Need help in upgrading ROM - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

guyz when i enter my SERIAL number it says its invalid .... am i doing something wrong? i hv touch diamond 2 ... and i enter my IMEI number nd gives error then i tried the Serial number written on the battery it still says invalid .... what do i have to enter then :S ... just to add my phone is UNLOCKED one ...

You have to know region of your topaz and then you have enter your serial number. In rom forum there is a thread about serials and corresponding regions.

but isnt serial number written on the device fr every mobile? :S

yes SN of your device is under batery and every device has different SN builded with rules for region so you can´t download e.g. russian rom from german htc website

edit: you can download that rom from here or from htcpedia.com

Which unlock method for a SPV3000 from Orange France?

Hi all,
I upgraded my SPV3000 from Orange France to AKU 2.3 (Mr Clean). I tried my phone with a Bouygues CIM and it says "Unknown SIM status" then I have a unlock field where I am supposed to enter a code to unlock the device.
First, I tried to use a code I had from Orange to unlock my device but it did not work. Is it because I upgraded my device before using the code?
I thought this code was linked to the IMEI number, how come it does not work after a ROM upgrade.
Then I had a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=47848&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 but it say at the begining "warnnig; this steps do not work with rom version 2.21 or above so far." so what is the right method where you run AKU 2.3? In the same post, I saw something like downgrading... Fine for me. Before upgrading, I did a full backup of the original ROM. Will the Orange code work if I downgrade to the previous original Orange ROM or should I forget this code from Orange and just downgrade using the procedure of the post above?
My phone says "You tried one time". How many trials do I have and what to do when I cannot try anymore and it asks for a PUK code?
I am sorry I may ask a question with a existing post on the subject somewhere here but I am quite inefficient with the search function of this forum. It returns dozens of results where I cannot find the answer...

HTC PM 200 (T Mobile) can't update language!

Hi
I have a HTC PM 200 from T Mobile. It has german language (win mobile 5) and I just want to update language from german to english.
I know that first of all I have to make a CID unlock. But because i have a AKU 2 SPL 2.06.0001 i can't make a CID unlock for this SPL. I read that I should try to do a CID unlock with lokiwiz03a. But this utlity (as far as I read) cannot make CID unlock ... just SIM unlock. Phone is already SIM unlock.
I tried even ''ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe'' following detailed info from forum but in the end: Vendor ID Error.
So I'm stuck with german language.
Any help guys ?
Thx!
You dont need to CID unlock your device, you just need the NO_ID RUU to flash another WM5 rom. You can find it somewhere in the Charmer Upgrading forum. Good luck.
I used: ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe and the message is:
Vendor ID error.
or
Invalid Vendor ID
For ROM I Used: RUU_Charmer_1120223_11202110_11220_T-MobileUK_Ship
Phone is put in Bootloader mode but after that error above appears.
And most of the links from Charmer forum are 2 years old and are ''dead''.

This is what you need.

