Nexus One headphone controls not working - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any ideas as to what would cause headphone controls to cease working?
I thought it may have been a driver issue with IntersectRaven's 2.6.34-rc7 kernel, so I flashed back to his 2.6.33.4 kernel, which I knew worked fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

My headphones control wasn't working at first. Finally found out an app had taken over the music controls setting. Tune Wiki had a checkbox for the music headphones. Unchecked it and suddenly worked perfect!

What combo have you been most successful with?

This is in regaurds to the a2dp settings. Curiuos to know what combo people have found to have the best and loudest sound by setting bit pool, joint stero, etc. Also, please list what headset you have. (i have s9's) thanks
anybody?????????
Jabbra B620s, LevelOne BLH-1200, Philips SHB7100
all working just OK
i meant like the bitpool and settings like that.
I've been using sony dr-bt10cx's with the default bluetooth/bitpool settings, and have been getting great results. i've used kaiser tweak to bump the settings in the past, but i didn't notice much improvement.
I'm using the SonyEricsson MBR-100. I've been streaming audio to a home audio system and car radio for the last couple of months. It works fine right out of the box, my Kaiser is stock when it coms to ROM and A2DP settings. Don't even have the HTC bluetooth fix installed.

BT Headset and custom ROMs.

Hi all..
I have a minor problem for most that is important enough for me and keeps me away from all those wonderful custom ROMs..
That is:
The phone is set to "vibrate mode", I stream music through A2DP and it works great until someone calls me. Then the headset notifies about the call and the music I used to listen to is now played back loudly through the phone's speaker. That is very annoying, given that I discovered it when I was in my university's library trollolol.
I tried all versions, CM10.1, AOSP, AOKP and this happens in every single one of them. Only in stock based ROMs everything is working as it should..
This also happens with the apollo player and also with player pro.
Also tried Optimus Prime kernel by demetris_l, still the same.
Lastly, I also tried it with 2 different A2DP bluetooth headsets (Sony Ericsson MW-600 and Scosche tuneStreamII), both act the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks for your time!
Update.. I managed to work around it by changing the applications I have been using.. Mortplayer works great and doesn't act like that, for instance.
Thing is, why did the apps like PlayerPro and Apollo worked ok and paused music playback during a call on the stock ROM but not on any of the custom ones?
Is it maybe that they can't use the READ_PHONE_STATE permission properly?
Thanks for providing a workaround atleast
thre was a guy saying that this doesnt happen to him, so dont you think it could be your BT headset?

CyanVivo 10.2 4.3 ROM- Bluetooth audio playback bug

Since I can't post directly to the ROM thread, thought I'd post here.
Installed the ROM and the ringtone audio fix. All is working swimmingly on the device.
Re-paired the phone to my JVC head unit in my car. When playing back audio via Bluetooth, any audio streams are playing back at what seems to be 1/2 the frequency, therefore the pitch is shifted upwards- basically a chipmunk effect. This is happening with ANY audio stream to the head unit- music, TTS output, google maps voice prompts, video playback.
I deleted and re-paired devices. Wiped Dalvik cache and the cache mount. Still the same problem.
Any ideas? Is this a generic cyanogenmod bug that crops up? No problems like this with CyanVivo 10.1 4.2.2.
Thanks!

It's caused by audio fix. You can replace audio.a2dp.default.so with the one from Stable #4 and you'll have correct audio playback back =)

A huge thanks to you both- I've done the replace, haven't tested it yet but hopefully this'll do it!
UPDATE - tested and working as normal after replacing the file mentioned by theQwertiest- thanks again!
Hello World
Hi, guys.
Saw this post about bluetooth in CyanVivo10.2.
I was using 10.1 with BT headset and everything was almost fine.
Then i decided to move to 10.2 stable 4 and when i tried to check BT headset i have found some extreme cracking noise when listening some audio. So i check my BT headset with other phones but all was fine with it. Trick with switching files doesn't work at all (even with 1.5x speed cracking noise is still present).
In order to find a solution i checked other versions of szezso's 10.2 (stable 4,5) and noticed that this "cracking noise" is not so noticeable in Troj80's version (stable 3) of this rom. The solution of this problem was found in CyanVivo X where this noise was absent. As i understand the trouble lies in A2DP and Bluetooth files.
Update:Checked VivoKat 4.4 for this noise in BT headset and I haven't found it there.
Maybe someone who are more skillful has some ideas of this trouble?
Question to Szezso:
Is it possible to insert files from CVX to CV10.2 and will it work ?

CM 12.1 droid turbo Bluetooth calling not working

I recently flashed CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly on my droid turbo. I Have had a good user experience so far, although there is only one issue that is really effecting my decision of using this ROM as my daily driver. My phone has no audio during Bluetooth calling and the microphone is not working as well. I'm not sure if this is a known issue or if there is a fix available at this time. I would greatly appreciate any responses in this thread troubleshooting the issue, so we can all resume safe hands-free driving.

Do you happen to be using the 11/29 nightly? I haven't tried any other newer release yet, but I have been able to successfully connect via bluetooth to my car and stream audio. I've had no indication of it failing. The one thing that got me at first when connecting to my car and streaming was that bluetooth has it's own volume control (which I turned up to maximum on my phone). I'm not sure that would explain the microphone though (if it's even related to your issue).

Depends on the bluetooth device you have. My Jawbone ICON earpiece works fine, and my Pioneer car stereo makes calls fine. Other people have had some issues. The dev says he needs a logcat for missing bluetooth configurations.

Also for the bluetooth sound not playing issues, I'll need a logcat for those, since it's possibly a missing configuration for some of them.

And you've gone into the phone audio settings (when it's connected) to make sure your mic audio, etc wasn't turned down? Audio settings change when Bluetooth is connected...
I use Volume Control Plus and put a shortcut on the desktop so I have quick access to all the phone volume settings.

yes I have made sure it is turned up on the head unit and the phone when connected and I have also tested when in a call selecting Bluetooth toggling back and forth from ear piece speaker but no change
This is why I ditched cm12.1 and went back to stock. My bt headset worked with music but no phone calls.

Oreo Bluetooth developer options

I have experienced Bluetooth backward compatibility problems with my note 8 on devices having early bluetooth versions. For instance I have a monster rocking roller speaker that worked flawlessly with the s7 and with my N8 I would have audio distortion and crackling.
With the delivery of Oreo there are a bunch of Bluetooth settings to play with in developer options (attached) and I was wondering if anyone has had success tweaking these settings to solve an issue like I have been having.
I never used any of the settings and no BT issues here (Speakers, car audio, smart watches, wireless headphones/earbuts).
Maybe your speaker has a problem...

Have you tried messing with the sound-alive settings the phone uses? The drivers it uses suck! Ive noticed in some cars it was the issue, ive moved away from samsung drivers all together and use viper for a solution but being unrooted your stuck with using what you got

I didn't but I changed the codec setting from acc to sbc and messed with the sample rates and I now don't have a worthless $200 speaker. This seemed to solve my previous problems.
I've been having a similar issue my stereo in my truck is supposed to launch my Bluetooth music players and allow me to control the music player from the stereo in the truck but it does not now since the update any idea on what settings I should use for what they were before the update?
I use the aptX codec on my Bluetooth headset. What's up??
