I know I've seen this mentioned before on 4.2.8 or so, but I'm getting all the acore issues on 4.2.12.2. I am aware I'll have to wipe everything and start fresh and that's ok (yay MyBackupPro) but do I have to do the 1.6HTC thing, and then flash 4.2.12.2?
thanks for any help!

If you are just wiping you should be ok, you have to do the HTC recovery if you are doing a fresh install.
With a wipe, it should be fine.

Yay for putting the same old problem right back on your phone!
Lesson number one: If you have problems with your current set-up it only makes sense to not restore to it again.
Good luck.
Keep in mind fc's are mostly a 3rd party app issue, NOT a stable rom build.
Can anyone help me?
First of all, I'm still on CM6.1 RC1 but I think my problem is related to RC2.
My problem is that for some reason, when I'm on a call and I DON'T have the speaker turned on, the audio STILL comes out the back speaker no matter what...so I either have to turn my phone around and put it to my ear, or just actually turn the speaker on so I can hear loud enough what they're saying.
A little background: This started happening after I got curious and flashed RC2 (i made nandroid backup prior to that, of course). But after around 20 minutes of playing with the new rom, I decided to restore to the previous version. That's when it started. I have reflashed my backup to see if that solved it but no luck.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
When you reverted to your backup, did you wipe everything?

Thanks for answering.
Honestly, I only wiped cache and dalvik the first time. But after I noticed the problem and reflashed my backup a second time, yes, that's when I wiped everything even factory reset but the problem is still there.
Well, that's all I got, sorry. Just thought I'd check because usually it's something simple like that. You might want to try using a completely different ROM, like MIUI and see if it's fine then, and then switch back to CM and see if the problem still persists. You may also try re-flashing the radio as well.

I tried all those things but the sound is still coming out from the back speaker when In call.
Any other suggestions anyone?
Anyone have another suggestion?
I'd really appreciate it.
Hi guys,
The title might not be the best but I do not know how to explain it better in few words.
The problem is the following: I was using CM 10.1.3 without any problem and I wanted to update to CM 10.2. So I deleted data, dalwik and cache. I flashed CM 10.2 two or three times and then I flashed the corresponding gapps. I booted to the main screen and waited if my applications will download automatically (as they did when I was upgrading from CM 9 to 10). It have been two days already and still nothing eventhough on the Google Play it says that I have the affected application installed.
Any idea, trick or hint please?
Thank you,
N.
But you use the Gapps to CM 10.2 and not for CM 10.2 ,right???

I tried signing off Google account completely yesterday and then I singed in. After few hours I tried doing it again (signing off and in). But no luck until now.
I tried deleting the data and nothing new happened.
Just to let you know one thing (if it makes any difference). I tried to install a new application from Google Store (which I have never had installed on my device and my account) remotely (from within web pages). It starts to download on my phone immediately. Secondly - which is weird - I am able to download applications which were not available previously for my country.
hmmm strange you can download apps from other countries... maybe try a factory reset and see what happens? not sure what else you could do?
I had the same issue, just had to reboot
I think that you have tested with a reboot like willian7 ,right??? It is really strange, of course you can download apps from other countrys ...

Thanks for the path. However I tried searching for different options and I tried to play with it a bit but nothing. Really strange....
Is there a way how to completely delete the device and flash from scratch so that all the temporary and rom version specific files are deleted? Something like when you would reinstall a PC OS.
Sorry that it doens`t help ...
One idea could be starting from 2.3.5/2.3.6 via odin and then go to CM 10.2 ....like you say as an "new begin" hope it would help ...

By the way, I can see in your signature that you are running CM11. Can it be used on a "production" device? I mean I would need it to work (at least phone, SMS, email, internet) without any problems? The reason why I am asking is that it might be easier to try to upgrade than to downgrade and reinstall. Maybe it is even safer. Or is it trouble free to downgrade?
Thanks again and yes, I will hit the buttons
CM11 is actually in Alpha (=UNOFFICIAL) Status, but for me it works stable...but as I said for me it is only my opinion ...a list of the know bugs can you find here:

Hey All,
Finally got my nexus 6 and I'm pumped to have a developer phone again. Haven't done anything since I got rid of my galaxy nexus a year or so ago, so I'm a bit rusty. Sorry if this has been posted before, I searched but couldn't find anything related to this. Long story short, I had my phone unlocked and rooted and have TWRP installed fine. I just went in and cleared the cache, dalvik cache, and fixed permissions... and now I'm stuck in a bootloop. After researching I'm pretty sure it was the fixed permissions that messed it up, I didn't know that it didn't work on lollipop at the time. I've come to the conclusion I need to reflash the stock images and start from scratch. The only problem is I'm currently stuck at work for another 4 hours and can't use adb at all on this computer. So I'm wondering if anyone knew of another way to fix from just the phone. Thanks in advanced guys!

Unfortunately, I do not have any ROMs saved on my phone yet. I just got it last night with only maybe an hour or two of playing time. I also tried factory reset through TWRP and am still experiencing the bootloop. Would formatting data help? I feel like it would, but like I said, I'm rusty.

I know, but I can't boot my phone to download it. Hence, why I'm going to have to flash the stock images when I get home. How is rastapop? I need to find something since the big names aren't out yet. I'll try it out later once everything is fixed. I'm mad I ran into this boot loop because custom rom was next on my list of things to do haha

Yah I realized fixing permissions messes it up. And also if u wipe internal storage the phone looses the system ui and the back home menu buttons as well
well thats good to know. Will it still do that if I'm not encrypted?

Probably too late to do, but USB-OTG cable and a jump drive. I have downloaded stuff on work PC, copied to jump drive and flashed it on phone with TWRP from the jump drive.
I can personally confirm the permission fix in TWRP recovery breaks the stock L5.0.0 and 5.0.1 and I assume probably most ROMs? There seems to be several threads about this.

maybe try just flashing the system img, then wipe cache's again before booting. if that doesnt work, its may be time for the dreaded fdr.
I've never been into flashing system img & fdr? It's just sad because I had the same issue before also losing signal with my device. Til I got a replacement and the replacement device is starting to act up also.

my only other suggestion would be to re-flash. you could try just the system partition, but if it were me i would just go all in for full clean flash.
im sure Simms will get on me for saying so, but you can just grab wugs toolkit and be done in 20min or so.

Is it rooted with mods or completely stock? If stock, try deleting the saved wireless networks..

these random issues usually come from a corrupt file, either by an update or some other means. its hard to impossible to pinpoint the cause usually.
if you never flashed before, its best to read up on it a bit first. wugs walks you through the steps, from downloading the files, and drivers, to the flashing. its not foolproof, but if you follow the lead of the script, its not hard to figure out.

well i have before but that was so long ago and that was for my MyTouch and HTC Sensation but that was years ago. Now I know things are easier but I've never really been into flashing and the only reason I did back then was for updates and different version of Sense UI but since I've been using Nexus Devices I didn't have a need or desire to actually flash. Pretty much I'm a NOOB!
but I don't see why wouldn't a factory reset fix it. even if it was temp.

clearing the cache is always a good idea, i think i suggested that earlier.
i dont know how to explain well what cache is exactly, its not part of the file system, its more like temp data storage i believe.
