I searched but the fix can only be run through adb and i dont use a computer. I seen fresh 2.1 deodexed. If i download this rom do the old lockscreens work or is there any simple fixes/zips for the original fresh toast 2.1?
Flipz is in the process of re-working the vanilla lock zips for Fresh and Fresh Toast 2.1.

Yes the old lockscreens work on the deodexed 2.1 roms.

I wanna that too!
Use a program called Lockbot Free/Pro, it is the ONLY way you will get close to a full Eclair lockscreen on a Donut rom.

You will regret you flashed an Eclair ROM, it is laggy, tried an Eclair claimed to be fast but now revert back to Donut.

actually, if u want a fast stable and battery efficient eclair rom, download xrom 1.0 with 10 mb cfs hack with working wifi/bluetooth; or just download cloverdale's nex^2us or blue haze fully themed xroms bc they have it all included. im using xrom 1.0 with the hacks and its really fast for an eclair. yeah if u like running ten things at once stick to donut. however, xrom 1.0 gets the job done IMO .

and i really want to use some apps based on sense ui rom, like weather widget, msg widget, flickr, etc.
so i downloaded a sense ui rom and dumped the apps i like
use ROOT EXPLORE copied the .apk and .odex files to /systme/app folder
but after reboot my phone, it didn't work
did i doing something wrong?
or there is another way to make it work?

Yes.. you did something very wrong. You didn't search.
Just wait for the Sense UI 2.2 ROM if you want both Froyo and Sense.
Desire ROM 2.2 has been leaked and is fully working I assume, as the devs working on it say it might be out by tonight. Hopefully the Nexus will get a full port by tomorrow... No promises though

Vannilla Eclair 5.0 to be precise.

Anything like that already made? Or could I just pull files from another 2.1 ROM with Sense?

all depends on what ROM you are using...
You have a lot of themes for the CM´s several versions in Android Themes section.Just make sure they are MDPI´s

Yeah I checked them but nothing I need. I think I'll check some tutorials and swap a few PNGs by myself. I'm using Vanilla Eclair, it's based on CM 5.0.8, so 5.0.8 themes should be compatible with it?

I was looking for an aosp 2.1 for my cdma hero. cant seem to find it... just a straight up vanilla, white taskbar, vanilla lockscreen, vanilla messages app, etc, etc.

Try browsing the Themes and Apps section -- there are several AOSP-looking themes and mods in there.
The one down in my signature (Leukay's Oreo Theme) adds the AOSP taskbar and a couple other menu changes to a stock Sense ROM. I know it works in nfinitefx45's ROM cuz I'm using it right now. Give it a shot.
And if you search in the nfinitefx45 Stock ROM thread, there are many posts about some people being able to get the vanilla lockscreen working on it too.

Anything you get here is going to be modified by someone. Your phone was shipped with a black taskbar, Sense UI, and Sense only apps. In order to modify the look of it, it will have to be modified. If you want the stock android apps you can find those and then push them to your phone.
Darch's 2.8 is vanilla android, which is what I thought you wanted.
Hell, forget 2.1, go download and flash CM6. Much better than 2.1.

But you probably won't find anyone with a debloated zipaligned deoxeded version, it's still crap without all the fixes from the custom roms.
Cognition 4.x was close to stock Froyo, but it has since gone custom crazy. Andromeda 1.2 is based on a stock Captivate ROM for the Armani version and while it has some nice tweaks, it is still pretty close in appearance and function to stock, but without all the bloat.

i second the Andromeda 1.2 vote. It is running flawlessly on my cappy, and is what the stock install should have been like (you get the bonus of a georgio armani splash on boot)

It was a limited version of the Captivate designed for Georgio Armani. Electronically, it is the same as our Captivate in every way. Software-wise, it has a customized version of Froyo with some Armani touches like the bootscreen and system font. Andromeda simply removes the carrier bloat and adds performance enhancements like Voodoo lagfix, working GPS and some other nice touches. It runs flawlessly on my Captivate.
For lite and quick, I've always relied on Andromeda or Paragon RC6.
As for just a stock 2.2 without the bloatware, I've never actually seen any.

Yes it is.
Andromeda is 100% flawless. You could flash cognition 4.2.1 non OC. pretty much stock with a few bonuses

Im running cognition 4.1 and it is so close to stock I cant really tell a difference except that it doesnt lag and no bloatware

Ok just to try something, I flashed the zip PG posted. Everything went smooth. The only extra thing I had to do was use super one click to enable non market apps.
One tip I learned: if you use ti backup to remove unwanted apps before resorting, you will save yourself a lot of extra scrolling!
Btw, I am now running at&t 2.2 rooted, sideloading enabled, CWM, voodoo lagfix, matted blue theamed, plumb bob gps fixed, with 6 unlock screens, extended power menu, H (hsdpa) icon, and blackout gingerbread live wallpaper.
Scored 1576 in quadrant.

I think I an explaining this correctly, enabling sideloading allows you to install apps from sources other than the market. Ie: you can DL an apk right to your phone and install it.
