I've just posted this on PPCGeeks, but just in case there some genius around here:
I was going to flash for the 2nd time my Imagio with the Energy Titanium Rom, so I inserted my sd card into my pc and copied the rom to the root, I ejected the usb properly from the sys tray without noticing that the file was not completely copied. I inserted the sd to my imagio and started the flashing process and then I realized the message in my pc that the file did not finish copying.
I have my phone in Update in Process at a 15% approx for 10 minutes, of course the nbh file is corrupted, the question is: What Can I do??
Please I'll appreciate any help.
SOLVED!
Extracted battery,
Copied correct nbh file and started flash process again.

For the past week or so, I cant install any cabs, everytime i di it says theres an error in the setup file. maybe a registry or something. any suggestions?
hello, i have had this problem before, but i recopied the cab files from my computer back on to the card again, oh delete the cab from the card first. worst case you can reformat your card, also try to copy a cab from computer to your device main memory and try to install.

hi
take your card out and formated with your computer as fat32 it might be correpted
try gain with SD card method if not
use hard SPL method
Use the computer in tow steps and keep your mobile linked while you do the hard SPL flash and uploading the ROM with RUUtility_Kovsky
1 - Downloads the hard rest program X1_HardSPL_v1from xda and unzip
2 - Download the flash utility RUUtility_Kovsky from xda and unzip
Installation, remove the SD card from your mobile it might be corrupted
To lode the ROM to your mobile in tow steps
1- Flash your mobile with X1_HardSPL_v1click the EXE file this will take less than 5 minutes watch your mobile screen and press yes to add a small ROM
2- Don’t remove your mobile USB
3- IMPORTANT you have to copy the new ROM .nbh inside the ROM utility folder called RUU_Kovsky, select ROMUpdateUtility.exe its located inside the folder RUU_Kovsky and pres the ROMUpdateUtility.exe , and start upload your ROM ,this will take less 10 minutes
Put back your formatted SD card
Thanx
thanx for your help bro. but i still am not able to properly understand your methods.

Thanx dude. M through now
hi , are you don , if so install this rom, the best
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509891
most probably:
1- you don't have HARD-SPL correctly flashed
OR
2- the ROM you are flashing is corrupted (bad download or bad decompression or bad copy to the microSD)
PS: with the stock SPL you can still flash STOCK ROMS
WHAT TO DO ??
1- remove the microSD card and insert it into a PC (with an adapter or reader)
2- delete the current kovsimg.nbh file
3- CHECK the microSD for errors (right click -> tools -> scan disk or check disk)
4- COPY A STOCK ROM to the microSD and rename to kovsimg.nbh
5- Insert the microSD back into the phone, go to bootloader and flash
6- ENJOY YOUR PHONE AGAIN
I am following these instructions to bring my phone back to stock, before I send it in for a replacement (Alt key isn't working):
1. get the original SPL for your phone, go to the SPL thread at the top
2. rename it to update.zip and flash it to your phone
3. download the DREAIMG.nbh from the thread where you rooted your phone
4. place DREAIMG.nbh on the root of your SD card and start phone in bootloader(camera+power)
5. hit power to start the update DO NOT INTERRUPT!! i can not stress this enough
6. hit action(trackball down) and your phone will reboot
7. YOU NOW HAVE STOCK FIRMWARE, it will update on it's own in a little bit
I downloaded G1OrigBootloader_nocheck.zip, copied it to my SD card, renamed it to "update.zip", turned the phone off, powered up holding HOME and POWER and then pressed ALT+W for wipe and then ALT+S to apply the update. So far, so good.
Then I deleted update.zip from the SD card and moved DREAIMG.nbh onto it. I powered off the phone, then pressed the camera button and power. It has the white screen with the blue text "Loading..." and then the screen briefly flashes with "No image file!" before going to the bootloader screen.
Help! I don't know what to do next. Many thanks!
ETA: Should I install the DREAIMG.nbh *before* installing the stock SPL?
ETA 2: I formatted my SD Card just for grins (I could swear I had done that before) and now it's working fine. So. For anyone else who gets the No Image File error, try formatting your SD Card and then transferring files. Also, I re-downloaded the DREAIMG.nbh file so it might've even been that which fixed it. At any rate, I no longer need assistance and I don't know how to delete a post. I'm assuming you can't.
In case anyone else comes across this thread while having this problem...
I had the same problem with my Rhodium. The problem disappeared when I switched from formatting that particular SD card with FAT to FAT32.
So, try FAT32 and see if that helps!

