Yeah, I haven't seen anything like that for Topaz.
You may find an app out there though, who knows.

in this text (the site web mobileburn) : " the phone auto-rotates to 3 of its 4 sides in a unique way. Instead of using an accelerometer to detect this kind of motion "
take a look on the video from 1:22 onwards... on some other sites, they stated that it uses the camera to rotate..

No, It won't. I tried to play it on my Kaiser, it said camera error. But I can play it with D-pad.
I hope there are any great person who can make our Kaiser use camera to rotate.

It kinda worked... I rotated the device & the snake would switch directions but it wasn't always accurate. And most of the time, I just looked like a fool rotating the device with no change in the snake. I don't know if I was doing it wrong or what. But it is a cool concept.
If I am not wrong, the omnia does have a accelerometer or g-sensor as it's called. Where did u read that it uses the camera?

In the above review, the specs shows accelerometer.

Getting the HTC Touch HD Camera cab/functions **FASTER**

Does anyone know how to get the HTC Touch HD camera software onto the Xperia X1?
You can see from here:-
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=2238
they have a lot more functions like panorama and similar the Xperia camera software does not have.
And the camera software seems much more responsive and fast.
Anyone have an idea?!
Why did you post a question about the Touch HD in the Xperia X1 section? Just curious.
he asked if touch-hd camera can be used on x1, its not a question about touch-hd.
but to answer to q.
I have tried to make it work, but no luck yet.

Pity about that... the HTC version of Camera seems much smoother and faster.

Any update on this topic???
do you think the HD software is better than the r3a cam?
I also like the HTC camera better. I don't know about picture quality, but this is a camera phone, and the HTC camera is definitely faster. Is there any way to install the HTC camera app without loading an custom ROM?
Activate Hidden Photo Modes for HTC Camera:
set "Enable" on "1" in the following registery entries:
Burst mode:
\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P6
Sports mode:
\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P8
Video Share mode:
\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P9
GPS Photo mode:
\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P10
is the HD cam program better? am using Hd .. nothing superb i feel
does it works on the x1?
of course it works on the x1. every custom-rom with sense 2.5 needs this camera, it's a dependancy of htc album. problem is that it doesn't make good pics and vids, so you're better off with originial x1-app.

what do you had installed before?

4.2 Camera with Photosphere up and running.

Go into system prop build with your root file explorer (You must be rooted) and edit these two lines in your prop build.
ro.product.brand=google
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
Reboot.
Then flash this file using CWM :

Yep, unfortunately, you can still use the original camera as well tho.
It'll keep us going until Sony upgrades us to 4.2. (if they do).
Why would I want to use this 5mp camera when u have stick Sony camera which is 12 mp and had more features?

Because it has photosphere, which is cool .
You have the original T camera also, which runs side by side with the 4.2 camera, best of both worlds.

Right, so this is not to replace the Sony cam, but rather to add photosphere to this. You are effectively adding a feature, not replacing an existing one

It runs both cameras, it doesn't upgrade the sony cam., it upgrades the operating system, the 4.2 cam. with photosphere and the original cam. remain seperate and both fully functional.
Which is pretty cool.

I havent seen any Screenshots yet showing it, or have I?

Photosphere is a feature introduced in JB 4.2. Essentially, it is a panoramic camera that makes use of the gyroscope to allow you to take a bunch of pictures all around you, and merges them, creating an immersed image (meaning, you are standing in the middle of the picture). this is the same tech used for Google streets (how you can view around, up, and down... same concept)...
Hope this makes sense... look it up

Thanks, I did know that but it wasnt advertised well as to what it was in the OP so I though many users would just go "5mp, you must be joking, why?"
Anyway, it looks good and I will give it a try, but the panoramic camera on the T is extremely good...but if we get a google street map view that can be scrolled and zoomed into...wow....

I would have just, told Greg, to do some research before posting upon matters that he has no knowledge of.
Greg is a top poster on here, one of the best, a tad behind in some respects. Look before you leap, seems applicable to Greg.
Back to the positive.

Ok, keep up the good work fella. Great posts on the T's development. :good:
Confirmed working on Xperia T with CM10.1.
Others have reported the new Camera app taking upto 5MP? Mine's allowing me to take up to the standard Camera app, which is 13MP.
Question
Do we change ro.product.model or ro.semc. Model?
Cause I don't think I have to.product.model
Using Xperia tx

Can someone help me understand the drama with the Sony camera? Is the image not really 20mp because it downsizes it? Can that be turned off? I don't want to use third party programs to mess with the pictures. Just trying to prep for how I can get the best images.

Touch to Focus while Video Recording

Guys, I just tried Snap Camera, and i found out that the video recording is really brighter when recording on Snap Camera compared to Sony's Stock Application. ALSO,on Snap Camera, i can tap on screen to change focus while recording video, which is something that I am not allowed to do when I use Stock App.
This means that our device(z3 compact) IS CAPABLE of using Touch to Focus while video recording. Is there any way to activate/enable/make use of this feature on Sony's Stock Application?!
Thanks in advance.

Yes of course !
Decompile the stock camera app and code it in yourself.
100% serious answer: judging from your question, no.

Is it possible for developers @mkdmc to do something like this? I mean, since they're making mods, they might know how to tweak the stock app camera to achieve it!

Like I said... It'll be faster if you code it yourself. I know everyone here can do that since it's XDA- ""developers"" after all.
Whether he wants to mod it or not is a different question, better to ask him yourself.

Thought you made a typo ( can - instead of can't) and that's why I didn't catch it. Message sent. Hope he replies!
The question is: Is there a high request of this feature or not? I myself don't have a problem not having that focus, as for real recordings, I better use my "real" camera / camcorder instead of the phone.
@kwstas 13
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll add it to cyberian road map
