Wizard won't boot up

My father get a wizard from somewhere, and he wants to revive it. I think theres a lot topic describes how to do it, but I don't have time for this yet, and my father read all the forum, but he says he didn't found the answer, so please post a link if someone has the solution.
The problem is:
When I start my device it stucks at the boot screen. If I try to Hard Reset it (comm+voice+reset), it says FAT format faliure. If I try to do a rom upgrade on it, it upgrades succesfuly, with no problems, but still wont pass the splash screen.
Please help my father

You need to create an SD image backup and restore it from the image. Goodluck. I'll try to search the forum for the link..

Thanks, now it is working!!! the only problem remains are now with my miniSD card. I use a 2GB new that I get and was the main reason that I hard-reseted my device and did a mistake with it. Now I insert the miniSD card and my device dont read it or dont ... i dont know what. It just dont apear any storage card on my device. What can I do? I dont have a Card reader on my PC.

Use a digital camera or Media reader for your PC to format the miniSD Card.

This is the only way you will be able to do it as when you a a SD card dump it is raw so makes it so the card can not be read by anything till it has been formated!!!

you need to format your minisd, either through and SD card reader or camera. Goodluck! At least you got you wizard going.

Just need some help...Dreaimg.nbh fail

yes ive searched. yes ive tried alot of things. now that thats out the way id be grateful for any help on the topic. i dowloaded a few dreaimg files from xda as wll as androidandme.com rooting guide. none work. i tried to format my card again to load the image back on the sd card and try again and no luck my comp wont even read my sd card now. i have an 8gb and i hope its not fully fried but i can get another card if needed. my main thing is i was going from rc-33 back to 29 in order to root the phone and i get the dreaimg.nbh fail. i havent had a phone for about 3 days. if there is anyone out there to help ill take it. thanks in advanced.

what steps are you doing? explain step by step what you are doing....

Format your card to be Fat32 and make sure that you do not use a card reader. Works like a charm. The main thing is that your card needs to be Fat32.
I tried using a card reader but would not read then I formatted thru the phone and worked and flashed

step by step
i formatted the card while it was in my phone to FAT32.
i downloaded the image to get my phone back down to rc29 in order to root.
directly from my phones browser i downloaded http://www.androidactivity.com/root/root.apk over wifi
installed the root.apk file
powered off my phone then turned it back on by holding cam button and power.
ressed power to run image then got FAIL.
i followed the instructions from here:

after it failed there was no way for me to mount my phone so i got a sd card reader, plugged that in and then went to apply the file manually. i deleted the old file then put the new one on and it still didnt work so i decided to format the card to fat32 again and then try to put the fileback on. now the card cannot be read.

i didn't use thaqt app- i just did it the old fashioned way in the sticky thread on this forum.
i read in the middle of that page you linked to that "Update: Some users have reported the DREAIMG.nbh file gets corrupted when downloading over 3G/Edge. To avoid this just download the file to your PC and then copy it to the SD card." -
is this what you did? i see you downloaded it from your phone- maybe its the phone that corrupts it- DL it from your PC and transfer apk over from there.
looks like a nice app though.....

going to another g1 now so i guess i will give it another try and see wat happens. i am also going to get another 8gb card so if there is a better instructions please post em

[Help Please] Micro SD Card

I have 2 gb micro sd card and I want to format it using Resco file explorer. But it keeps telling me to check to see if its unlocked.
I use to be able to format without a problem. But i have recently started to flash roms. I can put stop and take stuff without a problem. Just won't let me format.
I also tried formatting using my laptop, but won't work.
EDIT: Sorry, wrong place. Wanted to post this in general Kaiser forum.

Is the little write protect tab on the side of the sd card in the right position??

i moved it off the lock position and nothing? my comp won't even let me right click it. when I click to open it, says needs to be formatted and when i click format PC says it can't be formatted.
I searched on here, but no thread about this type of problem. card isn't ruined because i can still add and delete stuff.

I never experience this issue .. quite confusing.
However, this should be posted in General forum, not ROM Development. Mod, please move as such ..

Could be a problem with the card / slot connectors. Try with some other card reader.

I had an issue once where I couldn't format my card - I had no lock errors though, just couldn't format through the PC or with PPC programs.
Eventually I installed 'Flash Format' by CNetX (google it) - it formatted first time on the free evaluation version.
Worth a try if you're about to bin it!

You sir are a genius and a life-saver!
This product is a magical potion for the microSD card. I tried so many different things online, on the laptop, and the Kaiser and none worked. This thing took less than a minute and formatted with the click of one button.
Mods, please move this thread. Hopefully it can help others who might have this problem in the future.

Use another Haret from other ROM.

I have the same problem for my Rhod100. Even installing the .cab file doesn't work. This problem is since this morning. I copied the file for many time and from different people but nothing is working.

