What web host should I choose?

Hello!
I got some money for Christmas and I want to use it to buy myself some hosting. I wanted to pick HostGator or HostMonster but what I want to do with the space is against their policy.
I need some server space to host all our family pictures with FTP access for everyone to upload their own pictures. We all have a camera and it's a pain in the butt to reunite all the pictures after the holidays especially with my parents not being together.
I'll also host my Wordpress blog on it so I need some bandwidth (about 70 clicks a day, nothing bad).
Anyone has a good host to suggest?

agree, my friend have ever offer me wit this one of web hosting..

Bluehost doesn't allow personal file hosting. :S

N1c0_ds how is whatever you're going to do against hostgator policy? I have to tell you now. Hostgator has the BEST customer service of them all. THE BEST. no joke. I love it. Would never give it up. I would use it until they actually tell you that you can't use it, which they probably won't.

I am sure that myjethost.com will give you unlimited space and extra features if you tell them that i told you to sign up. Also i might get them to give you a discount of upto 50% or more.

My PayPal account went unverified and I can't do anything about it without a credit card. I guess I'll have to wait before I get a new web host for my blog and Gecko.

i called telenav and was able to get a copy of telenav, is there an interest id me linking to it ?

its not the trial, its the full version. but you still have to have an account to use it. they will not give it to cingular users who use the g1, but i acquired a copy. and i am not sure if these forums allow that or not.

h. I'm guessing you pay for the account? I dont really know how the app works in terms of activating lol

It's $10 a month but I don't like pay monthly I don't understand why they just don't put a price to the software and that's it. Why they charge monthly?

I haven't installed it, I always forget to cancel autostart subscriptions. Although I guess I could put a reminder in my phone.

Haha ok ill put one up there, so far it works really good, a bit sluggish but i dont have the best signal right now!

No you dont have to pay for 30 day trial, you can cancel before with no charge.

OMG that is so (insert term applicable to aad4321, used in a derogatory manner) that you would think they would charge for a trial version. That's usually what a trial version IS.

Anyone and everyone requires a credit card, for auto renewal AFTER the 30-day trial.
It's almost a standard for most companies now-a-days.

Thank you. I wouldn't put my card information in a trial version of anything. That's very "uncool."

Most credit card companies will let you make a vitual card number that is only good once. I think PayPal was exploring the same option too. This way they can't make it recurring.

any idea if it'll work in UK? on US only?

TeleNav GPS Navigator problem
hey guys,
i am using telenav gps for 30 days trial. when i tried to type in an address then click ok, the display says "getting gps" 30....31...32...34...blah blah till 100 percents for 8 minutes. then it says "no gps, please move to open area".. i was in my car and been waiting till done before leave. my email is confirmed. i live in san diego.

I don't have any experience with telenav, but does the gps work normaly? Say for goggle maps?

Move to an area that you can pick up a signal, that might help.

Ok I got the Telenav GPS Navigation software and I am mostly pleased. However, My question is when and if they update the software how will I know there's a new update for the software since it isn't downloaded through the Android Market? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well I'm not sure. See I called the customer service not too long ago and I got this guy that didn't seem like he knew much of what he was talking about. And I asked him and he told me you had to call and ask. But I think that's ridiculous. And I agree with you. You should be able to download it on the market. It is free. Its the service u have to pay for not the application. so I hope they eventually put it on there or send us emails or something. Its gonna bug me because come on, it works pretty good but it clearly needs some updates.

I play but not actually play. My that I mean is that I use bots to get my skills up and to get money and I just talk to people and buy stuff.
Since you just started you should try botting. Go to powerbot.org and that is a great place.
I won't place my username in case someone reports me to Jagex and gets me banned.

I dont think so much its for 8 year olds, its dominated by them, though.
I was playing a few months ago (I god offered a moderators position so I decided to play again) but there just isn't enough depth in the game. Only so much fun there can be had from clicking the screen.

You guys sometime forget very important things although you prepared it all very good, but at the last moment you still forget it.
Today it happened with me, I sent mine passport away for an visa application, but after I got home I see that I forget to put the required flight ticket with it.
After that I read suddenly that the travel plan is still needed, first I though it was not needed any more from 22-03-2012, but just now I read that it is not needed any more from 22-03-2013.
So now I'm confused, did I read it wrong or did they first put on that page 22-03-2012? Well I send two mails with the missing documents, I hope they don't charge me administration costs for those 4 A4 prints they need to make for me now.

CRAP! You just reminded me of something! Sorry about your problem but I got to go! Literally!

I guess you never need apply for an visa which requires you to put many documents with the application.
That's where I'm talking about, I forget to put two important documents and I already e-mailed the documents to that company, but I got no response back. I could be they just print it and add and that it, but I would like an response.
I'm now like tracking the package I send to them and I will call later again if I see they got it. As they must see the mistake them self to, they must control it on mistakes.

The annoying thing is, normally she answers the mail kinda fast, but I haven't got an reply on mine mail anymore since 22-03-2012.
I guess they are busy? May is probably a month many people will apply for a visa. Oh well I just keep tracking the package and if they wanna charge me € 15 administration costs for printing 4A papers then I will send an mail that I found a company who does the visa application cheaper.
But I don't think they send it to the ambassade whichout checking everything. I'm just human so I can make mistakes to.
