Cannot make or recieve calls

Hey guys, 1st post so don't be tooo harsh!
Did a search on this but couldn't find anything, my problem:
When i try to make a call it goes quiet then eventually it just cuts off with 2 beeps, i cannot recieve calls either. it is connected to the network (t-mobile) and i have coverage.
i did install tweeks form this forum, i've uninstalled them and done the "clear memory" function but still no joy.
T-mobile been messing me around about sending a replacement so just wanna see if there is a simple fix, it is still under warranty but would have to wait for t-mobile to have it back in stock, which i dont really want to do.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks
Kaled
Only time I have seen this (and I see it daily atleast on 2-3 phones a day!) is when a phone is barred/reported lost or stolen
But from the sounds of it, you got it on contract so I doubt thats the case!

Allow me to introduce you to my friends the comma (,) and the period (.).
Yikes...
sorry, was in a hurry
sorry was in a hurry when i typed this.
Now,
let me introduce to you the "Shift" key; sandwiched conveniently on both left & right sides of your keyboard!
Back to the issue,
I'd attempt a complete 100% wipe, including going back to past FW that you didn't have issues with and go from there. Alas, I'm not quite knowledgeable in this particular aspect of the G1.
Lets just hope you aren't missing a particularly urgent phone call.
Ok, Other than my grammar.
I got thedude 1.5 cupcake running.
My issue is my sister-inlaw has verizon and is unable to connect to me.
She gets no ring but I do; Then I am able to hear her but not vise-versa!!!
I didn't think my Grammar mattered when i was having an issue and wanted to get my post up ASAP so #@$% you very much for the help!!!
Sounds like a network-network issue rather than your phone being rooted. Were you able to talk to your sister-in-law fine before you rooted your phone (if you even did)?
network to network
Yes up till I flashed the radio I had no problems. After flashing I have many connection issues mostly with incoming calls. I have no problem calling back who ever calls me; Just
With incoming as far as I can tell. I know the network is flawed but i'd like to have the incoming working again. As of this post I'm running the dudes cupcake 1.0 themed with ba class 6 8 gig with 7000 m split ext2 rest apps to sds and 188 apps and latest radio via jf updater. Thx for the help.

Use the NBH file.
NBH
I've used rc29 NBH. The one to root, not sure what other one to get or use.
I've also fladhed the radio back with the jf 33 radio file. Still no luck! No incoming calls, people who call don't hear a ring but I do I try to answer and I can hear them but they can't here me or anything. I love my phone but would like to use it for calls! Thx
unroot your phone and talk to t-mo about it. when i first read the issue it seemed like it was only one person who couldn't hear you so i would have said their phone sucked, but if no one can here you then the odds of everyone else's phone sucking is pretty slim. try unrooting to see if it helps. also did you check the baseband ounder "about phone" after each radio flash? might have a problem there.
p.s. to those worried about capitalization screw off, but for future reference commas and periods are good

No Data While in Phone Call

While I'm in a phone call, I can't access the internet or data. Is this a known bug? If I remember correctly, you could do this before 1.6 on the G1.
You can't do it on the G1. It's one of the facts that Apple/AT&T uses against Android/Verizon. It's a known bug I think, if you consider it a bug? It sucks because while my I'm Tethering and I get a call I have to wait until the other person hangs up.
Does my name make you think I bricked my G1?
are you using the g1 or the nexus one?
anyways i have the att n1 with att service, and phone call and data works fine. i just tested this right now, was browsing around the market while leaving a message on my house phone. Have to make sure that im on 3G/HSDPA though. wont work on EDGE. i dont know about tmobile being able to do the same thing.....
I have rooted and using cyanogenmod 5053 rom. It was also working with the stock nexus one. i tried this out the first thing when i pulled out the phone from the box.
Any phone should work with data as long as its a 3G or higher connection. if your on 2G/Edge or worse, sorry not going to happen. Perhaps two phones like the ATT v Verizon commericials?
I have a Nexus. I'm pretty sure I could do this on the G1 prior to Donut. This happens to me on 3g. Should be able to access data over wifi in a call but no go.
Im on T-mobile and my nexus browses just fine when im talking on the phone

Call sprint as this seems to be a an issue with them your phone doesn't have alot todo with vm except for receiving them.
You could try *38 on your phone to see if it needs to be activated, its worth a try.

[Q] Voice mail

Hi,
I have updated to Froyo 2.2.1 unofficial version I think, and now I cannot get my voicemail to work.
I have contacted Optus and they say everything is working from there end, but it still doesn't work.
Once I go into call forwarding it always say's disabled, it then refreshes to say that forwarding to voicemail box etc. If I back out of the screen then go back in it the same thing happens everytime!!
I think I have stuffed my phone by updating. Can anyone help as I really need my voicemail to work!!
Can I revert back to Froyo 2.2 maybe???
Somehow it has fixed itself overnight!!