Yeah I can confirm that your have a bad SD card. I had this kind of SD card before too and it was much more cheaper than original. All the files that you had copied to SD card will be corrupted, that's mean you cannot open it or play it. Then you also cannot make partitions on your SD card as well, am I right?
The only way to solve this problem is BUY A NEW SD CARD

Well i don't think that is the problem because it worked untill 21th of september. But maybe i will format the micro sd card (after i copied all of the files to my hard disk). Maybe that will work, I will try it.
Edit: I just tried to format the Micro SDHC card (It is an Micro SDHC) but it didn't made a difference, I still get the same error. I could gamble to buy a new micro sdhc card but what if that wouldn't make a difference too?

If you dare to try your luck for gambling, then why don't you try your luck to buy a new SD card?

minitool does not show all the partitons
i think jerrytan93 is right as whenever i try to make partition from mini tool then after making the partition the minitool does not show all the partitons, it shows only the fat 32 partition (with full memory).
but when i formatted the card again on my pc using windows then i was able to upload files on my sd card and also excess them with my mobile, that means my sd card is not bad.
but again i can't make partitions so what is the matter, i don't understand

I saw someone (forgot his name) in this forum said that there was some brand's SD card which are unable to make partition. So looks like you are the unlucky one

I've experience the same problem before.
Maybe the problem is ;
1. If you use Winmo Roms that have an OverClock setting like Dynamic rom, jus turn the OC setting off.
2. Maybe you have a bad SD card, try reformating it.

are u have overclocking on ur x1?

With GTX Dynamics ROM, i see Overclocking at Settings/System.
But 826x hasn't it. Where do i can find it?

Energy ROM, at first try, it can run haret.exe <-- from Sensedroid..
Running perfectly..

The Dynamic roms has the OC setting. U can turn it on or off.
I really don't know the Mhz after OC and before OC.

well, It might be the overclocking problem as others mentioned as I've had the same problem cuz Haret doesn't work with Overclocked roms ... also, I'm kind of new, so I'm not sure about the next tip but it worked for me ...
I went into the startup file next to the Haret and I changed the value from to 614 instead of the higher num cuz some of the Android roms are highly overclocked .... so, by lowering it, it might work ... it took me like 2 hours to find this solution but I'm not sure if it will work

[Q] Galaxy Ace kills SD cards?

Hey Guys,
my sister has a galaxy ace, it runs Stock 2.3.6 and it has problems with micro sd cards. Two of them became write protected and i don´t know to get them back to life. Hope you could help me and may say somthing about same problems and how to solve them, cause i don´t know so much about this device.

btw i've never heard of sga making sdcard write protected. maybe its virus infecting the sdcard?
and yes, pc virus can infect phone sdcard.
my friend who own a neo v just busted his sdcard few days ago by a virus that infecting his sdcard and deleting all mp3's and pictures and replacing them with its copy.

I think u shud just ask the person u got it from..coz this doesnt seem to be the case with me or the other users...i can use SD cards all right..

+1 to that...i think this is the first time someone's got a problem with the SGA affecting SD cards..

After this problem appeard a second time i made a full wipe in recovery and installed a virusprotector since then there was nothing, but between the first and the second time there were two months.

Maybe its due to the apps u might have installed...Let the fone run and see if the virusprotector makes any difference..

Now there is nothing it runs once a day may it really was a virus and i kille it by making the full wipe and reinstalling the firmware. But thanks for ure wasted time. May i could get the sd cars back and i hope the phone doesnt do this again in future.

it might be pc virus, came from any of pc the phone once connected to.
i doest make any difference if today u clean the phone and th next day its infected again by virus from the pc
scan the pc too just to be sure.
if the phone have never ever connected to pc, just ignore my post

If you are using SD Card Tweaks such as improving speed then what did you except?
If you are using stock rom without stock then your SD Card is really weird/bad model (or even producent is weak). I'm using for about 6 months 8GB Kingston 4 Class MicroSDHC with lifetime warranty and I don't have any troubles with it.

The SD Card might be defective. I wouldn't blame the phone though, unless you're messing with sdcard cache and such

It's very unlikely that a phone can "lock" an SD card. Did you tried connecting it to the computer and setting write permissions. Even if it's lock, it's a software lock, so it should let you format it (as I said, sounds like the SD is as "read only")

Did you partition/format/wipe it using CWM ?
It seems it cause some problem to some people (like missing apps on the partition or "not writable" mode).
You can format it with PC (be sure that MicroSD Adapter isnt lock too)!

THERE IS A BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF YOUR SD CARD READER. IT SAYS 'LOCK'. FLIP IT.

Try a software called MINI TOOL PARTITION. It might help you.
And connect sd with adapter
