing and for reviving my interest in the BJ2 phone
this is an awesome theme....it's too bad that I don't know how to apply anything that isn't a .cab file!
I know your probably thinking I'm stupid, but I have no idea of how to install this theme onto my blackjack 2. It looks so great, and I would really like to use it on a daily basis. Please Help!!!

I have install before the titanium panels?
With a black background and this theme is terrific. Almost Zune-esque. Thanks! Here's a screen
how to install a certain part?
can u please point me the way how to install the files that are in...
Optional images for link panels (you will have to create your own to match your links)
i have managed to install all the rest but need some help.
Now if you would port the landscape cpr to a portrait cpr, I would be happy, because I wouldn't have to do it myself (although I made myself a similar theme a couple of months ago, but I didn't release it to the public )...
like it about to put it on my jack

Looks like you forgot to install the font though.
Wasn't expecting this thread to get revived. Shouldn't be too hard to make it into a cab file for those who are having trouble.

i know you should had posted this in the windowsmobile standard section you would had got so many people here instead of windowsmobile touch screen section .Its mostly a touch screen section then for both touch and type of phones.

I have a question and a little help needed also...So here goes:
I have been using NRGZ28's EnergyROM's for quite some time and have also modified the bottom Softkeybar and buttons to be for me good looking with gold on the edges, etc. Can't post them I don't think because NRGZ28 owns EnergyROM, and it happens t be the ROM that all of my crews in Special Forces use to communicate. Like he mentions it's just eye candy, but it's also White and I kind of guess it's a Win CE 6.5 issue and the white logo is located inthe Shell32.dll, which I don't hve the Software needed to pull the Dll and change it....
So I have a small area that is the left bottom button that you hit to get t your apps and folders... Now the problem is ,is that I ave all this cool buttone, etc and have a app launch left button with a White Win Logo on it.
I can't find where to change it with Photoshop CS5 looking at all the imported manila files and all png's period?
Does any one have any idea how to change that, I thought that the "Energy.RHODIUM.23150.Sense2.5.Cookie.Dec.05" would have at least made a cover png in the ROM or place a png of the Win ColoredLogo over the coordinates of the white win logo launce button left botton andbe cool?
So I thought I would ask here as I have tried to get in touch with NRGZ28 on his Twitter page with no response..
So there,.... I am a programmer but an F-22 pilot first in the military so I leave the programming to the pro's.. and we have a lot going on right now... Can anyone point the correct direction, I have seen cab's with softkeybars that cover the white logo with the real win colored logo.
If it's in the Cookie 1.8.5 cht files or the Manila files please gove me the manila name or the cht name?
If the spelling of anything is off, sorry can't install the spell checker here.
Thanks

F-22 huh? Damn, that's a sweet bird. I envoy you. I'd just about give my right arm to go up in one (or any fighter really).
Anyways, I'm not sure about the answer to your other question. But I doubt that it's Energy specific so you might try posting in one of the more general forums like Windows Mobile Development and Hacking. Your best best is probably try the themes and skinning forum. I can almost guarantee that someone there can give you the answer to your question.
Perhaps if you posted a screen shot, we could assist you better. NRG doesn't mind you modding or changing his ROMs. As long as you don't steal credit for them, he doesn't care what you do with them.
Sounds like you're talking about the Start Button Image. Now for the "normal" 6.5.X Softkey Bar, there's a PNG. The image used depends on the theme (tsk) applied. You'll need to check the registry to find which image is being used. The Icon in Shellres.192.dll is only used in 6.5 when the start menu is on the topbar or if the .tsk is missing the link to the image in 6.5.X.
HKCU:Software\Microsoft\Today\BubbleTile\BubbleTileFlagIcon
HKCU:Software\Microsoft\Today\BubbleTile\BubbleTileFlagDisabledIcon
If you're using the CHT 2.o SoftKey Bar, the image is \windows\CHT_softkey_win.png.
Slight Change in Energy ROM Home Screen..
OK Here we go, guess I should have done this in the first place.......Making these Cell sections for the teams I work with for darkness usage gets kind of frustrating, but it helps a lot as in the resent past...!!!
The imake with the item Pointed, that I need to change not only in this Sense today screen but also the Sensity also latest versions.
Hope the image shows on the post if not just use the link.
I really appreciate th help as I do beleive as a Commander in the military that some of the teams are really going to be very busy on the other side of the globe very shortly...
The Sencity theme ROM is great with the Today Screen but the white SoftKeyBar Icon Images Iwould have to change and also all of the pages of setup areas like the ticks for settings, etc. So I am just going to and try to merge the Sencity Front Home Screen flat appointment, etc areas with this ROM for the time being...
Thank You for all the help and I also wanth to credit NRGZ298 for a great ROM, not too much but shur as H**l as much as we need..

Why not ask about it in the .sencity thread? In the screen shots of the theme in the sencity thread, it shows that bar to be working properly.

The problem he's having, is he likes the Sencity Theme, but not the white icons on the slider & settings page, etc. So, he's trying to make his own theme, but doesn't know what _manila files to edit. The attached in the above linked post has the 6 files that manila uses.
EDIT: My suggestion though is to Flash the normal Energy ROM without the theme applied. Than, download the Sencity Theme CAB. Dump the cab using WinCE CAB Manager & delete the icons, etc you don't like. Finally, remake the CAB with only the files left over to install over the normal Energy ROM.

