[Request] Rhodium Dialer Speakerphone Issue - FIX - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

As the title reads, I'm looking for a fix on the speakerphone issue (mic occassionally not working when activating the speaker on the backside of the TP2) ...
Is it fixable via cab? What exactly causes it?
Hope for a fix being posted and some englightment!
Thanks in advance!

Mhhh I don't have this issue. The only "issue" is when I'm calling my ear goes not enough over the proximity sensor and the screen Doesn't turn off. But that's not really an issue, it is hardware related because the sensor is left of the speaker.

Could it be a noise cancellation issue? I know certain roms allow for disabling or changing noise canceling (cyanogenmod?) for testing the idea...
I think it is software related issue.
I got it also. My software version is 1.29.401.13 and my brother got the 1.29.401.12 version he had no problems.

Download the latest CM11 release.
You're most likely still on an old version which had an experimental fix for the rear mic bug.
This is what's causing the echo. For now the rear mic has been disabled. (Only needed for filming videos, so not a big deal for most people)

Then use the fix I have already presented in numerous other threads... Install Williams kernel for CM (v3.0 was the most stable one) and use Fauxsound to boost your volume. IT WORKS.

[SOLVED] In-call Microphone issues

Hello everyone,
First of all, I would honestly like to praise how good the Z3 Compact looks, feels, and performs. I got it 2 days ago (from a non-Sony supplier), and I don't regret investing in it.
I have a problem, though, and it's the only one on this device - the microphone during calls. There's this echo that the other party hears when calling me, and on top of that, my microphone's quality is not the best.
Since it's new, I don't want to open it up and see what's wrong with it, but my guess is that both microphones (the second belonging to the camera) are on during calls and that's what makes the echo - the other party's voice is heard via the second mic and it gets sent back to them with a small delay.
Is there a software-related solution to this? I'm running the latest SliMM (6.0.1) with an unlocked bootloader. Thanks in advance for all your help!
Its most likely just a software problem, try fiddling with the Call Settings in Settings and see if anything there helps alleviate the problem if not, try using another Audio Engine ( e.g Beats Audio, Viper ) and see if that helps.
Also check if its a signal related problem, slurred speach and cut audio are signs of low/poor cell signal. Good luck

Thanks! I will definitely mettle with audio mods, but as far as Call Settings go, I've already disabled the "Mic noise suppression" feature, which makes a difference, but the echo is still present.
The bug is still present, by the way. Should I find an actual fix for it, I will update this post.
Sent from my D5803 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Update: It has nothing to do with the Android version nor the ROM...the microphone picks up whatever the speaker plays during a phone call.

I had similar issue. I disabled 'Microphone Noise Suppression' in call settings and it helped. Give it a try.

I have already done that, a long time ago, but it doesn't help. It does make my own voice sound more clear, if anything.
EDIT: I seem to have found the cause of this problem, and more on that can be found here. The thing is, the Google App and the "OK Google" feature are active in the background at all times, which might be what causes both microphones to always remain on. So what's the solution? Get rid of the Google App - freeze it, delete it with Link2SD, whatever.
I will definitely keep checking if that truly is the solution, and I'll definitely ask the mods to close this post, once everything's clear.

Microphone Issue not resolved even after flashing.

Hi,
I started facing Microphone issue post January patch which i flashed through fastboot. I tried reverting back to december build but the issue still persists.
For the life of me i cannot figure out what is the problem as in video recording, the voice is clear and even speaker calls work but when i switch over to normal call over earphone, the other person cannot hear me. Any tips to resolve the issue would be much appreciated.
Edit : anyone with insight please help?

Doesn't work. The no sound on microphone issue is over WhatsApp call too. Strangely as soon as I switch to speaker, it works fine.

Mi Max 2 primary speaker issue.

Hi everyone!
I recently purchased a Mi Max 2 global version. And I got an update as soon as I set it up. And for some reason the primary speaker doesn't seem to work. Only the ear piece is working as loud speaker. And I'm not able to hear sound from the primary loud speaker (the grill on the bottom-right).
It'd be helpful if someone could help me... And I hope it's just a software side issue (which I could solve on my own) & not at hardware level... :crying:
So please guys just confirm me on this, if your facing such issues after update or not...
Thanks in advance...
