o2 gprs and mms after imate rom 1.40 help!

hey there guys, just need to ask if anyone knows how to get the gprs settings correct and the mms settings right after upgrading to imate 1.40 . im on o2 and i managed to get gprs working but slow, and mms wont work at all.
also is there an o2 active cab file i can get hold of, cos i like o2active interface. and i can get the settings with that if it mucks up.....

its ok now, i sorted it............. cheers anyway!!! 8)

Kasier On US T-mobile

Hi, I am new to this forum.
I have a question, I just got my Kasier a weeks ago.... before I have a T-Mobile Wing
I try to set up my phone to use the T-Zone
I can get it work, but I cannot get the IM thing working though the T-Zone.
I do install the Agile Messenger & IM+ both of them only can use it on the wifi when i at home...... any way i can use those program when i use t-zone?
I only pay 5 dollars per month......for the T-zone.
ANy info or suggestion will be help.....

As far as I know, T-zones only allows you to use certain ports. Now the IM client might be using other ports that are blocked. For more information on what ports are enabled or not, go here: http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/T-Mobile_Data

If you want to use AIM, in IM+ change the AIM port to 110. Then IM+ should work over T-Zones.

How can I change the port in the IM+, please give me a bit more details

i just got my phone monday as well, but i cant go on the internet or aim using tmobile.
how do i change the modem settings to US tmobile??
its set on cingular, but its unlocked.

MMS setup with Rogers/TyTN II

I have a baked Dutty Tytn II using on Rogers Wireless here in Toronto.
a) I have the Rogers Vision plan, so am enabled with all the high tech trans fats including MMS.
BUT I have scoured the virtual earth and beyond on setup info for MMS/Rogers and still can not get it working.... anyone?
b) I also have a sim card with TWO phone numbers, but can only ever dial out from the primary number because there is no option on the phone to switch numbers. However Rogers phones have this option built into their ROM... any suggestions?

Update: Streaming Video and Music no longer works OTA with this CAB installed (was working before install)... MMS works though... tradeoff?

instant messenger with just gprs

is there any programs for instant messenger that only uses gprs (edge) and mms? im with t-mobile and tried the oz cab from the wing(herald) but doesnt work.. any help would be great! thanks in advance

I use palringo, and love it

thats wifi or 3g it doesn't work on gprs

Not true, I have used palringo and only had a gprs connection...

i have palringo and cant get it to connect before when t-mobile weren't that strict it was easy to do anything over gprs with the 5.99 addon now its alot harder..

Thats what I use, the only thing that bugs me is you cant have more then one chat window open at a time. It would work a lot better if it used a tab system.

Your problem involves your restrictions as far as your plan goes. You can try the proxy work around.

is there anyway you can give me the link that helps me get around that?

Eris based ROMs on Hero?

I'm having problems with MMS on my hero, and I read in another thread that MMS will only work on the hero with an Eris-based ROM. I've been researching Eris based ROMs and wanted to know if they can be used on the hero? Particularly Evil Eris. Any suggestions on this?

I'm pretty sure it has to be ported over. I don't think it will just flash onto the hero

What problems with MMS are you having? The only trouble I have had with any ROM (and even stock 2.1) is that you can only get the actual pictures over EvDO/3G/whatever Sprint's data network is called, and not wifi.

Nevermind, I finally got MMS to work! I'm on Cricket, and was having problems with sending & receiving pic messages. I fixed it by flashing DC v1.0 rom & then flashing Token419 cricket v10.zip file. Now I can send & receive pics. Everything on my Hero is working now. Big Thanks to Token for all of his hard work, & everybody else who took the time to answer my questions & point me in the right direction.
