Sorry if this has been answered already, but which apps can be pulled from the sense Rom and work with cyanogen? I already have the camera, calculator and keyboard and wild like to try out any other apps that are framework independent.
Thanks in advance.
Teeter works.
Teeter does not work

Teeter works
I believe there is a modified apk for the desire's camera. Look in nexus one android development.

ayone know where i can find a good Nexus One theme?
Haven't seen a theme change notification bar color yet.can mess with my mode themes to customize your own and download helix launcher from market to make it a little like nexus one, till we have root I doubt you'll see an exact replica of n1 on this phone.
Don't forget adw launcher. Real nice. Or wait till the froyo update

I just hate these bubbles around the icons and I figured a good theme would get rid of them

HELIX IS GREAT... AND RUNS FASTER (YOU CANT USE THE HTC SENSE WIDGET... BUT THEY SLOW THE PHONE DOWN ANYWAY)
ZEAM IS GOOD TOO
These and a couple of others are free in the market place, there is even a home switcher app to jump back and forth.
Enjoy!

Can you back this up? I have the HTC Mail, Calendar, Messages, Flip Clock, Twitter, Music, and News. Each one is a 4x4 on its own homescreen, and I'm using the 7 homescreens. On the one with the flip clock, I also have 8 shortcuts.
I have yet to see this slow down the phone in the slightest, so I'm not sure what you are referring to with the slowdown.
launcherpro is actually the fastest stock android launcher app.
And motorjonny is right, the HTC widgets WILL NOT work on any other home/launcher app. they only work with sense.
cant believe no ones said GDE with the nexus theme! gde costs from market, but nexus theme is free...

You have to be running Dell Stage as the launcher to use any of the widgets. The Stage launcher is the first APK attached to the OP.

Phone icon not working and facebook login not working are known issues. This is a slick UI though. I'm going to look and see if there is a way to disable some of the screens, I currently don't see a way.

u can disable the screens by just draggin the screen to the trash like any other widget... theyre are just really big widgets haha

does it require terminal emulator or just regular apk installs through installer......?
just regular installer
for the phone app you have to replace it or rename it to phone.apk coz if ur phone apk is like lets say samsungphone.apk the luncher doesnt recognize it. but idk how to do this and this is mentioned in the original post. if someone figures out how to replace the phone.apk on a custom rom without screwing things up ill give em a hug! lol
Wil this work on the DHD just curious to see Touchwiz UI
Check it out here:

just tried it an it works. no samsung plugins though and it seem a bit laggy compared to Sense
is it an apk file??
Thanks, but as I so not like the samsung UI, I'll stick with my DHD's for now
I prefer sense too that is why I bought a DHD I was just curious about touchwiz UI.

I prefer Sense as well, but being able to freely organize apps on screens, instead of one large list, that shifts when adding or removing apps has something to it. I wish Sense got something like that.
Hey,
I was wondering if HTC app People can be used e.g. in CM7 ROM. I noticed several times that the answer was "no" in the forum. But, is there possibility to backup it in Sense ROM with Titanium and then restore it on CM7 ROM?
Thanks
EDIT: I managed to backup News & Weather app from Sense and then restore it on CM7 and it works! but I do not have People app to try it out and I very miss this great app.
I am exploring installing a Sense rom just to get this!
No.
The Sense apps and widgets rely on the Sense framework to run. No Sense framework, no Sense apps and widgets.
Sense is HTCs proprietary addon, which means it isn't open source, so the code isn't released, which means it's almost impossible to extract parts of it for use in other ROMs...

Has anyone even tried? Well, I am asking because I backed up News and Weather app which is HTC app from Sense and now I am running it on CM7 after restoring it. And I thought that this is also Sense app relyling on Sense framework. But I do not have TB backup of People anymore so I can't try.
Have you ever had a chance to give this a try? I may have to reflash a Z rom and try it... It would be great if it did. I really am not a big fan of the contact list in CM7, it is the one thing that is close to pushing me back to the Z ROMs.
Well if you gave it a try and it didnt work please post your results. If not, I may try to get some time this weekend to try it and will let people here know.
Thanks,
SoBBie
News & Weather isn't Sense app, and never was. It's Google app, and that's why it runs on CM7. Sense has News Widget and Weather Widget, and 2 separate apps for them.
I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU, I HAVE IMPLEMENTED A DIFFERENT Rosie launcher and some 3D widgets from a DHD Rom it looks very cool but have some issues like the clock from previous Rosie it's too small now and the new one from that Rom is not complete, also the 3D weather widget, the good thing is that this Rosie looks more like the one from One x... you have multiple home screens and you can pinch to zoom. I am using the the Three Musketeers Rom with Sense 4.0. I think that if that person that developt that rom would let us to use his work on our devices we could have a great rom, we don't have to use everything,we could at least use that Rosie launcher i think that is promising . Look the screenshoot, i am also adding the link to that Rom. Plis reply what you think about that, thanks http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564950
Have you tried moving across the clock app from this build to see if the widget is then sized correctly?

Yes i did ,if i press the stock clock the one that looks small, and when i tried to move it to other screen then gets bigger like it should be ,but when released it looks small again. But in the app menu everything looks good ,except there are some icons partially visible in the bottom ,the stock is 4X4 this one looks more like 5X4

Try taking the resources apk file from the framework off the DHD ROM, that may sort some of your resize issues. maybe.