Yup^ android cant read fat partitions.
Also why do you want to unroot?
I was helping a friend unroot for a warranty return and I encountered this problem. While I realized that it was a simple, and some what dumb typograpghical error in my case. Have you checked, and I mean really checked the filename? I realized that I had a space in between the "G" and the "." (DREAIMG .nbh, rather than DREAIMG.nbh) I have the RC29 and RC30 .nbh images backed up on my home computer for just such purposes and I have them labeled accordingly (example: DREAIMG RC29.nbh). So when I went use it, I copied the file, edited the name, and forgot to take the space out. It therefore displayed no image for me as well. Just something simple to check.
hello i am having problems with flashing a custom ROM. I've formatted a micro sd its 2GB. Then I added the ROM file, renamed it to kovsimg.nbh and started the phone as stated (by pressing the vol down button). Then the tri colour screen pops up then a quick screen comes which says no image path I have also... installed the hard spl thingy. Where am I going wrong? Please help !!!all want is reinsstal my xperia x-1 a new windows 6.1 how i can do this plz help my phone is give me this alert SİMCARD NOT İNSERTED'' Plz help me
Do you have press and hold the vol down and the power until the screen show"loading"???
i did bur it says no image ...what i can do?
Says no image??I don't have this problem...so I can't help you,sorry...
Hello you're not alone in the dark
My Xperia do it in the same way. So i hope we will get an answer.
Additional i have problems to use the Internet yet. After receiving a config SMS the applications which are using internetdata didn't get some. The connecting to provider or wifi seem OK but no data for the application.
Provided the card is read, make sure you formatted your card properly with FAT32 and placed renamed ROM file into the ROOT.
It's possible to read the card (after booting the phone). The card is Fat32 fomatted and the imagename is set. But it's not only the problem to flash using the CD-card. Also trying by using the sync-methode will fail. I get the splashscreen with the bar showing the percentage. In the state of 0% i get an error message. No recovery is needed, but i never get the phone flashed.
My problems is exackly the same
If it doesn't work use the USB method, it always works.
Hi VingZTV,
You're wrong please read my post #7 in this thread.
I called it sync method, cause you are using active sync.

I encountered this problem too. My present X1 (3rd already) refused to hardSPL or do anything with both PC (stucked at 0%, connection errors etc) and SD method ("no image file" later stuck at "loading"). Previous ones worked with either SD or PC method
This time I tried different cables and PCs and couldn't hardSPL
nor was the SD card method working, tried different cards and formatted one to fat32 before putting image file
it seems the problem might be on X1's where SPL is stock 0.78 ?
Anyways for me it worked finally when I tried hardSPL with RUU to 0.52olinex ("X1_HardSPL.exe" file) on a different PC and cable with a formatted card inserted where 0.78olinex was renamed to kovsimg.nbh (so ready to flash hardSPL with SD method which didn't work befere). The phone was set to bootloader by the program and then started flashing the image on the SD! (the program reported error as usual)
phone flashed it once, restarted, did it again and was ready!
Then I had no problem to flash a ROM with SD method normally
So I don't know what could be the reason it worked or it was a coincidence maybe try to:
WARNING: AS ALWAYS YOU DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK!
- insert a freshly formatted card with hardSPL file (0.78olinex perhaps) renamed to kovsimg.nbh
- sync with PC and try to hardspl PC way like above and maybe the phone will finally flash the SPL from the SD
- let us know if it worked
It still doesn't work
I used 128m microSD and formated to FAT32, only copy 0.78RUU_Signed.nbh to SD card, renamed to kovsimg.nbh. After I used VOL- and power bottom. It only showed me loading.....
I also tried 0.72, looks same. DID I do some thing wrong?
Thank you very for any response!