P8 LITE ALE-L04 bricked

Hi there,
I have a bricked ALE-L04, rooted with KingRoot without unlocking bootloader.
It worked well, until I flashed custom recovery. After that, when the phone rebooted it keeps complaining about modified recovery image with bootloader in locked state.
Since then (15 days ago) I'm asking at [email protected] for the unlocking code, with no answers (more than 10 mails already)
I have several issues when trying to get the code by entering at:
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
It needs a 16 characters Serial Number, and the phone and the box tells a 12 chars S/N
Removing the back cover I've found a 16 chars code printed inside, and thought it would be THE serial number.
When using this 16 code, it says that serial number and IMEI are mismatched.
It's so frustrating. Trying with another ALE-L04 (one that is working), I have the same problems...
If someone has any ideas, or any chance to get direct contact with huawei (they don't answer the mails), please help me
You doesn't need Huawei to email an unlock code for you.
You can get it from here, straight away: http : // emui . huawei . com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
1. Download this Product ID generator and extract it somewhere: https : // drive . google . com/open?id=0B303_1pmtlHIdDVFb0llMGU3bjQ
2. Open it up, select the model HUAWEI C8812 (it should be already selected), type in your IMEI, and voila, you got your Product ID(8-digit number)
3. Go to this link: http : // emui . huawei . com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail and fill it out with your details.
4. You'll get your unlocking code straight away.
I managed to get my phone unlocked via this method.
Sorry for the links, i'm not allowed to post them, only this way.
Thank you for your answer!
I just tried again using the model you told, and same results:
SN and IMEI are mismatched
Do you know where can I get the 16 digits serial number? It's not on the box, nor in the phone neither.
You can find both of these numbers in the phone itself.
Go to Settings > About phone > Status and scroll down, the IMEI and the Serial number should be on the bottom.
If you have multiple SIM slots, then use the first IMEI number.
If it still says mismatched, then try other phone types.
Also, the Product ID generator tells me a different Product ID than my phone, but I was able to get the right unlock code via that number...
I also read somewhere, that some Huawei devices can be unlocked via the fastboot oem unlock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU command too. It's worth a try.
Thank you!
The problem is that the serial number is 12 digits only, it's not 16 and the unlock page doesn't like it.
By the way, I have a brick, and can't look into system settings because the phone doesn't boot up.
I've tried the UUUUU.. thing but this is the result:
Code:
$ fastboot oem unlock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
...
FAILED (remote: Invalid key,unlock fail)
finished. total time: 0.134s
Still waiting more help! thank you very much for your time bro!
I've looked up few hits on the google, and seems you're not the only one with this problem.
In the Product ID generator app, you can find several phone models. Try each one of them and copy that Product ID onto the Unlock Code Request page with the same device selected there as in the program.
It'll take some time to get each one checked but I have no better solution.
Just for the record.. I have access to another p8 lite ALE-L04 and both have printed in the inside (removing the back cover) this:
1873UIF421X0xxxx
where xxxx are different.
And this doesn't match any code from the phone or in the box neither.
What I can't do:
The phone doesn't start
I can't look in the phone any data (serial, product ID, etc), because it doesn't start
I can't flash anything, because the bootloader is locked and don't allow me

Unfortunately, the link for the unlock code site requires a phone # check and it's only for a few countries (NOT the US). The email signup page just doesn't work (presumably because I'm trying to sign up from a US web address). You can enter an email, password, veri code, but dead link, just doesn't go anywhere, so this is not usable, unfortunately. Not now anyway.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 wont install factory stock firmware (SM-N960F/DS)

Hello everyone,
I appreciate all the good stuff you are supporting here guys. thanks...:good:
Just got a nice device off Ebay. according to serial number this phone is international dual sim version which was the one i have been searching for. Board serial number also matches the one which is printed on the back of glass.
Surprisingly enough the firmware and CSC is for korean SK telecom and only supports single sim with wrong imei code compared to the ones printed on the back glass (while serial number matches and there is also second sim option on the sim tray). The imei is operational and accepts carrier signal.
Apparently the phone is altered (knox warranty void 1 (0x0400)) but what makes me nuts is the fact that the device "refuses" to install its original factory firmware (according to s/n the phone was originally made for Israeli market which is the one i am trying to install.
Unfortunately i am not allowed to paste image links to show you how exactly errors look like but long story short:
- software installed is n960N
-software i am trying to install is n960F (native software)
-phone accepts 960N combination rom but refuses to install 960F combination rom just like firmware...
-phone has this error message: secure check fail : (pit) while odin says: Re-Partition operation failed
pls review the error messages and write your comments about this strange situation. thanks.
Because it's N960N, so you need to flash N960N firmware.

truth
The phone looks has been altered. You have an IMEI on the phone itself being different then what the phone is saying. Could just be a chassis replacement made to it. Or someone changed the IMEI which I know some do to get blacklisted phones working.
See if you can lookup the IMEIs and identify the phones by that to see what type of phone shows up. I think there is a way to do that..
