Anyone any idea when this phone will be available in Europe? Belgium/Netherlands/France/Germany for example. The UK is a bit too far away from Belgium to go out and buy one
I've got someone I know in the US, but should order it in a few days if I want him to bring it along.
This is purely speculation but it probably will be available globally in one sense or another at some point i.e. if google don't sell it to all countries themselves they'll probably end up letting it be sold handset only by numerous online stores. However, when they may open this up is purely up to them.
Any idea about warranty, let's say for example if I get mine from the US, and within a few months something is broken/not working. In the meanwhile, probably the nexus one would probably be available around here in Europe. Will there be support worldwide, no matter where I would buy it? Or would I need to go or send it to a US service point?

I don't think anyone can really answer that here for sure, but if they are truly selling the same exact phone worldwide in the future, there's no reason to believe they wouldn't be able to support it worldwide...
You could simply tell them that you recently moved to your country from the US, it would be quite bad in terms of customer service for them not to assist you in that case

I really really want an s730 with US 3G bands and I found that O2 has one out that looks like it's the wings200 but I don't see a way to buy just the phone from them. Does anyone know if they sell the phones separate or if there is any other place selling wings200s yet?
I thought that the US s730 was due out later in the summer / fall. Cannot remember though.
Got to wait
Hi svanheulen. I am also wanting to buy this phone. I cant even buy it unlocked right now from anywhere. Also, it just came out on UK for O2 and they are only selling this phone right now for business customers only, not yey for consumers. When they start selling for consumers, I am sure they will unlock it and sell them in online stores. This phone is Quadband and 3G Tri-band. So there's no need to wait for it to hit USA. Only if you want the warranty I guess (which is a major thing cause this phone is $$$). Anyway, hope this helps. Just got to wait till they start selling to consumers. Later...
I have one of these on order thru my work - O2 are currently saying 16th June. Will let the forum know what it's like when i get my hands on it.
Hey there,
I want to understand the process of claiming the warranty of a US HTC One outside of the US. Perhaps, someone has done it? I'm from India and will be going to Canada soon. I faintly remember something about paying $15 and being able to claim the warranty. The camera issue is forcing me to consider this as the only option!
For what it's worth, I called up the HTC people in India and they're saying that they won't honour the warranty; but I think if I can get an email from HTC USA asking them to honour my claim they'll cave.
Any suggestions?

Hello,
From what I understand, buying any sort of device from another country will generally mean you will not have a warranty unless the product provides an international warranty, otherwise, i believe that international laws may prevent you from using a warranty from your current country.
For what it is worth you could contact the HTC people in the USA and attempt to see what they say. I guess it would be fair for them to replace it for you, but I'm not completely sure about the international laws relating to the subject.
Overall, just try to contact the HTC people in the USA and see what they say. Chances are, their say will be final.
Good Luck

Hi, I want to get the Nexus 6 unlocked model before 12/25 and I can't buy it from the Play Store because they don't accept international credit cards and I don't live in the US, I've tried Motorola but they never have phones in stock, I've tried to get information on when will they get stock by chatting with several Motorola representatives but none of them have gave me information about that, and I don't want to spend $700+ on a page like Amazon or eBay, what can I do to buy and get the phone before 12/25?

welcome! I suggest you add to Santa's list.
Lots of folks with the $700+ in hand can't even lay hands on a device. Not even from those sites you are running away from.
Out of a unicorn's rear end. Seriously, they're that understocked. If you aren't in the US, your only options are Play store, carriers and Ebay (and it's like). Since the play store is out, and Moto isn't selling them directly outside the US, your only options are to get one before Christmas is to hope you luck out and can get one from a carrier, or suck it up and go on Ebay.

Actually I can ship the phone in the US, the problem is that Play Store or Motorola accept a international credit card! Think there is a way to buy it from the Play Store with that credit card or that Motorola gets stock and ships it before Christmas?
If you are actually in the US, try seeing if you can snatch one up from carriers? Or consider maybe getting a US credit card? If they don't take international credit cards then there's really nothing you can do on that front. Unfortunately Google has a lot of restrictions by region and there isn't really any effective way to circumvent it.
You could try swappa, but the price are higher. I sold one on swappa last thursday late night, i shipped it friday via priority and it arrived yesterday, thats more faster than GPS or motorola

Yeah, I've already looked over there but that's where the $700+ becomes a problem, maybe I would try over there later, thanks! :good:
noticed US Celluar finally started selling all versions of Nexus 6 in both colors, anyone know if these are locked to US Celluar or can we work around this, especially since they offer prepaid where you can just buy phone outright(for a little bit more $ though)
I am thinking of giving it a try...
Don't know when I may get my 64gb from T-mobile... already have a 32gb.... I guess if it doesn't I can just return within 15-days... thinking of doing it....:good:

Don't know how to confirm...
in the comments of the article below.... this is the only shred of evidence that it may not be... however they checked with a US Cellular CSR... so no telling if they were just reading a stock answer or what... someone physically doing the SIM swap would have to confirm as I am not confident... The other factor to is that it may work going to say t-mobile or att and not sprint or verizon or even vice versa... really need one in hand to test...

