Anyone else notice the speakers click on audibly when you unlock your phone?

There's a setting for that in sounds...

I was hearing the click too. I went to Settings, Sound, other sounds, and disabled Screen Lock sounds. That seems to fix it.

Just.... Wow.

I just said that out loud.

It's not the screen unlock sound Mr "just wow". I turned that off first. Not all of us are idiots and most people don't appreciate being treated as such.
Probably the reason some people don't come here after a while. They get tired of all the bull**** some people feel they have to dish out.
But thank you to the people that took the time to answer the question without being an ass.

Well i'm sorry... but A) That seems to be not only what everyone else here thought it was, B) You're calling me an ass for pointing out that obvious fact because you clearly failed to actually mention the notion that you may or may not have turned off screen lock sounds, and C) I've tried turning the volume all the way up on my phone while turning screen lock sounds off, and there's not even the slightest peep from the speakers. And it's not my ears. I can hear my TV turning on from across the room. Pretty sure i could hear if the speakers on my phone "clicked on audibly" when i unlocked the phone with it 2 inches from my ear.
Before you call someone an ass for coming to the conclusion that everyone else who replied whom you just now thanked for "answering the question" that they apparently didn't actually answer... try providing more information from the get-go. Maybe then you wouldn't get a smart-ass response?

Mods please close this thread. No one has anything intelligible to add and it's just turning into a crap throwing contest by one person who has nothing better to do than troll my question.

A software for the vibrator?

Hi all
First, excuse my english please
On the kaiser I saw that the vibrator(?? vibrate? vibrations...) is very hard. If the phone is on a table, it's terrible, it scares me each time!
One of my friend has HTC touch and his vibrator is very sweet! It doesn't make big noise, even on a table...
Do you know a software which allows to manage the vibrator of this Kaiser? I don't find any soft on xda or on the web...
Thanks a lot for your answers

You really need to search,
go to radio shack and buy a resistor and solder it inline with the motor.
Wow, I had the total WRONG impression of what this thread was about!

Heh-heh-heh. Beavis, he said vibrator.
Sorry if some users here are too immature to handle things, but as of now i haven't seen a program that does this. The vibration is a bit loud on the table at times, but you can always turn it off.
hehe the guy said that he said vibrator
actually there is a way... just open up your phone . remove all screws.. disconnect the ribbons and take out mother board. if it doesnt come out dont force it. it means there is still a screw. i learned this the hard way after breaking my 8525 mother board in half =\. locate the motor for vibration. there is a screw. tighten it. this will make the motor spin slower thus making a softer vibration. loosen the screw to make is vibrate harder n harder n faster . then ur gf will thank u after this.
actually JK =P if u did this it ..not only will it be funny, but you will end up with a phone in pieces

Sorry If I Offended you with a poor taste joke. I too have been annoyed with the strength and noise of the vibration.
The vibration motor is the only thing In the Kaiser that is over-powered!

Makes you think who in HTC could've done this
One day in HTC:
Employee 1: Lets make the motor vibrate more!
Employee 2: Why the hell??-
Employee 1: STFU *Bangs employee 2*
Day Later
Employee 1: Lets make the motor vibrate more! It makes it more easier to detect it.
Manger of Kaiser production: Alright!
And here we are! With overpowered vibrating motors

Why not? It makes it fun because it's OUR phone you want them over at your house don't you?
So bad with me I hope that you are creating a software for my phone during this time
No?
And here I was, thinking, "so I have two phones that have cooked roms. time to get something the woman can use"
Turns out, you can't port linux to everything.
"sorry sir we cant replace your tilt, it has water damage"
...if girls get used to use it as a vibrator, we all better put a string to it, so that it does not get lost in some wet place...
if results of this usage are good, i think i won't care about the video drivers' issue anymore!
Great now my wife will be messing with my phone now too But seriously there are some people at my work that have the good old blackBerries and you should hear them vibrate on a table during a meeting.
Try TreoVibe
Thanks a lot for this answer.
I can't try that now but maybe tomorrow. During this time, I would just know if one of you have ever tried this soft with a Kaiser?
Thanks
Holy smoke, I cant believe people are still making the funny about vibrating phones and women.
Women like a sense of humor. If your laughing in this thread then you'd better get used to cold lonely nights in watching Babylon 5, because this theme is about as funny as testicular cancer.

"In call" earpiece volume...anyone agree with this please?

Is it just me or is the Diamond DAMN lightweight when you're on a call? I can hardly hear the other person, even at 'full' volume Apologies if this has been commented / asked about before but i DID have a good trawl about the section but found nothing, hence asking.
Any CAB's or tweaks etc etc yadda yadda about anywhere? I have to admit, it's seriously ticking me off
Please comment as much as you like or guide the misguided, namely me (lol) to where I am BOUND to have missed a reply to this one!!!
Cheers!

