Have a question - is there any way to change the power button behavior during an incoming call in Modaco a17 firmware to mute a call, not to drop, as is done in Cyanogen firmware?

Is there a way to simply REJECT incoming call (caller hears 'busy' signal when i press red button)?
For now there's no difference between pressing end call hardware button, 'igore' software button, mute ring button and flipping the phone. Every action just mute ring, but DO NOT REJECT.
And I want to REJECT caller, when i want him to know that his call is not welcome in that moment.
Thx for help or tips how to make it work
press the hangup key?
The End Call hardware button definitely rejects. Does it not?
End call hardware button = hangup key = definitely NOT or maybe it's a matter of setting which i don't know where to look ;(
OK, just tried. I called myself from a different phone. The moment I press the hardware button I hear the busy signal...
ok, i tried too from 2 other phones - no busy signal - after pressing hardware button cannot do anything on Diamond, until other caller hangs off.
The moment of hangin off is thee moment when today screen backs.
strange... - settings maybe????

OK, GOT IT!
Problem is in settings -> Phone -> Band
When set to auto - problem occurs
When manually set network type
red button really rejects.
Problem solved
But I still wonder why
I have exactly the same behaviour with my Diamond on Orange Switzerland Network. Changing the band settings to manual solved the problem! thanks for the tip!
But I'm wondering why too... :-/
Does not work here. (o2, Germany). If I get a call and press the reject button on screen the caller hears the message that the number is not availbale instead of a bussy signal.
Has someone a solution please cause this behavour is very confusing for the caller.
Thank you!
Solved the problem
I have set the wrong voice box number Now if someone calls me and I reject the call using the reject button the caller gets routed to my voicebox...
thanks........
Hi,
does anyone know if there is anything that would enable receiving calls by pressing trackball? I think it would be very useful as quite often I simply have trouble to receive call by swiping the unlock on the screen (especially when I am outside - skiing etc.). The trackball is pretty "hard" to press so I am not concerned about it being pressed automatically.
On top, it would be great to be able to wake the phone up by pressing trackball (i.e. emulate the power button).
Thanks
hi there
one thing can be solved.
nexus one can be turned by pressing the track ball.
install the cyanogen mod latest software, there is an option of waking up the phone by pressing the track ball.
but still cant answer the call by pressing the track ball.
Yep, know about the wake up option but still nobody able to enable answering the call?
I just updated to official Froyo & I see that while somebody calls, pressing the volume buttons would not mute the ring like in Eclair!
Is it the same in all Froyo builds? Anyway to get that little option back?
Confirmed. i noticed the same problem too. i used this "feature" often to prevent distraction by an incoming call while having a discussion.
Another problem is the lag in switching orientation. Sometimes it didn't even detect a change in the phone's orientation. You have to sometimes give the phone a few jerks to get the switch going. I wonder if this due to the update or coincidentally the accelerometer gone faulty after the update.
Any help or hint to fix these will be appreciated.
Any help guys?
For me it works if you keep the vol button pressed for 1-2 sec
You are right buddy! It works if we hold it but not if press it once!!!

I don't have Froyo yet, but I read on another forum that if you press the power button when you receive the call, it will mute the sound. A new feature.
Does anyone know if volume to wake the display works in stock 4.2.2 or is it the same as before? Do any of the custom fw's wake from volume buttons? Anyone know how to wake the screen other than use the power button? It keeps going to sleep during a call (I use the speakerphone a lot) and the only way to end the call is to press the power button and then end call. Annoying!
Verizon Moto X (Android 4.4.2)
When I am on a call (incoming or outgoing) and the screen sleeps afrer the sleep timeout, how can I get the in-call controls like speakerphone, mute button, number pad back?! Moving the phonea around to trigger the proximity sensor doesn't work, clicking the power button ends the call. What am I missing? This is extremely frustrating when on a long conference call where I need to mute and unmute.
Help? Thanks

Settings > Accessibility > Uncheck "Power button ends call"
Frankly, I usually have my phone to sleep after 30 minutes because I always shut off the screen with the power button, so there's that option.
