Wizard rom Upgrade

Hi,
I would like to upgrade the rom on my Qtek 9100 as getting a hermes seems like a waste of time(not enough new developments) Can anyone reccommend a good rom and provide a link to it? - I cant find farias rom anywhere. I have the earliest revision of radio and os rom avail as I got my 9100 last December.
Please help as I think upgrading ROM would be much preferable to upgrading phone.
P.s do the new roms fix the screen calibration and alarm wakeup problems

It is highly unlikely that you will find Farias ROM as he has removed it from the general population. You need to read for about a week or two and after that you may be ready to upgrade your phone. I don't know if the new ROMs fix the problems you are talking about because I never had those problems to begin with.

Do you have the info on what was in Farias ROM?
I don't want the ROM, but I'd like to see what he was doing. It's a shame that someone had to be an arse and ruin for other people, but then again, it's as a shame that people let people get to them over the interweb.

The best way to find out what his ROM had in it is to go to the first post in his thread and find the link that will show you his first post in the very first thread about this whole thing. He talks in detail about what the ROM contains.

It seems screen calibration is a hardware problem...
I had got this, was forced to visit service center (to replace the whole display). New screen is fine

crap, looks like getting a hemes would be the way to go then.
Is it much better than the wizard? - the only thing I can see different is 3G which I dont really need anyway(I dont watch corporate media or TV)

Cheers, I have the knowledge to update my rom now, I just need to know a suitiable one with the minimum of hassle and problems with good apps already installed e.t.c. the rom I have now is fully unlocked and ext rom visibe e.t.c. but it is version 1.1.7.5 I hear there is a great speed dufference in the later revisions - is this correct?

You might want to take a look at what Molski has to offer. He has a fairly clean ROM that is quite stable.

Help Flashing Blackstone With 6.5

Hi Guys,
I have been having a problem when i have been flashing my blackstone with miri's Rom. Whenever i try and boot up the OS the colours are all distorted and weird, and the phone function does not work on the handset. I really want 6.5 on my phone and I was wondering if you could tell me how to fix these issues.

I'd read the tutorials about flashing, since you're not the first person having these problems. Good luck.

Please read the Dummies Guide first, before posting. Every day someone opens a thread just to ask the same question. You need to update your SPL to get all colors. See HERE

I am browsing this forum all morning, now is 3 P.M.
I tried to install one from "shogunr125" that has everything including touch flo but id doesn't work, I hope to hear from him to explain why it doesn't work. If not, can someone give me a link to some other version of Win 6.5 pleeeeaseee... And instructions ofcorse

Excuse me, am I blind. How much WM6.5 Roms are you seen here in this Xperia Tread. Do you have a X1 ?

Sounds like someone who does not apply hardSPL to his X1 before trying to flash a cooked rom...

Come on guys, a new user ....... let's try to give him a hand:
1. READ the fist xperia thread.
2. READ the second xperia thread.
3. etc etc
Basicaly: install hard spl (hard spl is the pretection against flashing these roms)
Find a rom that you like (most of them have few screenshots in the thread) and flash.
Enjoy. Or flash the next one.
Simple i guess ........ but remember ..... READ the threads. Will give you all the ideas you need.

Wheal I have read them... but don't get it really, and yes, I have X1 for a long time... Since it is out there and wanted to update it. I tried to install from that guy as I said but it doesn't go...
I know You probably don't wanna spend your time helping me "noob" but please, how can I do it? I read everything but there is just so many things to do that I get lost... If any possibility that someono wants to help me out and put on my X1 I would like that very much.

The post just above yours details the procedure, and if you look at the stickies, the apps you need are there.
1) Install HardSPL
2) Flash ROM
3) Steal underpants
4) ???
5) Profit!

I can't find it. I searched for that "hardspl" and can't find it.

Ok, I'm sorry that it seems this way, but I really have read lots of things, I'm not stupid or lazy, I really read loads of posts but didn't find this one.
Ok, later I'll try. So basically what I need to do is run 1st this "X1_HardSPL_v1.zip" content and than after that is finished I have to run for example "WM65_ROM_X1i_23060_SB12_Sonblack" rom and that is it.
I'm asking so much questions so that I don't do harm to my device.

If you don`t understand the post from Hard-SPL and flashing roms, plz. let it be. You crash your famous X1. Stand by your WM6 original SE X1 Rom.

Yes you're right. You have to install the hard-spl first and after that you can flash an custom rom to your phone.

so im asking you guys in ur opinions wich rom is good fast stable nd nice looking,
i just want your opinions so i can try those ROMS out, please reply, thnx in advance again.

Strangely the newest roms just result in a boot loop on my Blackstone, have tried 4 different roms which is painful as they each take over 30 minutes to download! Had to resort to the 25th one hence i still have it, link coming!