Hopefully there is hope for me. I've recently discovered the wonderful world of rooting and rooted my nook successfully. After root I loaded ROM Manager and started the process of backing up with the clockworkmod. (I'm very new to rooting so I'm not sure exactly where I went wrong). Somewhere in the process I got stuck in a menu loop in clockwork. I trolled the forums and attempted several things including CRW removal and Nook complete restore. I'm not sure I attempted them correctly as I was still in the CRW menu screen. Now, my nook will not even turn on plugged in or otherwise. Any help (and please make it detailed step by step) would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep my eye close to this thread throughout the evening. Thank you in advance for helping out a new rooter. can't really help other then say that your nook is fine... just keep looking at all the 'bricking' threads in this forum. there are plenty to choose from.
Try this.

I had the same issue and this worked for me. next time you flash CWR be sure you do a normal reboot B4 doing a reboot to recovery. just flash this...
CWR-removal-rootsafe I cant attach the URL but google it and it will come up in the second choice. let me know...
Thanks jarussillo. I found the file you refereed to and have it on my computer. Please give me a step by step on how to flash it without being able to see anything on my screen. I don't have any backup, all I have is a formatted sd card. Do I put the unzipped file on the card, or do I unzip the files and drop those on the card? Thanks for being willing to help.

You will need to burn a CWR SD card, then drop the zip file into the root of the sd card, then Boot off the SD card, (You might have to hold the power button down for 20secs before you will see it boot) then Flash the Zip file from CWR.
Also read this thread. FULLY read it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=949699
just flash the the CWR to your sd card you can search it on the site.
AWESOME! That article looks like exactly what I needed. I knew it was out there somewhere, I just couldn't find it. THANKS!!!! I'll update (hopefully with success) when I'm done.
Well, no success tonight. I downloaded all the stuff mentioned in the previous article, but the rootpack & the clockwork don't download in a zipped folder (like I even observed in a youtube video). They download as a GZ file. I'm not sure what to do with that because I can't decompress it and send it into the disk imager. What am I missing here? I'll check back in the am, thanks.

this can decompress pretty much anything, Plus its free and open source
If I remember right that gz file needs to be unpacked so you can get the img file and then write the img with windisk32 to the SD that has cwr on it. But I may be mistaken pretty new to this stuff to

What operating system are you using?
Be aware that in the rooting/CWM/ROM world you basically have ROMs and installable zips, you need to be aware of how to handle each.
If windows, you should be using winRAR to unzip image files for flashing to microSD. If the compressed file contains files and folders its most likely an installabe zip thats to be copied to a microSD AS IS and installed using clockwork recovery. If the compressed fiile has an .img file in it, its a ROM and must be burned to a microSD (effectively erasing said microSD) and then inserted into the nook while its off.
For ROMs as described above, uncompress the .img files to your hdd and then use win32disk imager to burn the .img to the microSD using a usb adapter.

pretty much burn CWR onto a uSD card then put a rom onto the uSD card in the .zip format.
put in the uSD card, plug into PC, hold the on button for a while then you'll hear the PC do the "usb device connected" noise, keep holding that power button until it powers on
most problems can be solved by writing any recent CWR onto a uSD card, the great news is that the nook color's boot priority is straight to the uSD which means any problem on the emmc isn't too big as it'll boot to uSD first
good morning all. I'm gonna get this figured out today, I feel it! Muzzy, I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
Ok, here's where I'm at. I see the endroad (meaning I understand the steps needed for recovery) and have all the tools I need except for a proper CWR file, which seems to be the most important part. The file I downloaded from http://legacyschool.us.to/nookdev/clockwork/0.7/ (took me about half an hour) does not give me a folder with extractable files as seen in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B31y_lyHIA (jump to 45 secs.). Instead it gives me a single gz file that is not compressed. It's not runnable through win 32 diskimager. Putting that file on an sd card and trying to boot my nook with it has no effect.
Edit: Ok, WinZip to the rescue. I was able to extract the file with WinZip and have it cooking in the disk imager now! WOOHOO!
Edit 2: All seems to be installing correctly, fingers crossed...
Getting closer, I had to use the repartition. Now it turns back on and I get the big "n". It's ocupying my entire day, but I'm actually enjoying this. I've learned a lot! Flahing Nookcolor 1.1 now. Hopefully that will finish me off.
She's BACK! Thanks for all the help. I never would have found the right info without people taking the time to point in the right direction. You guys are great!
