how old is my Xperia X1? - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just want to know how outdated my Software version is
here r some info about my X1
ROM version: 1.05.931.10
ROM date: 04/23/09
Radio version: 1.14.25.55
another Question :
can i install another ROM with WinMo 6.5 for example and still have my application and games? can i back them up?
thanx in advance

If you have the CABs you installed them with then yeah but them on your SD card backup anything else you want to keep and flash a new rom if you want
and i think you currently are on an old rom version - i am on 05/12/09 - if you want to keep your phone official the use the Sony Ericsson Update Service from their website or flash one of the custom ones here

1. Basically flash HardSPL
2. Flash Radio
3. Flash ROM
That site will show you pictures on how to do each. ITs pretty easy.
You will need to choose a HardSPL and ROM though.
I do recommend Dutty's rom for newbies to flashing.
HardSPL you will probaly need to install Olinex Developer Edition-unsigned.
Radio is optional. you dont have to flash it. However its flashed same way as you flash a rom.

Click to collapse
The version of the ROM that you are running requires Hard SPL, so i expect the previous owner has already flashed it.
To check, go into Bootloader mode (instructions can be found in the Wiki).
DO NOT FLASH WITHOUT A HARD SPL!!

help with .raw files

hi
i recently flashed my orange uk branded phone with the new official hd update rom that i downloaded thanks you people on this forum but before i flashed it i wanted a backup of my orange rom incase i needed to put it back to the way it was for return purposes
after much serching this forum i could not find my rom, so i looked into making a dump of my rom
i have now done that and i have 4 .raw files and i have no idea what to do with them
is there someone here that could rebuild the files so they can be flashed back to a phone
it could then be added to the roms that are allready available for download
the rom spec is as follows:
Operator version: 34.119.1.611
ROM version: 1.19.61.1 WWE
ROM date 11/25/08
Radio version: 1.09.25.14
Protocol version: 52.49a.25.26u
windows mobile 6.1 professional
CE OS 5.2.20764 (build 20764.1.4.3)
like i say this is a uk orange branded rom
i can put it somewhere for download if anyone wants to have a go
can anyone help

Original Blackstone ROM

Hi All, I have had a search and can't find the answer to my question. I am about to flash my HTC Touch HD to Dutty's new 6.5 R8 ROM and I wanted to make sure I can go back to my default incase I either don't like it (which I doubt after reading everyones posts) or the phone has to go back for warrenty.
I have found some original ROM's on Dutty's site but the version numbers don't look like they match. mine are as follows
I am on Orange and in the UK
Operator Version: 34.119.1.611
ROM Version: 1.19.61.1 WWE
ROM Date: 11/25/08
Radio Version: 1.09.25.14
Protocol Version: 52.49a.25.26U
The closest one I found on Dutty's site is BlackStone_HKCSL_WWE_1.19.831.0_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14 or RUU_BlackStone_Orange_UK_1.14.405.3_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14
If I restored either of these would I still be ok on the warrenty front? or is there away that I can extract my currently installed ROM and then restore it if needed?
Any help would be greatly recieved.

Brilliant Thanks. There is a closer match there but still nothing with a complete match. If I send it back can they tell from the serial number what versions should be on there? or is there a particular version that is more important than the others? i.e. the ROM version?
there is a release of a newer rom than yours on the htc site
so i guess that if you had that rom installed and your hd needed to go back under warranty then you should be fine as it can be considered an official update by the manufacturer
http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=179&cat=2&dl_id=533
Thanks, I didn't realise that HTC released ROM's for download. Thanks for both of the replies. Much appreciated.
As long as you have an official HTC upgrade rom on your device you will be fine for warranty

"New" HTC Tilt

I just bought an HTC Tilt on eBay. I am pretty sure that the previous owner flashed the original ROM, the info I can find is listed below. I don't use much data, I am interested in running android on the phone. If I read other posts correctly, I have to run android on top of windows. I would prefer to hard flash the ROM if possible but if not, no problem. I have HardSPL and CidUnlocker from the "Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom" post by mskip.
I am looking essentially for a decent android OS I can play around with.
If I can hard flash the ROM I take it I will need to flash a new radio also is that right? Do I need a new radio if I just soft flash?
Any help you can provide will be appreciated

Just head over to the Android subforum, just be prepared for a leess than stellar Android performance, especially if you are going to compare it to modern handsets with a lot more muscle.
