[APP REQUEST] Facebook app with PAGES? - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Anyone know of a facebook app that allows you to post to facebook fan pages that you manage? The MS one of course does not...
I realize that you can mail in posts to fan pages that you manage but it doesn't seem to work very well (horrible delays).
Thanx!

I'm not too sure what you're looking for exactly, anyhow here's this link that may help you....
This link is too some free Facebook Clients, check to see what works best for you....
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-tag-facebook-1-dnlds.html

Thanx, I'll look into that...

... seems none of the apps you mentioned handle facebook pages.
To clarify - Facebook pages are not user accounts per se - they're company pages, like facebook.com/cocacola etc. Administrators can post to their walls. That's what I want to be able to do.

try using m.facebook.com in opera. The facebook app is way too limited in my experience as well.

Guess that's right... Too bad about the app lacking this simple feature... Thanks!

Twitter clients

Hello folks,
I'd like to know which twitter client you are using on your Kaiser. I'm using Twobile at the moment but maybe you know about better ones. Here's the link if you dont know twobile http://www.infinitumsoftware.com/
Cheers
I'm really fond of PocketTwit
+1 for PocketTwit
I've tried a couple of clients, but I prefer dabr.co.uk. It's a web-based client that uses the twitter API to deliver twitter in a mobile-friendly way. Each tweet has icons for @reply, DM, Favorite, and RT. It's so good that I use it on my PC for twitter.
Currently, twitter has problems with its API and Dabr is less reliable as a result. Even so, I still find it better than twitter's own website.
I like panoramic moTweets.
Nice UI, free with ads...

I give my voice to panoramic moTweets too.

Instant Messagers

hey guys, I have been using the stock IM app and am not really satisfied. I use msn messenger not yahoo or aim. Is there another app which is better for msn?
My problem is that the IM app doesnt work well in the background. Almost always when i leave the app and open another app (browser or game ect.) then go back to IM it is signed out or it will say that zero of my contacts are offline. This means that while i think i am online and able to receive messages i am not.
Like I said is there another app that will work instead of doing what was listed above? Also it is not necessary but i would prefer it to have a quickjump in notifications, but I would prefer a working app than to have the notification quick jump.
on the market there is an app called Hi MSN Beta, you can try that out, the dev for that app also has ones for AIM and Yahoo. I personally have never used any of them because I don't use MSN and Meebo works just fine for me.
I like meebo and palringo. Both will do pretty much any IM.
I checked out the comments on meebo and people are reporting the same signing out problem.
Try out palringo then? I don't have that problem personally with meebo, but then again I think what causes the sign outs is Android "closing" the program to free up RAM, and I don't run a lot of programs. Just my browser, work email, google email, SMS, and my weather flip clock.... do use docs-2-go a fair amount in spurts here and there, as well will use many other programs from time to time. But for most people, they would say I don't use very many different programs.
Ebuddy is the one i use... and its pretty user friendly
As was said, the reason you are being logged out is that you are running out of memory and Android is killing the IM application. Any other IM app you use, no matter WHAT it is, will have the exact same problem. In fact, the stock IM app is one of the lightest on memory, so it would probably be the best for you. Your real problem is that you have too many background services. Get a good task managing app, make sure you exclude your IM app, and kill all tasks regularly, and you should have much better luck.
i use atk for task killling

Okay, two questions:
1) is your IM app excluded?
2) how many tasks does it usually show running when you open ATK?
I Tried out most of the IM Apps in the market and i would have to say that ebuddy would be the best one for me. I use Aim+Yahoo messenger + MSN. It works beautifully.
So I tryied out hi man beta and it is perfect, it has the quick launch from notification and isn't signing me out. An added bounus is that it is made exclusively for msn so it supports everything encluding the ability to change your name and motto, sending emotions, winks, and to nudge. It also has many other features.
Loving it so far and I recomend it to anyone looking for an msn messanger app.
TRY Ebuddy
i been using ebuddy and its really cool cuz u can link different accounts give it a try its free tho

twydroyd vs tweetcaster vs. touteir vs. twitter for android

ok so this might be the wrong thread and if so the mods will move it but my question is what do the nexus one users or even the android users think is the best twitter app? i used to use twidroid and it was great but i havent used it since the switch to "twydroid" and used tweetcaster as well for not very long. i used touteir probably the longest and then switched to the official twitter for android. so i wanted to know what people like the best and for what reasons so the people who are confused as me can choose easier. thanks
It would help if you spelled "twidroyd" right.
I'm not really active twitter user but its great to read the latest news.
I used seesmic, touiteur, tweetcaster, twitter but i'm using touiteur(paid for more accounts) and that was the one i liked. It looks really slick and it works as it's supposed. the notification is also different and nice.
The only thing I loved about touteir was that you can change the colors of it.
I only use touituer as it looks the nicest UI, and I also use the official Twitter app for its system notifications and its integration into contacts app and the OS.
Twigee is the best twitter app for me.
Twicca for me
I like Seesmic because it has a widget that's dark (I like dark themed widgets).
As for the application, they're all pretty much the same and I've used seesmic, twidroid, tweetcaster, twicca and twitter for android.
Twicca is nice but the widget doesn't show tweet previews. If it did I'd probably switch from Seesmic.
+1 for Twicca. I've tried most of them, and found this one the best. It has a great UI IMHO.
Only thing missing for me is multiple accounts. Certainly worth trying out nonetheless.
Good recent comparison here
I'd say Twitter for Android is the most stable, since Seesmic crashed on me when it was doing a couple of things at once, i.e. geotagging my post and uploading a picture.
Haven't used Tweetcaster though.