Oh, I thought he was trying to edit the Energy ROM that he was using. I was confused since the .sencity themed Energy ROM already has that cooked in. This makes more sense.

Yeah, from what I get, he's a commander of troops using the Energy ROM on their devices & trying to make it as dark as possible so when they use them at night, it won't give away their position like shining a flash light in the air.

I'm a squad leader, myself, but I make sure that everyone who is planning to bring a phone with them turns the brightness all the way down. I normally like to use GTX. Even in the pitch black night, on the lowest backlight level, you can't see the device at all as long as you aren't stupidly waving it over your head. lol (silly new privates...)
OK;
I guess without getting too involved in what we do, I was trying " yes " to ues the nornal ROM and change the images on the Home page to the Sensity type.. I apologize folks but I can't go into too much except my positon and who serves under my command.
These young men deserve every aspect of technology and every edge that I can give them. The military takes over our carrier signal and then there is a program we run that has all we need for position of I.A.C.C. In Area Combat Control. We are some of the darkest units that exist, and are called on to go and do some of the jobs that require only a few to get some one out of an area they are trapped in of rescue combat groups that are out too far and trapped. We are at night always and never leave them behind.
So there that's about as far as if it isn't too far already as I can go into it. We have gear we use but we have found that being resourceful and using everyday items we can walk the day and if stopped it's just a phone...But hidden is the heart of all the cells power..
What I thought I would do is use the one in the image I posted and transfer the Sensity Flat Black png's in the Sencity ROM to this one. The graphics that NRGZ28 uses in Sencity on the home page are perfect but I would have to change their color to a darker or blacker background. So I guess after I used the manila extractor to bring out to a hard drive all the manila files I then change them to PNGs and place them into another directory.
I have loaded both ROM's and done the same thing and then tried to find the images in the flat Home section manila files change them over to mine with Photoshop, then re-inserted the Manila files from a dir that I save all the changed manila files into.
Then when NRGZ28 comes out with a new ROM I load it and then insert my images over his and PRESTO. Done and gone to play at what we do best.
These civilian oppertunities that present themselves is up to Commanders to change so that it is on less thing my men have to worry about. If they have to type longitude and latitudes in for a pickup during a rush fire fight then they can trust the cells totally with out being seen..
I always strive to do everything I can to dodg the Gov. and not have to wait forever to get equiptment that I think is necessary... An old saying is that a good engineer will use what he's got to build something instead of buying it or ordering it through channels.. If we order it, they know somehow what we have...Bingo you got the story...Always evolving in the field is called staying alive!
Thank for all te input folks, I do really appreciate it, as I have been folloring NRGZ28 ROMS for a year now and won't change but I must make this one happen, I's just too close..
Sencity has too small of checkboxes, etc. if you have to make changes in the field.. It's great here at home. But the other normal ROM is perfectly to see but need Sencity Home Graphics....
Yep!! Went too far into it!! I hope this doesn't get away from me in the wrong way but, it's just a blend of the two. I always figured it was some where in the registry and the images..
I will be asking the XDA folks to clear this Question post pretty soon for good reasons, and keep hitting little post here and there till I have all of the Manils files to make this a simple -> Here guy's load the Rom and import these Manila files....Done Deal!!! Quick and really logical..
Thanks anain folks I appreciate your drive on this one.. Hope I placed the right info here now. If anything else is needed to explain, just let me know..
Thank You

C/S SwampFox...and it's for a reason!
Son;
I hate to say this but GTX is good stuff, but at two miles I could see the glow with an M2..Even at the lowest level you have to realize that you may be on the move and if you are then " You're waving it around ". Be safe out there and never use white background on cell as it's called Phos. Glow...
Good to see ya here though, wondered when someone would show up....!! Some of my folks are monitoring this build I'm trying and I will tell you this much, it's way harder to see a letter thats a grey color than a dimmed white back...We tested it and it and for sure that at two to three miles we could see main components lighter better than small letters dim lite..Just makes Sense <- Well go figure?
Take Care!! Be safe...! I have been doing this since Vietnam....
Now guess who got Moussahwe or what ever his name was in Iraq? Iraq troops got there and the Marines got there and both said they didn't do it.
We were standing 100 yards from them in black and listning to what they said? He was overdosed with Morphine after telling what he needed to..
1 of Fifty gone of list...
Take care again and good to type at you....
I'm out and working on this again....
Thanks for what you do Squad Leader....!
We'll be seeing you....and pls don't use GTX in the field, I know cool and and dead isn't cool, it's cold!

C/S SwampFox..
You missed the point of my post. I use GTX normally. When I'm in the field, no matter what ROM I use, The backlight is always turned all the way down. This is nothing new for me. Dimming the backlight keeps the screen in the dark. Even if you're using a black or dark theme, if you're backlight is set to auto or a high setting, it's easy to pick out.
Before we go anywhere, one of the things on my checklist is to make sure that all cells have the sound off and backlights turned down. My main point was that the theme that you use makes less difference in terms of visibility at night than the backlight control does.
Waving your phone around like an idiot will get you seen no matter which ROM or theme you use. Anyway, concealing the device is what's most important. I prefer to rely on the glow-in-the-dark equipment for its low light output and ease of concealability.
