Colour the Messaging unread ball icon. - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

Hi,
Can someone help me find the .png or .xml file that denotes the colour of the little ball on the Message icon when you receive a new sms? By default on the Hero it is "Green"
So if you have 1 new message, you will have a little green ball with a "1" on it, on the icon.
I'm pretty sure it's in an .xml file in the mms.apk but can't for the life of me find out which one?

the png might be "common_notification_ball.png"
i've found it on mms.apk
Give it a try.

Great, will take a look. I'm not sure if there should be two, one for the notification area and one for the main message icon, but will colour it and see how I go.
Thanks.

Theme Creates Dark Stripes in Text Messages?

I am having a little trouble figuring something out ... I have a theme file and I love it, but when I try to read my text messages, the theme makes the background of the text messages have dark colored lines that fade from right to left as the background and it's hard to read the messages. I can't seem to figure out what colors are causing this to change them to something lighter (or make it just a blank background). Any suggestions?
I'm using the AT&T Tilt with the purple theme found here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=ATOM_BUNDLED_THEMES
Screenshot here:
http://www.stewartlane.com/mystuff/TiltThemes/DarkStripes.jpg
When I click the individual messages, I get the basic white background and that's fine, but I really would rather have a white bg (or at least lighter purple stripes so I can read it easier) on the page that lists the text messages.
Search the forums for a program called 'RC Bar'. It will allow you to change the background color for the text messages, along with the color of most other things like the top & bottom bars, today text, start menu text, etc.
I had the same problem, all you need to do is change the theme and change it back. That should solve the problem.

White status bar

Anyone who wants to play around with the status bar at the top by changing colours e.g. from standard black to white just edit the file attached. Leave it in png format and the name as it is. Just edit the colour. Use adb or metamorph to include it in a theme or your choosing. And only place it in the following 2 folders - framework-res\res\drawable-480x320 and folder - framework-res\res\drawable-land-480x320.
It may not be necessary for both but it works for me. Jus thought to pass this info on. Cos Im working on icons. All creds to Ratcom as I was searching for this in one of his themes and Foxy Editor dev as I can edit the colour on my phone and also to the dev of Astro for making it easy2copy and paste
cheers guys/girls.
then how will you make the clock and date font color to black? becuase white text on white bar wont be visible.
Jm still playin around with other files at the moment. But when i do findout it"ll be on here.jus wanted2share the truble it takes for newbies

Date and Sprint Text Color

thanks to the help of VinceOB and tejasrichard i got the text color for the clock changed, but when I use the drop down the Sprint and the date in the taskbar is still white and when running a white theme its invisible, anyone know which file is the text color for these two?
Its either status_bar.xml or status_bar_icon.xml inside framework-res.apk /res/layout.

[Q] Change notification text color

Hello,
I want to change the text notification text color to white. (Where it shows the date, message notifications, etc)
I've tried all tutorials around here.
Till now I have tried with APK Tool, Apk Edit and another one, I can't remember the name.
After changing the color to white in status_bar.xml I cannot compile the framework, it always gives an error.
I can provide the framework, could some of you help me change it ?
Thank you !
Can someone please help me debug this framework ?
Also looking for how to do this. Got the clock white but not the notification text.
The text has been changed to white but I can't test this framework since it won't work with my phone so make sure you backup before testing.
It works great. It shows the messages. Thank you very much !
P.S: How can I change the date color to white ? The date is still black..
Where was the problem ?
Thank you again !

[Q] HowTo change Lockscreen Color in CM7 for Lense Style

I'm using a Milestone with CyanogenMod 7.1.0 by nadlabak and lense lockscreen style like in attachment.
Now i want to change the clock and date color, because black is unreadable on a dark lense. To change the the color in keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml doesn't work but this xml is in use. I don't know why, if i add a text in this xml, it's shown on lockscreen, but the time/ date color will not change.
I found Lockscreen.smali in android.policy.jar but don't know where i have to change the text for another color and to add the custom messages like in SlidingTab Lockscreen. If it's possible i want the lense style with the standard lockscreen messages for battery charging, alarm and maybe carrier.
Can anybody help me?!
I have the same question, any one help?

Great link
If i've found something in google, i wouldn't ask ...
Is there nobody who gets an idea?
you know stock android lockscreen these two sliders??
when you tap on it and slide you will see text UNLOCK (left slider) or SOUND TEXT (right slider)
am pretty sure that keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml file is for this style of lockscreen not for lense
IMO: keyguard_xxx.xml works when our lockscreen is protected only, so there must be other (more global) file to edit it

yes i know, but i've added a text in keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml "Phone locked" u see in the screen. And this text is also shown with lense style, so the xml is in use. But the must be something else, other settings or smali settings i think, to switch off/on the custom messages, date, alarm or whatelse on lockscreen.
Well I really look forward to get it white. I just made lense lockscreen for my MEIZU theme and it would look awesome with white text.

Same problem here. Neither adding textColor to keyguard_screen_lock.xml or keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml changed anything in Lense.
Would really appreciate help here.
Thanks!

someone managed to theme it for the ns/ns4g been meaning to poke around with it but i'm passed the balmer peak and officially trashed. So i post it here for those of you who are still looking for a lead.
@themapleboy this is not what we are looking for time and date is still black and the rest is just png slider
Sorry about that i was slightly inebriated and thought that would have been a good lead, didn't realize it was just a png.
Any update on this? i too want to know
