Can anyone help me?
First of all, I'm still on CM6.1 RC1 but I think my problem is related to RC2.
My problem is that for some reason, when I'm on a call and I DON'T have the speaker turned on, the audio STILL comes out the back speaker no matter what...so I either have to turn my phone around and put it to my ear, or just actually turn the speaker on so I can hear loud enough what they're saying.
A little background: This started happening after I got curious and flashed RC2 (i made nandroid backup prior to that, of course). But after around 20 minutes of playing with the new rom, I decided to restore to the previous version. That's when it started. I have reflashed my backup to see if that solved it but no luck.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
When you reverted to your backup, did you wipe everything?

Thanks for answering.
Honestly, I only wiped cache and dalvik the first time. But after I noticed the problem and reflashed my backup a second time, yes, that's when I wiped everything even factory reset but the problem is still there.
Well, that's all I got, sorry. Just thought I'd check because usually it's something simple like that. You might want to try using a completely different ROM, like MIUI and see if it's fine then, and then switch back to CM and see if the problem still persists. You may also try re-flashing the radio as well.

No luck again.
I tried all those things but the sound is still coming out from the back speaker when In call.
Any other suggestions anyone?
Anyone have another suggestion?
I'd really appreciate it.

So, I'm now using the 3.9.2 build, but even in previous releases for some stupid reason when I have my headphones plugged in (Using the HTC cable), I get a txt message when it's plugged in and all sound fails. I have to reboot the device to make it work again. I've formatted SDcard and done a factory reset. Not sure why this is happening. Maybe someone else is experiencing this?
Any audio mods?

You could temporarily load a "stock like" rooted ROM like mine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538456
The TMO CRC1 ... if you don't have the problem at all, then you could post this as a fairly solid bug report in cyanogen's thread of 3.9.2. Keep in mind he does warn that it's experimental.
You could also try reverting back to cyanogenMod v3.6.8 series.
You could have a hardware issue, doesn't sound like it, but maybe.
Hope this helps.
I did install the Audiohack, which was complete garbage. I'm thinking this has something to do with it, but like I said, I've already factory reset, format sdcard. I didn't revert back to an older version, but it started when I was using an early stable version of Cyanogen
so yesterday my email was working just fine, i decided to flash on the desire rom just for fun. i flashed back to cyanogenmod rom and restored and now my email isn't being pushed anymore. i have to go into the box and refresh it to see my latest emails
i don't know what happened, but it's not being pushed anymore now
anyone have any idea on what i can do?
Did you make sure you have auto-sync data on? I made that mistake once.

My suggestion would be to wipe data, possible flash back to stock, or just wipe data and play around with some different radio's. I've had similar issues, not as bad as yours, but different radio seemed to fix it.
I'm in in canada, east, on telus. I'm using the fascinate with galaxy i9000 rom/kernel/radio. I find the best radio's to be the KG2, KG3, and KC3.
Have you used any apps to disable permissions? like autostarts, one time I had an issue where my phone wouldn't dial any calls in my own area code. I found out it was autostarts, and a permission I had enabled.
-Maniac
Think that permissions are enabled, as far as I can see.
Problem is that I'm noob on this area, I got this phone with darky on it.
When you say to wipe data, on which data do you mean and how to do that?
how to flash? Where can I find stock rom and some tutorial?
thank you

