I've looked and looked and looked so don't blast me for asking this question, where is the download for JacHero 2.6.3. Can't find it anywhere. Read at many websites that it's the smoothest, fastest Hero Build so far....

Yeah i wouldn't believe that website. Hero improves with every update. I see that Jac didn't keep 2.6.3 but he does have 2.7.X so you may want to try that. But if you're looking for good hero builds they're all running pretty smooth. I've tried JAC 2.1 (hasn't updated in a while but it's still good) Drizzy v1.5.5/blurV1 (this what I'm using now and both are running great) MoCaDo (I ran this before drizzy v1.5.5 and It ran pretty smooth too) Again don't go based on what everyone else says.. try the rom's for yourself. You'll be amazed.
Well if you still want it here it is.

(took me 3 minutes to find)
MoDaCo 1.5.1 is very smooth, I have *never* had rosie freeze for a couple of seconds like it does on other ROMs. The website you got the information from is clearly out of date.

try jcarzz's cupcake hero rom. you just have to flash the bfs 300 10 mb hack on top of it without wiping. (the hack is on the sensehero page) it's a super fast rom
Hello
I just flashed my g1 phone with CM 5.0.7 and it seems that the battery runs out pretty fast. So I wanna downgrade to 4.2.15.1. How is that ROM anyway?
Do I just flash it with the new rom? should I do anything like wipe? and what should I wipe cuz I have more than one option when i click on wipe?
fyi: I have RA Dream 1.6.2
Thanks in advance
you should be able to wipe the first 2 then flash your rom.
some people don't bother and just wipe all 5 though.
doing all 5 will not hurt.
4.2.15.1 is very stable and a good daily rom
wipe and follow this
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Main_Page#Upgrading_from_Vanilla:_Installing_your_first_mod
Can anyone please post a screenshot of the 4.2.15.1. or at least describe it
thanks

Its a very basic Donut Rom just like all the others out there. if you want something flashy thats nice and fast I would go with SuperD 1.11 or SuperFast 1.3.3. Both of which are awesome. HTClay did an awesome job with SuperFast he just added JIT and it has a lot of eye candy.

Dunno if this got answered... WIPE EVERYTHING using armon's recovery. If you need to go to cyanogens wiki and there is step by step instructions on how to install 4.2 you can pretty much start from the begining with that one if you have an extra thirty minutes. With 4.2 you dont need the danger spl or the ext partitions eitehr but its like trying to ride a dog compared to a pony... if you know what i mean...

Sorry, I hate to hijack the dude's thread, but he seems to have gotten the help he needs, and this is on subject. Anti-subject, anyway, but I am having a lot of trouble with 4.2.15.1 and Gapp force closes. No matter how many time I reflash, flash back to ADP 1.6 then to the ROM, and wipes. Nothing seems to change it, would 4.2.13 be more stable?
no but super d 1.11 would be

I am getting the same Force Closes on Super D 1.11, too! However, if I go to the Rooted HTC 1.6 ROM, I can run it with no problems. How the hell am I getting so many FC's with a wipe and fresh ROM install?
For what it's worth I'm running the CM 5.0.7- T4 and my G1's battery lasts over a day now. It's overclocked and has ADW, so I feel like it's pretty impressive.
I also put the 2.22.23.02 radio on, I don't think that had anything to do with the battery issue, but just in case it did I'm posting that bit if info. haha
Hi all
I'm interested in trying out cyonagenmod, but i have no idea which rom to flash.
I thought i would just try the latest nightly build, found here -
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=galaxysmtd
but then found this -
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/24052-cyanogenmod-7-for-the-samsung-galaxy-s-v710-rc1-26-june-2011/
Which looks almost more official, like it might be more stable, but i have no idea. there is no description on how it differs to a nightly rom.
Which one should i try? Hope you can help.
You should flash the latest nightly, but remember the Nightly #82, need a Gingerbread Bootloader to the best work

Not just any ROM, it must include the bootloader. that means the PDA-file (.tar or .tar.md5) must contain boot.bin and Sbl.bin
check the ones marked with Sbl here
I prefer this thread with bootloaders flashable to odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16374373&postcount=70
You putting your bootloader in PDA, dont tick re-partition
I want to try CM7 too but don't know whether Traditional Chinese can be displayed and edit successfully?
cm is a very nice an diff rom....i was very happy wen i flashd it,so many choices an tweaks..very smooth an fine tuned..but also download the google addon package...the site has faq so u can search ur doubt an well..cheeerz
Thanks everyone! really appreciate it!

cm7 runs the yaffs filesystem...no need for lag fix, and the 720 video is a known problem, try the miui camera app, it improves it but still isnt perfect, find it over at the cm7 nightly thread

I installed http://dl.darkirc.info/public/talon/TalonDEV-0.4.3-I9000-CWM3.zip successfully - is that the same thing? bootloader = kernel?
The 3 button mode does not still get me in to CWM. Could anybody please help on how to get to CWM? Thanks.
what? Bootloader isnt kernel oO, and that kernel is for Samsung custom rom's no for CM7 oO
I'm thinking about trying out Miui from Cyanogenmod. I've heard that the battery life is pretty damn good on Miui but what is the best kernel?
I'm using Tiamat 1.1.4 for Cyanogenmod but can I use it for Miui also?

A sense based kernel will never work on a non-sense based rom !
We are talking about Lord Clockan's cm7 kernel:

oh after flashing the rom, do i have to install the kernel immediately or will it have a non sense kernel by default in the rom