Headset only so it says. I'll plug it in and see if it makes any odds for when i remove it
Oh my life... i feel like a complete prat now!
My fault! Turns out that the lad in the store who 'said' he'd fitted the free screen protector, hadn't... i had the full safety mask on which has no hole over the earpiece and therefore, muffles the sound!
Oh well, maybe this info could be of use to someone else as dumb as me!
well ain't that cute!!

Motion Sensor question -please dont kick my a**.-

Ok, I searched for "shake and answer" and related stuff.
And all I got were members pitching the idea no real working stuff.
I just want to note that shake to answer a call would be Insane. And is worth mentioning in a post. Any ideas??
Thanks for your time reading this post.

nice idea, haven't seen around (i just don't know why-is it because it's not there or i missed it)
Bump Bump
Its a great feature come on guyzzzzz.
Thanks
i bet theres something like this already in development.
Shaking to answer the phone heh... IMHO it is less effort to press the hardware button than shaking the phone.
It would be a gimmick like SE's shake for changing a music track... cool for 5 seconds..after that..useless.
+ you wouldn't want to accidentally answer the phone when you're 'busy'...... not going further than that..
SKScheMa can allow you to answer phone when the phone is faceup/down, and all angles. No shaking.
Yea frankly.. shaking the phone for anything is kinda useless.
aAAAAA come on guys imagine just giving the Jewel a little shake after you look at the caller ID for a 1pick up call!!!
Come on guyzzzz. You know its cool!
Help me out hereeeee!

How would you continue to handle this?

I figured why not...let me run something by some strangers / outsiders and see what you think of this. I'll make it brief.
This girl I dated almost a year ago (I've moved on already but it was her who wanted to end the relationship) every couple of months will send me a text message or two trying to elicit a response from me. It's usually a non-threatening vague message that I typically ignore. We're both in our mid to late 20s.
Well now she sent another message to me a few days ago and quite frankly the only part of me that feels bad is I'm not the type of person to just flat out ignore or blow someone off but at the same time I really don't see what it'll accomplish talking to said person again.
How would you handle it?
Still keep ignoring?
Respond back in a mean fashion or in a way to stop her from ever texting you again?
Just be civil and reply back?
Other?
Just curious...here was the gist of the message...I've continued to maintain radio silence basically...
ex's message said:
Thought about you today and hope you are doing well [gives short description of some prior event spawning her to think of me]. Wish I could tell you how sorry I am about how immature I was last year but it doesn't matter so much I guess...I wanted to let you know I realize that and I do wish we had a friendship.

Just write to her "Cool Story, Sis" and never reply to her again. Or just give simple answers like "that's cool" or "good for you". Also she might be drunk texting u.
Sent from my iPhone 6GS using Tapatalk.
Attention seeking. Unless you feel some burning need to get involved with her again, simply tell her to stop bothering you.
The best possible way to handle this is to give her my number.
Install a call/message blocking app so you never even know when you get another text from her and there's no dilemma.
I agree with Dirk - she's attention seeking, and if that is the case then she's more trouble than she's worth.
There's only one way to handle this....
Get blind drunk.
Acquire machete...
Drive to her house....
Strip down to your underwear...
Play this song REALLY loudly......
Proceed to hack the crap out of her garden.....
Await inevitable scream from window/being dragged away by police.....
Problem solved....

Any fix for the Microphone noise cancellation issues? 4.2.2 did not fix it

My wife's HTC One has over active noise cancellation. If there is a single loud noise, or her voice goes up in volume a tiny bit, the noise cancellation effectively mutes the mic for about 15 seconds. The person she's talking to can't hear a thing. She's been getting around this by using a headset for the past few months.
The bug was acknowledged by HTC and a fix was supposed to be coming, but 4.2.2 is here and the bug is still present. I saw a few threads about it several months ago when she first got the phone, but I don't see any recent ones or ideas to resolve the issue.
Ideas?

Dude, you can't bump a thread less than an hour after you posted the question, people aren't just sat at home, waiting to reply to you lol (I'm being sarcastic of course, being that you posted it on the 18th of July ) ... If you'd have searched a bit you'd have found this thread .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406524 .. Maybe that's what you're looking for.

WTF are you talking about I was being sarcastic because the time difference was less than hour before you bumped ... but months ago. As for your question, how does my answer mean I can't read? the thread I linked you supposedly fixes a bug that sounds very similar to the vague description you wrote.
The thread clearly says this: "On M7 by default the Noise suppression is enabled and when we move the phone at certain angles, the other party wont hear anything what we talk. This mod disables the Noise suppression"
You wrote: "If there is a single loud noise, or her voice goes up in volume a tiny bit, the noise cancellation effectively mutes the mic for about 15 seconds. The person she's talking to can't hear a thing"
Does that not sound like the same thing? It does to me!
Nobody likes an arsehole when someone is only trying to help you.

Your sarcasm was not evident and I think 99% of readers would have assumed that you were being a prick because you thought I posted and bumped the thread within an hour or two. Luckily I quoted your post, because you edited the original to make yourself seem less an asshole. But, with the edit and now your second reply, you accomplished exactly the opposite.
Thank you for your time and reminding me why my visits to XDA are so few and far between.
