Hi, i'm looking for a phone calling timer that vibrate (or play a tone) every 15 seconds or some amount of time.
Thanks in advance
...er.... you've already got one... options/call settings/vibrate every 45 seconds.
Thank you but can't find it
Is that option present on g1?
It is on mine.. maybe it's just in custom builds, I can't remember tbh, so long since I used stock.

Hello, I've recently set up ActiveSync for 15 minute intervals during peak time. I set "Vibrate" for New E-Mail Messages. Usually it vibrates for a few short bursts, but at least once per day the vibration motor freezes up and won't stop vibrating until I press the power button. The only other recent change to my settings was that I installed Bandswitch to keep connected to the Edge network and disconnect after 120 seconds. I don't know if this change is related to the vibration problem. Anybody have any suggestions?
if you have Magic Fingers installed, you might try uninstalling it
thanks for the advice, but I don't have Magic Fingers installed
hey. weird cause i used to have the same issue before, my phone whenever it received an email it would not stop vibrating until i removed the battery. lol weird i know. r u using the stock rom? ever since i changed rom's from stock i havent had that problem before.
try flashing ur rom to an upgraded att or htc rom, maybe it would solve ur issue as it did to me
best of luck
I have the exact same issue with incoming emails. For now I have turned off notification. Configuration is pretty generic.
This happened to me...
This happened to me once with the stock ROM. I have since upgraded to the leaked AT&T Tilt ROM and it hasn't happened since.
Any Hints?

I also have this problem, but its not with every e-mail. I receive between 10 and 20 e-mails a day and the continuous motor only happens about once every other day. I'm also on the stock ATT ROM. Anyone figure out what's going on with this?

I'm glad I'm not the only one.
this issue is a bummer
oh yeah this is becoming a real pita
Me too...
Using Blackberry connect on stock ROM on Tilt, new messages occassionally cause a constant vibration until I hit the power button.
Would love to know how to stop this,
ncdave
In my experience I have found that this is caused by the device being forced to do something, i.e. check email, recieve email, before the device is fully "awake". The solution for me was acheived through the use of kaiser tweak. This also means there's a registry mod. for it as well, unfortunately I left my Kaiser at home today. If ylou change the device wake up to something more acceptable such as 15 seconds or 30 seconds instead of the 1 second default you may find this fixes your problem as it has for me!
If you did that, wouldn't you stand the chance of missing most of your phone calls while the phone is sleeping?
I'm getting really irritated at the clock doing that crazy catch-up thing when the Diamond has been in standby for a while. I hate having to wait for the clock to flick to the right time, especially when I need a quick time check...
Does everyone get this or is it ROM specific? Is there a fix?
I use Swift's v.7 rom.
Duttys ROM
You're saying Dutty's ROM fixes this?
Oh come on fellas! This must annoy you too...
i haven't had it on Dutty's ROM, though i had it on Panosha

hmm
can u tell us how long it takes on ur rom ?
on my it takes aprox. 0,5 s
on Stock ROM takes 1-2sec
butt i noticed on stock rom...when i added call history tab...it took woow...30 sec or so...so i dont use call history tab in manila
It takes around 15-20 seconds...
I don't have a call history tab though.
My Diamond has started doing something similar the past 2 days. When I push the power button to bring up the screen, the clock says the last time the screen was up, then switches to current time. A bit strange. I'm using the stock Spring ROM. Any ideas?
I've had it on most roms. Its bloody anoying! And it comes and goes.
Mine takes easily little than half a second.
I saw something wired with clock, after midnight, lets say
00:40 , it start jump 1 by 1 till it arrive to 40, somehting
like 30-40 jumps (about 20 sec, every jump ~ 0.5 sec)
did u notice to this problem/effect ?
@arix, yep mine has done that before after midnight, I thought I was just really drunk the first time it happened lol.
Haven't had the problem for some time though.

Dunno what he is saying, but I can say Dutty's Roms does not fix it. At least not for me. I had to wait about 15/20 seconds when I woke my phone this morning, for the time to scroll forward about 50 minutes. Very nice to look at but a pain in the backside if all you want to do is check the time. Worst I'd ever seen it. Usually it takes only second or two.

Well, as usual after midnight i m drunk, but I didn't know the Diamnond drunk too
Well these are more of work-around solutions:
1. I use S2U2 and then when you wake up your diamond after sleep you get the S2U2 unlock screen first. It has a clock. So, I always get the right time immediatly.
2. There are a lot of different clocks to install in the theme section too, I bet not all of those have the same problem, especially not the analogue ones.
3. Just an idea, but what happens if you minimize the clock (eg. swipe up) during this behavior?
Hope this helps
Hi,
I have tried many custom roms. But whenever I click on the phone book or use the call log, it takes atleast 15 secs to load it. I use google sync to sync all my phone no.s to google. This causes a lot of frustration, when basic phone functionality takes lot of time.
Also at times, after I click on the call button, it takes 10 secs to display that it is calling the person. Also it takes 10 secs to hang up, when I press the end button.
Is there anything I need to do to boost this? The only ROM I have seen it works better is OMEGA rom.

You could try setting min clock speed to 245Mhz, and max to 787~806Mhz.
And which ROM are you using? Gingerbread or ICS? Stock or CM?
Max-806
Min-245
Governor-smartassv2
I/O - cfq
It's my personal configuration.... Experiencing no lags...
I m on cm7
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
How good is the battery with that setting and with cm7
Okay. So if there's one thing I miss from Sense ROMs, it's Auto-Sleep. That was SO convenient. I have this new habit of just sitting my phone down since I use it a lot for looking at notes. I like how Auto-Sleep puts the phone to sleep in 15 seconds if it's laid down, but keeps the phone on while it's vertical. I think it changes the timeout to 1 minute. Nonetheless, it's a pretty nifty feature.
I was wondering if there's an app that can emulate this. Or maybe some Xposed MOD or something. LoL!! I was just using my phone for looking at notes and set my phone down. I forgot I had the timeout for 5 minutes and forgot to change it back to 1 minute. So my phone screen was just on while I had it laying there. LoL!!
I don't mind keeping my phone on for 1 minute, but 15 seconds would be better. LoL!!
EDIT: LoL!! I said "non-sense" as in "That stuff is nonsense!!" =.P
Hello,
I'm currently taking driving lessons and one of the most basic thing a driver should do is look in the rearview mirrors at least once every 5-7 seconds. That's the recommended time interval in my country. However, I keep forgetting to do this and I need a constant reminder, at least until I form a habit.
I want to use Tasker to set up an alert / notification to go out every 10 seconds on my Android smartphone. This will then be caught by my Amazfit Bip on my left wrist, which will vibrate when the notification is issued. This way I'll have a constant reminder during driving lessons to check the mirrors.
I tried to set up Tasker, but it only lets me create an event every two minutes. Is there any way to lower this threshold to 10 seconds? Or maybe another app which can achieve this?
Cheers.

Instead of using an a time context, create a loop with a 10 second wait in a task. Make sure you have a way to turn this off. Possibly set a variable and launch a notification at the start of the task. In the notification, use an action button to clear the variable. Loop only if the variable is set.
