Wing Keeps Rebooting

Hey guys i'm coming across an issue with my phone and its really inconvinient. Im using the wing on VW6.0 and im loving it. I have HTC touch and a couple appls on there. But right now I cant seem to reboot my phone with my memory card it. THe phone just keeps rebooting and rebooting. ONce I remove the memory card the phone boots up and loads like normal. Then I can place the memory card back in and it works fine. Is there something....ANYTHING I can do to prevent this from happening in the future. Im really not wanting to do a hard reset of the phone. Please help.

Try using a file explorer (Total Commander or Resco) to rename \Windows\omap850_sdhc.dll to omap850_sdhc.dll.old and reboot.

oh thanks Duprade, appreciate the help man. Also i've noticed with a lot of the newer roms you there is more options such as REBOOT and what not. And I was wondering if their was a cap that just added some extra menu options like that? But thanks for the help it booted up flawlessly.

Oh and also liked the way Messages are threaded together in 6.1. Is there a cab for that by any chance that works really well. I just got one but it isnt the greatest.

I tried this... it worked for its intended purpose but now my wing has no sound. None of the sounds play. It just vibrates. Anyone else having this problem?

No sorry man. I did it and everything seems to be working just fine on my end. I dont have a problem whatsoever, just like it was before.

Nevermind it works now. I restarted my phone again & it worked like a charm!

i have a wing and i tried this rename and it still wouldn't reboot with the card in
after the rename it did replace the file with a new one from ROM but still the same problem no clean reboot with card in
any idea what i should do?

i had a similar problem, but it was because i overclocked the device to a limit that it couldnt handle. however i did the same thing by removing the memory card to allow the device to boot. after that happened, i uninstalled the program(battery status), then i rebooted with memory card inserted. phone was working well, then i installed battery status once again but not making the same mistake by overclocking too much. hope this helps.

I can't rename it. "Cannot rename file "omap850_sdhc.dll" Access denied" message appears. So its in ROM. How can i rename it?

blahh..what the heck !! mine just did the same thing for the past 10 minutes. Once I removed the storage card and soft reset it works again..strange..
Any solution so far?

Possible corruption of OS?? Kaiser doing something odd.

Hi all,
I have recently flashed a new rom onto my Kaiser and have since had loads of problems with the OS. It will flash fine and runs fine for the first half hour or so then the problems begin.
Programs will fail to open saying that they are not installed, when I go into file explorer or total commander I am unable to access the "program Files" folder on the device. At this point the system then starts to run slow and eventually crashes, upon rebooting it'll do a hard reset and I'm back to the beginning.
I have had a white screen twice on rebooting stating something like the OS or file are not accessiable press any button to hard reset. I am wondering if the internal memory is knackered?
Is there anyway of testing the internal memory? Like a windows check disc for windows mobile?
If anyone has any ideas and has a solution I would be grateful.

Try flashing a stock ROM first, then reflash with your intended ROM.

New Zimage freezes my TOPA210

I tried the new image (sound!) with new intrid and all the other stuff, and it freezes my Pure. Haret pops up and runs the slide bar, then freezes.
I went back in and put everything back in that was working, except for the zimage, and it still freezes. My system file is almost a month old, do I need to update this as well to get the new kernel w/working sound?

DL new sys file... still freezes... ARGH.. DL the new bundle package now, will do a fresh install on SD card.
On a separate note, does anyone have any luck getting the google maps app to work? It will show everything but the map picture itself. When the app loads it shows a US map for just a second, the shows a blue dot on a nlank grey screen.

this happened to me so i formatted mt SD and put the files back on and it worked.

Formatted the sd card. Put on the new bundle I downloaded and it worked like a champ! I even have the Google maps now working!
So, I put in the latest zimage, intirid and stuff and once again, it freezes my topa210.
Any thoughts?

Try adding zimage at once then boot then initrd & rootfs and see whats causing the problem. Maybe you didnt renamed rootfs correctly... this happened to me once xD

Re did everything on a (again) formatted card. Did everything one at a time.. Used new image/rootfs/intirid from around the 26th AND 27TH..
Everything works great! Sound, maps, navigation, 3G connections!

I am going to use this for a few days and see how it does, and will report back, if anyone is interested to hear.
I do have a question, though.
I put the battery false in my startup, will the battery still charge if I plug it in? The phone thinks it is fully charged..

[Q] Phone crashed? System UID inconsistent error

After getting that "UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable" error message in Docs v8, i tried flashing v7.6.2. The same error occured, i wiped/factory reseted, cleared dalvik cache and wiped cache.
After rebooting, same error. I wiped the SD card, same error after booting.
In desperation i did a repartition 512 in odin, then flashed JM9, but after booting the same error appeared again, but the strange thing is that it popped up a "setup homescreen popup" with LauncherPro?? How the hell, where it came from? :s
Dunno whats happening with the phone, please help

I currently have the same error. Did nothing so far, since everything works fine, but it annoys/worries me.
I would love to investigate, if one knew where to look, maybe it is possible to fix that error manually.
Edit: Ok, I read around. If you wiped practically everything and the problem persists its probably a hardware defect.

