not they are not. US T-mobile (TMOUS) HD2 is slightly longer by 1.5-2mm i believe.
Gel cases for the international hd2 should fit the tmous HD2 fine imo.

Has anyone been able to confirm whether the US and Europe sizing of the HD2 is the same or different? I've read in one thread that one person thinks it is about 1.5mm taller?
I'm looking to buy a metal case (ie. PDair) for the T-mobile HD2 and want to check to see if it will infact fit if I purchased any ol'HD2 case... or does it have to be sized for the T-mobile?

I have a T-Mobile USA HD2 on order, which should be arriving in a couple of days.
I like Krusell cases, and the various kinds of clips and holders one could use with them. I use the leather belt holder, and the bicycle and car holders.
I see a Krusell case for the HTC HD2:

However, I believe I have read in a post here or somewhere, that a case for the (European) HD2, won't fit the T-Mobile USA HD2.
As this one just is listed for HTC HD2, and Krusell is a European company (Sweden), I assume it is for the original model.
Are the dimensions of the two phones different--original model, and T-Mo USA? Is there anything different about placement of ports, buttons, etc.?
If not, and the only difference is in the 3G bands, I don't see how a case for one wouldn't work on the other.
Could anyone clarify?

Of course that was a pre-release Tmo model in the Pocketnow article. I assume that the final one probably had the same dimensions.
Anyone tried that Krusell case?
With width and depth identical, where could that type of case go wrong, with extra length? Perhaps the flip cover wouldn't close properly?
It just depends on how the case is constructed and how it holds the phone and all that. Like with the OtterBox cases they can crack if you have the wrong version. So if any part of the case you're curious about is hard plastic or something there is a chance it could break if not fitted correctly. I have no clue though, that's all assumption.
Anyone know of a high quality white case for HD2? I'd like to get an otter but I'm sick of black =/ Maybe red if no white? Thanks!

Already have rubber cases =/ hate em. I just switched from the iPhone 4 and I've feel I've been spoiled when it comes to accessories lol

Yeah, I'm jealous of all the accessories the iPhone has.
The best case that I use for the HD2 is the Body Glove Kickstand Case.. I found that it isn't too ugly and it's easy to put on. Some people complain that it scratches their phone, but just be careful and you should be fine.

Look at size comparison of the two phones. I ordered the Seidio case below and it fits perfect.
The Sprint store has the horizontal leather case with magnetic closure, that fits too.

If you order this holster make sure it reads Spring-Clip Holster for use with non-cased device.
Got mine today... Love it.

The T8585 is the US version. The T9193 is the Australian version.

No, the T8585 is the European version. The US TMO version is simply called the "US T-Mobile HD2". It never got a number.

bought few cases already but seems my HD2 (T-Mobile) is a bit bigger than Asian or Int'l HD2, all cases I bought wont fit perfectly.
any hints where can I find a good case, btw I am in Manila, Philippines,

Go to this thread and check out my post #12. This is the only case I have seen for the TMOUS that is a hard case.

Try the otterbox defender; it has a hard shell covered by a non slip cover. I really like it.
I am looking into buying an Otterbox defender for my HD2, but I don't want to use online site, like ebay and amazon. I am looking into buying it from local store. Unfortunately, local stores don't carry this case anymore. I searched and found that the HTC Inspire 4G has similar spec as the HD2. So my question is will the case for the HTC Inspire 4G fit the HTC HD2.

No it will not fit because due to similar size, the difference is between buttons, loudspeaker, camera and LED-flash.
Otterboxes are accurately fit in detail. You have to order accordant defender case.
I got the seidio convert instead better than the defender and cheaper and fits like glove.
Which version of the Seidio Convert did you buy? I just checked their website, and there doesn't appear to be a version for the HTC HD2. Did they stop making that version, or are you using a version for another phone?
The speakerphone and the camera led are switched around so you wont be able to get a good picture with the case on. On the Inspire the led light is on the left and on the HD2 the led light is on the right. You need something with a full open back unless you plan to make the opening larger yourself.