i LOVE tweetcaster and Touteir. these are the two apps i use the most! its hard for me to choose which one to use so since i bought both, i find myself switching between apps every so often. i uninstall one n install the other. or ill just have them both on
Still looking for a new twitter app
For the longest time I just used SMS (on WinMo), then when I moved to android, I used SMS and Peep since it came bundled with my EVO. Well, I started really using twitter, so now I follow tons of people/bloggers/news. i set up lists to differentiate the streams. Way back int he day I had a desktop app that let me separate/make lists to keep streams separate. Is there something like that on android? I was thinking that swipe left or right could go through the different lists I have made, but I haven't come across an app that claims to do anything with lists. Currently I am testing out twitdroyd as well as Peep, but it doesn't seem that it doesn't anything substantially different. I know it has a pro version, and if it does what I want I wouldn't mind buying it, but it just has a vague "list management" feature, and the free version is "list viewing". List viewing is not as integrated as I would hope.
Any ideas or recommendations?
one thing twitter for android has thats awesome. the twitpics show on your profile instead of having to click the link.
I like Seesmic since I have to use two accounts so for multiple accounts I would choose Seesmic.
If you only need one account then I would say probably the official Twitter client.
Twicca is quite nice as well. Refer to the link to help you decide that was posted earlier. A good comparison by Engadget.

Chat tools

OK here is something im wondering, is there an App out there that can combine the Google talk, FB CHAT, Standard SMS and MMS from your carrier that also has a scrollable wodget?
In case your all wondering what a WODGET is, it's the same as a WIDGET....only its WAY AWESOMERISH!!

thats actually pretty funny dude.
trillian is avaliable but it doenst do facebook; i could be mistaken. i dont think there is an app that does all that you want...which to me seems like an opening to earn $.99 a million times...good luck
well sh-t! If I only had the brains to create such a WODGET!
What you ask is not easy - Facebook chat requires the app to be "Facebook" certified, kinda like an iPhone app only not as gay as Steve Jobs is.
Sms/MMS could be easy enough...joining contacts (IE Bob's SMS/MMS/Facebook) all to the same stream would be interesting at best....
The facebook API from what I have seen is also a nightmare, it just does way to friggin much - I assume their Chat stuff wouldn't be any easier.
EDIT:
Oh an a scrollable widget requires the user to be using ADW. And widgets are funky from what I have seen of making one.
All-in-all do able. Java isn't hard to learn, programing for Android is the hard part. Getting the idea behind "intents" and learning what some APIs can and can't do - then you have the drawables issues for Highres and Lowres devices.

[Q] Am I missing something?

So, there have been a ton of complaints about the facebook app on windows phone 8. Am I missing something? Why would anyone put an app on thier WP8 phone, when the People Hub ties all that together? I don't even have a facebook app installed, because everything I need to do is done from the hub.I can post an update, check in, see my notifications, whats new specific to my stuff or my friends that I have grouped exclusive.
So what am I missing?
Nothing. Some people are not used to having working things out of the box, so they just download apps to replace what the system already does.
My point exactly. I would even go much more further, I would ban all FB, Twitter... apps from the market since they r not needed at all. Instead, I would want some RDP apps for free, also some good database apps etc...
Good! I thought it was just me! Thanks guys.

There is quite some functionality in the Apps though that is not available in the Hub. It's conversation views in Twitter or Groups in Facebook. If you use those Features you can't rely on the People Hub alone.

Groups in facebook? Isn't that the same as Groups in the stock app? I don't do twitter, so cant answer to that. But still have found more functionality as well as easier interface when using the stock app on the phone.
I think OP has to look at things way wider. Maybe you just treat your phone more personal...
1)Facebook app can allow me lend my friend/families the phone and he can have a quick look at his facebook. (more social)
2)Facebook allow me to take control of another account I own( not saying about pages though, not sure WP8 facebook app can allow users to manage the page we owned)
3)respond to friend request.
4)As for myself, I have subscribe to many funny pages and news ones, the endless timeline give me look at what I have missed unlike the facebook/twitter integration,it does limits certain number of news/tweets and we can't scroll down after that.
I think these are the things you missing, might be more when compare to facebook apps on other platform since facebook app on wp has lesser feature.

Yea, my friends are goofballs. If I let them have access to my phone, I get crazy posts on FB, and my profile picture suddenly changes to a crotch picture. So, no one gets to screw with my phone except the better half (and now Jr thanks to Kids Corner). But then again, I do the same to them!
And I don't have more than 1 facebook account, but I see where you can add accounts, so maybe someone who has two accounts can try to add an account under thier different one? Might allow it, although, I think it would merge the two, which could become confusing.
And I have not noticed friend requests, so will have to see if I get one recently and see how that works.
I see where your coming from, guess since I am not a power user I don't utilize all the capabilities that FB has, nor the native / 3rd party app.
Thanks for clarifying, FINALLY some one did! Thanks!
Groups are not the same as WP Groups (well, something similar exists with the lists Feature but that's an entirely different Topic).
Facebook Groups can have members and have there own pin wall, calendar, etc. You can use them e.g. to bundle all the Information on a certain Topic like e.g. when you are part of a certain Club. To my knowledge I can't Access those from the People Hub.
I'm only using two of them but those pretty frequentlly. There are other Features not used by everyone but rather important to others that are not available in the People Hub.
Thanks for the info!

It's missing a lot of the interaction you'd get from the website or a third-party app, for instance:
The messaging app does not pick up Facebook message threads, for one (Just chats).
You can't edit your own status updates.
You can't friend/unfriend people.
The Facebook People Hub is meant more for getting the basic info on people that you have on your contacts list and to keep them in the loop on you. That's it. I think these limitations are by design.
