is there a way. ive an important date after jfk's bday and i cannot hide/disable it to view my date. can i have preference over national holidays?

When I tap on Calendar under the clock on the Home screen it ALWAYS show Calendar in Journal view. Irritating!
I tried to change default view in Calendar settings to WEEK but it only applies on the Calendar when you start it from Programs.
Any clue on this one?
I can see the weather function when i click on the day event in the calendar. Anyway to remove that?
Is that a Calendar widget that shows the upcoming events on the main screen? In which it will auto refresh itself once there is a new event being uploaded to the calendar?

I like the Pure Calendar widget.
Right click on your home page and select widget. You probably have a calendar widget already on your phone (depending on which ROM you are running)

Google have the ability to subscribe to other people calendars and show the colors associated those subscribed calendars.
Example:
My calendar - [email protected] - HOME:
- Red: calendar1
- Blue: calendar2
Work calendar - [email protected] - WORK:
- Yellow: calendar 3
- Green: calendar 4
What I did is subscribe to the "WORK" calendar for my "HOME" calendar, so in my "HOME" calendar it will show appointment from the "WORK" calendar.
I noticed that Samsung S-Calendar apps CAN show the colors I setup in Google Calendar, whether it is the "HOME" calendar or ANY subscribed calendar ("WORK").
However, none of the 3rd party calendar apps I use, CalenGoo, Pocket Informant, etc can do the above. The subscribed calendar will show the same color, whatever it is I choose.
Does anyone know of a 3rd party app that can do what S-Calendar do when it comes to color?

Not sure if it does exactly what you want it to, but I use "Business Calendar" and it colours my subscribed calendars correctly as far as I've noticed. It's all over a great calendar app.
Hey i put the at a glance widget from google on my Home screen, but it doesn't show my calendar entries. Only the date. When i first tap on it it asked me whether to open Google calendar or outlook. I said outlook and do always use this. Well i want to switch it but i don't know how. There are no settings, no default settings or anything like that.
Further there was for about half an hour weather information on the at a glance widget but now there are no more weather Infos. I don't know why it was there or why it is gone now.
Anyone who can explain that widget to me?
