Not Synching, Please help

Hello,
I got my Kaiser on Sep. 10th and have been learning it since. I am new to Windows Mobile (using 6). I have previous experience with Palm software (Treo 650 last & first PDA).
I have not been able to synch my PC to the Kaiser to yet. Synching pictures, music, TV is not an issue because Windows Media Player is working. It's the Contacts, Notes, Tasks that I cannot synch.
When I open the Windows Mobile Device Center the Connection Settings window opens up with the Allow USB & Bluetooth Connections radio buttons. When I hit OK with both Radio buttons selected (USB & Bluetooth), that's it, the window closes and there's no Windows Mobile Device Center that opens up. Task Manager shows no open Windows Mobile Device Center application but does show a Windows Mobile Device Center process, wmdcBase.exe.
What am I missing here? Please help, 4 days & I still do not have my Contacts in this phone.
Thanks,
Phil
Check your firewall. I was having problems, getting stuck on synchronizing and never getting pass that. Funny thing is that my Tmobile wing was working just fine, but when I plugged in the Tytn II, it wouldn't sync.
I got that problem once, when I installed the ActiveSync 4.5.
The Kaiser could not synch with the PC (WinXP).
Here what I did :
- Unplug the Kaiser
- Reinstall ActiveSync 4.5
- Reboot PC
- Soft-Reset the Kaiser
- After both booted up
- Connect the Kaiser to the USB
- Wait ... and wait ! Sometimes it slow
- Finally, it synched

Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)

OK, I searched and searched, followed all the MS instructions and I cannot get VISTA ( Biz edition ) to connect to my (HTC branded) Kaiser.
The "Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote adapter" driver does show up under Network Adapter in Device Manager but WMDC is oblivious to the USB attached device...
Any ideas ?
I remember the first time I connected mine in the exact same setup it took like 10 minutes to find it.
Try running windows update with your kaiser plugged in. If your missing a driver or something it should be able to find and install it.
Sorry guys,
My mistake .. did not have USB connection enabled on Activesync on the phone.
Thanks for your help!

Windows 7

does anyone know how to connect to Windows 7 having issues connecting
Connecting to Windows 7 is same as connecting to Vista. You do not need Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 to connect. Under control panel – internet and network, look for the Windows Mobile Device Centre icon and click on that. This should trigger a step by step solution
Hope this helps

Hi there i am using the Mobile device centre and it’s just not seeing the phone, my Diamond is seen fine.... it’s getting annoying but i can’t seem to get it right, it does make a connection sound when plugging in the USB but there is nothing active to access the phone
The driver is not being installed correctly. Try running Windows Update AFTER connecting the Trinity, and see if that installs the driver.
If not, try turning off Advanced Network under USB to PC, on the phone, and try again.

[Q] Problem syncronizing with Windows 7 (x64)

Hello guys,
I own a htc diamond 2, but recently had to format my computer and installed windows 7 (x64). After this installation and Microsoft office 2007, i installed Windows Mobile Device Center, but when i connect the phone to the computer it installs the update, but does not detect the device thereby precluding their synchronization. I've uninstalled and reinstalled office and windows mobile device center, but the computer still does not detect the equipment. I already consulted the manual, but nothing can cause the equipment to be detected.
Can any one tell me what i'm doing wrong?
Before this installation the computer was running Windows 7 (x86/32) with the same office and all was well
Thank you
This is strange. I own a 64Bit Win7 Pro which doesn't make any trouble.
1st thing I would try is to connect the phone again while being logged on as an administrator, maybe you are a normal user and not allowed to install drivers or something similar.
2nd thing i would try is to delete all active sync connections on PC and on your device. then restart everything and connect them new.
3rd thing to try out is to deactivate under the "USB to PC" option the "fast data synchronization" feature.
4th possibility is to set up both, your computer and your mobile device totally new.
Cheers

Thank you for your reply.
I've run the installation has administrator, and i've the problems i present.
I will follow itch one of your advices trying to solve this problem.
At last if any one don't work i will try the EubeniaUSB or the drivers of the Active Sinc x64 that i've found on two post at the xda forum. (This will work? )
Thank you.
I had the same problem to start with i would suggest doing what i did and find/replace the usb cable as that was what was at fault on mine - these cables are quite cheap and the pins move too easily inside . Try changing to a different or new cable and see what happens

[Q] Can HD7 be shown in Windows Explorer to transfer file without Zune

Hi All,
Can I connect my HD7 via USB & see another removable mass storage drive being shown in Windows Explorer or Device being shown as Mobile Device.
Prior to HD7, I was using Nokia E72, HTC Touch (Elfin) and other phones. On all those phones, I could transfer file directly using Windows Explorer. But not in HD7.
HD7 doesn't even allow file through Bluetooh
Can any one help?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jhonny,
I have Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit OS on my laptop. I downloaded Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows vista 64-bit from Microsoft & installed on my laptop.
I kept my phone in on state, such that it should not switch off display, does not lock up etc..
Downloaded Windows Mobile Device Center App on my phone & started it.
Then I connected phone to Laptop.
WMDC in laptop, didn't connect to my phone.
I tried locating my phone in Laptop's Device Manager and found it is there under 2 devices, Portable Devices & Windows Phone USB Devices.
I thought, since zune is pitching in on connecting phone to laptop, I uninstalled Zune from laptop & tried again to connect.
In WMDC in laptop connection setting also, I selected USB to connect, but in-vain.
Am I missing something?
yes wrong one u downloaded
i think you need to download the one that in the thread in the hacking thread if i'm not wrong.
Hi Ttblondey,
Can you please provide the link.
Thanks,
Rupesh
Your looking for WPDM (Windows Phone Device Manager). Maybe your searching for the previous WMDM (Windows Mobile Device Manager).