So just to re-clarify the Nexus 6 purchased outright from US Cellular is unlocked, free of any carrier branding (on the actual phone and in regards to software)? It is the same as a Google Play ordered phone, correct?
Confirmed 2 Sources

Yes this is the second source that has confirmed this... (found confirmation on Nexus 6 reddit sight as well by a user) however there are things to consider:
1. You have to live in a US Cellular area to buy over the phone or online outright. Billing address & shipping address must be in US Cellular Coverage Area
2. If you address is not in a coverage area, then you must go to the closest US Cellular Store to buy if they are carrying it in that store... for me its 2 hours away so I doubt I will do it at this point... still considering it over the weekend. This also means that they must let you buy it outright as I heard you can hit a roadblock if they just don't want to sell it to you.
Good Luck Anyone Trying... I am going to try to confirm the stock at the nearest store to me... Doubt they have the magic white elephant (64GB in White):silly:
Called my Closest Us Cellular Store.... Tell me you haven't heard this before... None in-store, insufficient quantities at launch, stores won't have them for awhile.....:crying:
I've got mine and I'm on US Cellular. Got it on the 10th. I was the first person to ask because they didn't even know if yet had it yet. Just be persistent about asking if they have it. They had to go look in the back to see if they had it. I'm not sure about it being carrier locked because I don't have a reason for switching...
Nexus 6
Can anyone with a US Cellular Nexus 6 confirm that the phone is SIM unlocked? If so, is this true even if the phone was purchased with a 2 yr contract subsidy? Thanks for your help!
Hey guys -- I'm currently on the hunt for a Nexus 6. An uncle of mine is in Miami at the moment and he's buying me one.
Thing is, he's not too technology-literate. So I'm trying to guide him. Anyone knows where I could tell him to buy me a phone? It's also to be used in Europe (is that fine? I believe the N6 is unlocked so it should work, right?).
If anyone could help out, I'd appreciate it. I've called 2 T-Mobiles (the ones their online support suggested) and both were out of stock. I also have a MAJOR preference for the Cloud White one. I really need help locating a specific place that has the phone in stock right now.
Thanks in advance.
there are two versions of nexus 6, us version and all other countries version. in the united states, they only sell the us version. you can buy it at selected tmobile locations, or selected sprint locations. or you can order over the phone from tmobile, and have it sent to you via ups.
If you're looking for a Cloud White one at a physical brick and mortar store. Good luck with that, most stores offer only Midnight Blue. You can find Cloud White only online at Motorola or Google Play Store and you'll have to wait for your order to be shipped.
Inventory of N6 can't meet the demand as of right now. Pretty much buying a N6 means you're on a queue, unless you get it from a carrier but even then with a carrier, it can be a queue.

Dang, that's a shame. I mean, I could settle for a Midnight Blue one, I suppose. But from what you've said, that seems hard to get as well. Thing is, I'm not in the US, and calls to stores cost me a ton. What I really wanted was someone who heard or knows that there's availability in a certain store, so I can have my uncle go there and buy one.
I guess that's a bit too much to ask online, but I'm pretty desperate to get my hands on some Google.
You can check best buy stores, they have online inventory listings. Just have to put in the zip code of wherever your uncle is
Edit: these will of course be carrier branded phones (AT&T or Sprint) unlocked version has to be straight from Google or Motorola I believe

The AT&T model can be unlocked, and they have the midnight blue ones in stock. Is that an option for you?

As simms22 mentioned in an earlier post, there are two variants of the Nexus 6.
XT1103 is the model for the Americas and XT1100 is the global model for the rest of the world (including Europe).
As far as I understand, the main difference is that each model supports different network bands.
More info: http://www.motorola.com/us/consumers/nexus-6-header/Nexus-6/nexus-6-motorola-us.html#nexus-6-specs
To be on the safe side, I'd check that that the US variant of the N6 supports the GSM/WCDMA/LTE bands of your network provider before purchasing it.
I did see that Miami is one of the few markets that T-Mobile actually stocks the N6 in store, so maybe call a couple more. Also, if you're okay with the 32GB midnight blue, you can have them order it and overnighted. I ordered mine on Tuesday and got it yesterday.

US Cellular has both CW and Blue so you might want to give them a call.
