Two problems

Today I did a upgrade from 2003 SE to Win 2005.
First of all. I can't sync my device. I'm only connected as a guest.
I have read that I have to delete all existing partnerships but how do I delete them as a guest? I can't click on "delete mobile device" as a guest.
Second problem is that i can't use any phone functions. "unknown SIM status. only emergency calls can be made without a PIN"
i've never had a PIN-code. So what to do?
I can't afford buying a new device, so you are my only hope.
My english is not that good, I know. But anyway. I'm from Sweden.
I hope you don't ignore this post. Then I'll throw my mobile into the wall or something.
Please help? I'm begging you. and explain so even I will understand what to do

What version of Active Sync are you using? I would try to install version 4 and try again if I were you. I would not want to have to mess with the phone if there is an easier way to do it. As far as the pin code thing, I have seen many people with the same issue in the upgrade thread

does the word NONE for radio come up after soft reset, while the phone is rebooting?
what WM5 ROM did you install, btw?

I didn't know how to install the extended rom. I thought it would install automatically, with the upgrade.

uhmmm... good news? not too sure, hehe... well at least it seems the problem has been identified.
i think you upgraded with the wrong ROM. since you're in the BA upgrading forum, i assume your unit is a blue angel / xda2s... you should upgrade with a ROM for a BA.
downgrade first with the shipped rom (it's complete with the rom/radio/etc upgrades which you can get at the seeo2.com site), then upgrade with helmi's latest rom (rom upgrade), which is in one of the threads here.
there are specific instructions in upgrading helmi's rom at the wiki. tell me if you can't find it.

It was a ROM for BA. But anyway. I can't downgrade. I see the screen wit four colours, and then i should press "recording"/"camera" and power-button, but nothing happens. how to get through that stage?

be quick... be very quick...
you have to keep on pressing record/camera buttons until the dialog for no/yes/yes appears

wait 60 years... lol!
the sim card problem arises because of the NONE value for radio during bootup. TB_TB has a thread about it. if this occurs, perform a softreset again. the radio version should replace NONE before you can use the phone.

Hello All..i've ben trying to Run Htc Android on the Himalaya for a few days but have been unsuccessful..ive tried diff versions of Haret but it wont work
i can get till here :

Shutting Down Hardware
Turning of MMU...
in pre0loader PSR=600000df
Tags Relocated
Kernel Relocated
Initrd relocated
Jumping to Kernel...
Thats it.. btw im using HaRET v 0.5.1

i have tried with the kernel here http://linuxtogo.org/~lgorris/himalaya/zImage-himalaya and use the android.bin(set INITRD) from http://linuxtogo.org/~lgorris/kaiser-bootkit/android.bin
The touchscreen and buttons didn't work.

hmm i did try from the kaiser too, but i guess it was the old builds..i found from somewhere a collection of intrids too..but didnt pass the boot screen

Dutty 1.8 ROM urgent help needed please

HEy Guys,
I've just flashed my touch HD using the hard SPL then onto Dutty's Extrem Rom 1.8 and when the flashing was done, each time i turn on the device it says
"This concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers"
"To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the web site that you used to obtained your current beta software"
Thing is, I can't do anything at all when the screen shows up at the start.

im afraid ur a little late in the day for that rom, it was a test rom that expired back in feb. You need to re flash to another rom, if you want to stick with dutty, find his website (via google) and sign up to access his download section. 2.3 is the latest rom from him i think

Don't know if you used it but the search function is quite handy. The topic has been discussed alot already, try using the term ''time bomb'' and you'll see what I mean.

Mobile version expiration date??

had dloaded 23547 three days ago then had problems so went back to 23529. Now today i got a message saying that this moble version will expire on may 1 2010. did this happen cuz i went back to an older version ???never ever had this problem with any roms before. any ideas??

The ROM you downloaded did not have the "timebomb" removed from it by the chef. You should contact the chef to let them know so they can re-cook the ROM.
If you cooked it yourself in your own kitchen, you can consult with any of the other Chefs to obtain the utility to remove the timebomb and re-cook the ROM. Although, most of the kitchens I know of automatically check for and remove the timebomb. There may also be a link to the utility in the development thread somewhere...just do a search.

Mute button is working again on the latest one.

Ok nice. Another issue was when i click on people on my list.eg.pete so i go to p it will scroll back up to a after 3 secs. weirddd.

if you are having a problem with a particular chef's rom, you should post it in the thread you downloaded it from...not start a new thread.

I have HTC Kaiser (KAIS 160)
before this problem i have update so many rom's but due no extra knowledge am in trouble now...
My tri Colour Screen show me below things..
Security Unlocked.
KAIS1*0
SPL -3.29.0000
CPLD - 8
on start up
R 1.65.16.25
G 25.03.40.02H
D 03.29.00.00
Mobile working fine , but now am want to change rom , but every time on every Rom or Radio my Ruu give me Error 262 (communication Error).
i try to find a solution my self but every time failed so today i decide to make a thread for this.
Please give me simple step to get out from this..

first check my joining date .... i use xda from long time and its my first thread..
if you don't know just ignore , no need to useless suggestion...
