When somebody calls me i already hear them speaking, before i accept the phonecall? Is this normal, its quite funny never seen this before.
It's not normal. There was another person asking the same thing yesterday: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=666655

how couldnt u hear that?? it hurts.
im 15 tho.
well for those who cant hear, its the exact same sound u hear when ur ears are ringing. or similiar to when a TV is turned on and u can hear that weird noise it makes
Ive tested this sound with a number of subjects and some can hear it some cannot. I can hear it though (im over 30)
LOL
yeah im under 30, a few that i work with can hear it.
i dont think its an age thing more a tone, some can hear the pitch and others cant depending on hearing scope.
still heaps of fun, its good in meetings if you get it at just the right level to be not quite a sound and watch the heads look around.
My ears hurt im 37, and my college hes 42 cant hear anything lol
Ive had the whole faimly on it (im 35) i couldnt hear through my laptop but can through my ppc, it hurts my sisters ears n shes 23,lol excellent for a laugh.
I'm going to put my inability to hear anything down to long nights spent in loud clubs all those years ago.
That said, I am 29 so maybe I've just prematurely aged by a year?
I called my girlfriend, and while there was the dial tone, i was whistling to my bird. When she answered she told me she could hear whistling as well as her ringtone, i told her i was just whistling to my bird. So we decided to try again, this time I talked as I called. When she picked up she said she heard it and repeated exactly what I said.
Weird and awesome I guess.
Interesting. Im my opinion the phone company and the phone would have to have some bizzare "fluke" at the same time. lol that's my best explanation.
why dont you make the most of it
you two can talk for free
I wouldn't trust it. you better watch what you say when you're calling here from now on because you don't know if she'll hear you.
I would think whistling to your "bird" would be a private matter...

hahahha
Yea, I would phone ur phone company if that happens still. Sucks.
My wife's HTC One has over active noise cancellation. If there is a single loud noise, or her voice goes up in volume a tiny bit, the noise cancellation effectively mutes the mic for about 15 seconds. The person she's talking to can't hear a thing. She's been getting around this by using a headset for the past few months.
The bug was acknowledged by HTC and a fix was supposed to be coming, but 4.2.2 is here and the bug is still present. I saw a few threads about it several months ago when she first got the phone, but I don't see any recent ones or ideas to resolve the issue.
Ideas?

Dude, you can't bump a thread less than an hour after you posted the question, people aren't just sat at home, waiting to reply to you lol (I'm being sarcastic of course, being that you posted it on the 18th of July ) ... If you'd have searched a bit you'd have found this thread .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406524 .. Maybe that's what you're looking for.

WTF are you talking about I was being sarcastic because the time difference was less than hour before you bumped ... but months ago. As for your question, how does my answer mean I can't read? the thread I linked you supposedly fixes a bug that sounds very similar to the vague description you wrote.
The thread clearly says this: "On M7 by default the Noise suppression is enabled and when we move the phone at certain angles, the other party wont hear anything what we talk. This mod disables the Noise suppression"
You wrote: "If there is a single loud noise, or her voice goes up in volume a tiny bit, the noise cancellation effectively mutes the mic for about 15 seconds. The person she's talking to can't hear a thing"
Does that not sound like the same thing? It does to me!
Nobody likes an arsehole when someone is only trying to help you.

Your sarcasm was not evident and I think 99% of readers would have assumed that you were being a prick because you thought I posted and bumped the thread within an hour or two. Luckily I quoted your post, because you edited the original to make yourself seem less an asshole. But, with the edit and now your second reply, you accomplished exactly the opposite.
Thank you for your time and reminding me why my visits to XDA are so few and far between.
Anyone else notice the speakers click on audibly when you unlock your phone?
There's a setting for that in sounds...
Sent from my Nexus 6

I was hearing the click too. I went to Settings, Sound, other sounds, and disabled Screen Lock sounds. That seems to fix it.
Just.... Wow.

I just said that out loud.
It's not the screen unlock sound Mr "just wow". I turned that off first. Not all of us are idiots and most people don't appreciate being treated as such.
Probably the reason some people don't come here after a while. They get tired of all the bull**** some people feel they have to dish out.
But thank you to the people that took the time to answer the question without being an ass.
Well i'm sorry... but A) That seems to be not only what everyone else here thought it was, B) You're calling me an ass for pointing out that obvious fact because you clearly failed to actually mention the notion that you may or may not have turned off screen lock sounds, and C) I've tried turning the volume all the way up on my phone while turning screen lock sounds off, and there's not even the slightest peep from the speakers. And it's not my ears. I can hear my TV turning on from across the room. Pretty sure i could hear if the speakers on my phone "clicked on audibly" when i unlocked the phone with it 2 inches from my ear.
Before you call someone an ass for coming to the conclusion that everyone else who replied whom you just now thanked for "answering the question" that they apparently didn't actually answer... try providing more information from the get-go. Maybe then you wouldn't get a smart-ass response?
Mods please close this thread. No one has anything intelligible to add and it's just turning into a crap throwing contest by one person who has nothing better to do than troll my question.

One of my friends did a hypnosis course after going undergoing regression himself. He is a certified QHHT healer now and practices hypnosis on others. When under trans, he saw his past lives (more than one) and some of the things he experienced were quite literally 'out of this world'. I have seen his hypnosis video and it seemed real. However, it was hard for me to believe if what he was saying or seeing, was something he truly experienced in past lives or just his creative mind.
Wanted to know if you or anyone you know has been through such experiences? And if yes, how was it? Also, any comments about it being real or fake are welcome.
Potato?
If one of my 'friends' said anything like that to me i would punch them in the mouth.
Fortunately i don't know any crazy people. If i did i would probably have to cauterise my own ear drums to save having to listen to their insanity.
