Still running the 1.5 on my Eris..Have not had a sucessful sync with the google calendar in over a month. All my entries are in Google Calendar, but they will not sync with my device. I emptied out the data in the application settings ..still NADA. Short of doing a hard reset has anybody had this issue and resolved it . Thanks
Don't bother with a hard reset. It doesn't fix it either. I'm having the same problem with mine. It says com.calendar.... forced close or something to that effect.

delete the active sync\mobile device profile and create it all over again.

well i already did that, same issue
any help on this anyone?
did you go into settings>connections>usb to pc and uncheck enable advanced network functionality....worked for me in a similar situation.
Had the same problem - had to do hard reset. That fixed it.
I have deleted profiles, re-installed WMDC, hard reset, soft reset, still mine will not sync at home on Vista 64bit with WMDC 6.1
another thing
some contacts have gone missing while syncing
it syncs stuff selectively....
only some contacts
no tasks and meetings nor emails
I have used Pocket Outlook to sync with my Gmail account through IMAP for sometime now. Last week, I got a message everytime that it tried to sync OTA, that showed up as "no subject, no message, 0 k".
I reviewed my settings, and all was correct. I tried soft resetting, no luck. I tried uninstalling Microsoft Live Search, which I had recently installed. Same.
I eventually did a hard reset, as things were kind of slowing down anyway. Here is the weird part. I re setup the settings to sync with Gmail, and it successfully synced those emails up to June 2nd, but nothing after.
I am also getting a "tmail.exe" error when syncing, and sometimes, Outlook closes altogether.
Any thoughts?
I am running stock At&t 6.1 Rom.
UPDATE!!!!
Problem solved. There was one particular email that was almost all embedded jpeg's that once it was archived, the rest of the messages came through.
Updated this firware sometimes and still with the same problem. The calendar is not syncronizing with google calendar. Some soggestions to how to fix the problem??? i tryed to clear the data in calendar and data in calendar storage, reboot but nothing happened.
thanks in advance
updated to the last one and still not working. Is working only from one side, i mean if i add a date on my phone and i do the sync it is registered also online, on the other way doesn't work at all!
Hi all,
I'm running SpeedMod Kernel and stock Froyo 2.2.1. I did have Darky's ROM installed, but I've reset all caches, reformatted all things reformattable and reinstalled stock firmware (though not stock kernel... where does one find that!?).
Anyhow, the issue is (and I've done 5 factory resets so far, same problem each time) that when I set up my Google account, the phone endlessly syncs the calendar (little icon displayed on task bar and icon next to calendar in sync settings rotating). If you try to open the calendar app itself the entire phone hangs and you have to force restart. Also if I leave it for a while and come back it has frozen and needs to be forced to restart. It never stops syncing the calendar...
Has anyone encountered this problem and/or has a solution.
On a possibly related note, some of my appointments in Google Calendar have disappeared... did the phone delete them in it's mental sync antics?
This is really starting to annoy me...!
Thanks for your help!
PS. I have also tried clearing the data in the Calendar and related sync apps in app manager. Can it be that I have so much Google Calendar data to sync? It's been syncing on wifi for over 3 hours now... but Calendar app shows 0 kb, Calendar data shows about 300 kb and Calendar sync helper things shows 200 kb or so....
UPDATE: I've seen others on other forums having this trouble, even without mucking about with firmwares. Their suggested (and often successful) solution was to clear all caches and data and take the battery out for some time to let things discharge. I've done this... and the problem persists. Does anyone know if you can contact Google and have them look at the server side to see if something has snarled up there?
Any help appreciated!
Having trouble syncing calendar from my Sony Z3 Compact. Was working fine up until a few days ago.
Now will sync up to Google but will not sync down.
Have tried deleting calendar apps, caches, sync settings, reinstalling google account etc. Everything but a factory reset. Have also tried to delete any recurring entries.
Calendar syncs fine on my ASUS tablet so don't think it is a problem with my main Google calendar - seems to be a phone issue.
looking in the error log see this: java.lang.illegalaccesserror
com.android.calendarcommon2.recurrenceset.init (recurrenceset.java:106)
Any ideas on fixing issue?