I would start with testing some different modems. This is pretty simple, and might just fix your problem.
When I say wipe, I mean a factory reset. I'm not familier with that rom, but in the settings their should be something to do a factory reset.
A sure way would be to boot clockworkmod, select the option to do a wipe/factory reset.
Note, both of the above methods will wipe your apps/data. Perhaps your SDcard as well. So if anything is important, I would do a backup.
Perhaps you should do a nandroid backup anyways, just incase it don't fix your problem and you won't waste any more time have to reinstall everything and set it all up again.
Hi
Well after making the jump from iOS I've been loving my HTC one and this forum. However I've hit a bit of a snag and I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me out. I've had a search around on the forums and couldn't find any answers so I thought I would post here.
I have an unbranded Australian HTC one. I have s-off, Super CID, unlocked the bootloader, rooted, flashed the 2.24.401.1 firmware and got twrp installed.
I was using the ARHD12.1 ROM, when I noticed that after work a day or two ago I wasn't able to get any sound back after keeping the phone on vibrate despite having the volume indicator on full. The battery was pretty low.
I could send and receive SMS,access the internet, make calls and see that they are connected but I would get
No dial tone,
Was unable to hear the person on the other end of the phone line and they could not hear me.
Can't play music
YouTube won't play videos at all.
Phone freezes when trying to play ring tones
No sound through headphones
I have tried (to no avail):
Using a previous nandoid.
Flashed multiple different ROMS (ARHD GE 3, SinlessROM GE 4.3, Bigxie Ge as well as the ARHD 12.1 again).
Reflashing the firmware, reinstalling twrp and reflashing the ROMs.
Deleting any new apps in the last couple of days to see if they have had any part
The soundabout app to force sound through speakers.
Not signing into gmail mail account after flashing a ROMto stop any new apps being downloaded.
Sound wasn't coming back after flashing a ROM initially (lasted try is Bigxie's GE4.3 Rom), but now it seems to work only if the battery is over 50%. Sound then disappear after the phone is rebooted. Flashing a rom with battery under 50% seems to have no sound either.
Its as if the phone is being muted somehow.
So I'm just wondering has anyone got any ideas?
Are there any other (audio) system files I some how able to reinstall?
Or should I revert it to stock and try for a replacement?
Thanks for any help.
Very strange!
Are you running tasker or llama? (If you don't know what they are then the answer is probably no ).
Did you do a full wipe when flashing the roms?

Yep running tasker. But I've been running it since I first got the phone with no issues. The same thing happens when I've haven't got tasker installed though.
I've tried factory wipes, format data and I think i;ve tried advanced wipe as well inbetween ROM reinstalls.
Its a mystery to me

I've got no idea then to be honest. It might be a hardware issue. Hopefully someone else will be able to help!

Running Beanstalk.
Have been having intermittent issues with mobile data, so I'm sadly familiar with toggling Airplane mode, changing the CMDA subscription, rebooting, etc. in order to jog mobile data into working again. Lately have been having a weird, sporadic problem with people I call only hearing static on my end, so I chatted with Sprint, got to the point where they suggest typing the code to reset/update PRLs into the dialer, and bailed.
Then, in my infinite wisdom decided to try flashing a Sense ROM, proceeding with the manual PRL update/reset, and then wiping and restoring my Beanstalk nandroid.
Now I can't make or receive calls or texts at all, no matter what I do. Have tried all the old toggles. Have tried a complete reflash of Beanstalk. I'm beginning to worry I seriously borked something up.
Is anyone familiar with this kind of situation? Did I screw up, and if so, how bad? Any solutions anyone can think of? I'd be most grateful for any and all help. Thanks guys.
Reinstalling ROM from scratch and if that doesn't work then running ARU.

Okay here is what you can do, there is an app floating around these forums that can allow you to manually write the prl, find that, and then use a stock prl for sprint. I believe this post will help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296167
Let me know if that helps.
Oh and also yeah flashing a different rom wouldnt help because they do not contain any of that information, in fact i think all the carrier information is stored in a different partition for this exact reason -so they cant be easily overwritten.
I build the Beanstalk here and haven't come across that issue yet. Do you have a backup of your original stock ROM? You need to get back to straight stock, like out of the box stock. From there, you can update your prls or anything else OTA-style, check your functionality, then redownload the Beanstalk ROM from here, do a full wipe(no internal data), install the fresh DL, Gapps, fix permissions(PhilzTouch 6.0.3.3 only), and reboot. Should be good to go and should only need to toggle airplane for reboots and occasionally for the wifi. Let me know how it goes, either here, on the BS thread or by PM. Good luck....
If you have no original back up(after getting back to straight stock, MAKE ONE), then use Bigdaddy619s threads on getting back to stock. After that, then follow the steps above.
You should always make an original back up of stock directly after rooting and unlocking. ALWAYS

Thanks, both of you.
BMP - Beanstalk rules - it's definitely my fault. If I have a back-up made just after getting S-OFF, would that work?
matinm90 - thanks for the info...that explains exactly what the problem I'm having is.
I'll try these solutions out and post back. Thanks again guys.
Yes, it should as long as everything worked then. Driving right now. Try it and let me know. When I get home I'll help however I can.

Your welcome and yeah it should defintely work, just make sure you use the right prl
Worked!
I think what I'd originally goofed was not immediately rebooting after the prl update, since the Sprint lady didn't mention that step (or maybe I didn't hear her). This time I immediately rebooted and data came back, and then I was able to flash BeanStalk and stay functional.
Many thanks to both of you!