I fixed the phone. Thats what i did:
1) removed SD card, formatted it on the computer to FAT32
2) ODIN with repartition 813, then took off the battery
3) downloadmode again and flashed JM8 with pit 512 and repartition, then hardreset
4) registry hack then JPO with Kies
5) applied Doc JPO 7.6.2
problem fixed, so far so good

I found another solution.
have a [email protected] /data/system/uiderrors.txt
there you will find the apps, that are responsible for the trouble, delete them (manualy if necessary) and you are fine, reinstalling the apps brings the error back though.
Someone could write a script to automatically fix the UIDs of the files to match the UIDs expected by the system.

I have LG Gt540 on 2.1 Baltic Black ROM, rooted + apps2sd.

I got this problem today. I finally solved by flashing and reflashing the same ROM a few times. It suddenly worked as I was almost ready to give up and flash a stock ROM via ODIN with repartition.
However, when I looked at /data/system/uiderrors.txt, I can only find entries dated 23 Mar, not today. So what caused the problem?

This worked for me. Inspecting /data/system/uiderrors.txt gave me enough information to repair my phone. I uninstalled all misbehaving apps, and then reinstalled them later. Thanks!

Please give some more details, what files, what is JM8, how to reg hack, what is JPO with Kies...???

Thank you so much!!! Worked like a charm without having to wipe. It was a bad restore and Facebook was f'd up. I couldn't see it in the drawer and had to go into data/apps to delete it. Thanks again!

I find an error about eu.thedarken.sdm in udierrors.txt.
After deleting and re-installing it, everything are back to normal.:good:

With a terminal and "cat /data/system/uiderrors.txt" or
with a file manager app

UPDATE! i figured it out in the end i had to put the phone in recovery (CWM & Not Philz) and locate the Data/System file and delete its entire contents! i rebooted then it worked and all the popups stopped and i was able to get my phone working!
Guys sorry this is an old post but where do i gain access to: /data/system/uiderrors.txt

My solution was to change uids for directories inside /data/sdext2/
My /data/system/uiderrors.txt doesn not have any info about problem with UID or it was old for apps which I don't have anymore
I used special script which fix everything and the message existed
And in the and I looked into /data/sdext2/ (instead of /data) and there were directories with bad UIDs, and I changed these manually
command:
chown xxx:xxx /data/sdext2/specific_directory
you can check userID by command
cat /data/system/packages.xml | grep bsplayer
for instance
and value from userID="xxxx"
use in
command:
chown xxx:xxx /data/sdext2/specific_directory
THE MESSAGE disappeared !!!

can you explain this better? When is it freezing? what are you doing while it freezes? which version (frx04,frx05,ect.) is freezing? We can not help without more information.

also on my raph800 this happens.
i only tested frx04.
but similar situation appears on some other build like neopeek's donut build.
it just freezes after booted. i'm can see the home screen , i don't touch anything, i even didn't enabe data. once on frx04 i waited an hour and it's still inoperable

In my Topaz I have the latest FRX05 and also kernel, roots.... I'm quite sure that has some problem with the 3G because the phone freezes some time after the signal was established and I can't see the 3G icon anymore. After 3 or 4 reboot the phone doesn't freeze but without Internet and 3G icon as well.

Have you tried to format the sdcard and replace all the files? Sometimes this helps to get rid of some fragments of files left from just deleting. try a fresh install, or try deleting data.img and creating a new one(on boot).

i have used frx04,frx05 but still freezing.Freze surf market, install and use the application etc. there is no reason for the freeze. i don't understand for why (my english is too bad i am sorry)

try change the SD card i had a problem with a 1g freezing befor but now with a new 4go SD card problem resolved !

Everything works now and faster!!!!
There is some problem with the APN and MMS settings they should be set up correctly to avoid freezes. Now I have every latest component installed and working very well.

I use frx06, have copyed FRX06\STARTUPS\Topaz\startup.txt to root of sd card
and booted with haret.exe.
I do not get the calibration dots (sometimes i get a half dot sometimes nothing(of course I have deleted the calibration file in the root of the SD card)) have seen on another walk through where the dots is, and after guessing where the dots is, after a while the os is showing up and I can do some tasks.
Picture 1: After 1 - 2 minuts the phone freeze when trying to make a call. I can do nothing.
Picture 2: After 1 - 2 minuts the phone freeze when trying to unlock the phone. I still can do nothing.
Please help
