[Release 30/09/09] Hero 2 theme for ThrottleLauncher RC3

Hi guys:
This is the new version of Hero Like Theme for ThrottleLauncher.
Now have a lot of improvements thanks to TL RC3.
Its compatible with all resolution( I ask a few members to test it in their devices).

The mode to use this theme was change a little, no more gesture to open pages or open menu box.
This is the instructions:
Unzip the file inside your Setups folder
Some Notes:
the zip have 2 lock.xml
I recommend to use the lock nitrogencontrol.xml if you use nitrogen version 1.1 and if you have installed in main memory. For use that rename lock nitrogencontrol.xml to lock.xml
I you, like me, use nitrogen 1.2 alpha4 so use the default lock.xml.
PLEASE CONFIG FIRST BEFORE USE THE THEME.
PS: I will post the Hero Contact widget in the apart of Widgets HERE.
About the Calendar widget, this is close to work perfect, I recomend to wait to brunoisa10 finish his new script and then the widget will be posted in the respective page.

O.M.G. Can't wait to download and try this later. Have been using Hero 1 with Throttlelauncher RC3 and APBilbo's updated Home.xml so that it scrolls like the Light3D theme. It has become my favorite theme for my Tilt. Looking forward to trying Hero 2. Awesome work!!

What are you having problems with? The instalation or the configuration of the app?
To install the theme just uncompress the zip file and place the contents inside the \Programs Files\ThrottleLauncher\setups\Hero2 folder so there's a file in the path:
\Programs Files\ThrottleLauncher\setups\Hero2\config.xml
Then open ThrottleConfig and select Hero2 in the combo. Reaset the plugin (you can click config to config the theme if you want)... The theme must appear in your today screen .

Also, I have no widgets on the page, where can i find it?
There isn't a widget looks like the clock in hte screenshot.....
Did I do anything wrong? I just copy the whole "Hero2" to setups
Update: I know what causes the problem..... We need to add some widgets before we can scroll....

The solution is to make some changes to the home.xml, but I don't know which script I need to make changes...... Can anyone tell me which line of the script I need to change?

That's right the mod has to be done over the home.xml... Though I think that if you change the height of the plugin in ThrottleConfig the bottom bar will be shown. Go to ThrottleConfig, click the advanced button and uncheck the hide bottombar icon. Ensure the height is changed also. Then reload the plugin.

1 question before I flash, is the theme selected in a menu or once its flashed its on by default? If its on by default, is their any chance of uploading the default theme so we can flash back if we dont like/get bored etc please

I suppose you could just 'update' to the same ROM you're using.

True, Im still a noob at all this sorry

By all means point me to a FAQ...but how do I apply these themes to the phone?

The same way you flash a rom, put the zip in the root of your sd card, boot into recovery mode and select the zipfile to update

Some screenshots would be really nice ;-)

hi. i must be doing something fundamentally wrong. I upgraded to the modaco version 2.6 rom a couple of days ago. I then copied the zip file on this thread for the blackevil theme onto my sd card, went into recovery mode, ran the blackevil zip file, then booted my phone. i'm getting the lockscreen change, but not seeing any other difference to my home screens or the way anything looks.
can anyone tell me what i've done wrong/ missed? cheers

do i need to somehow turn off the HTC sense?

hi what do i rename the zip file as when i flash it as it does not say black magic .zip on recoevery screen

You need to rename it to "update" and leave the .zip

if you rename the blackevil.zip file to update.zip, then flash it like a new rom, won't it completely replace the modaco 2.6 rom?

no it only replaces what it needs to.

ok thank you. so how do you keep changing between the themes? do you have to laboriously keep renaming the modaco rom and the blackevil rom update.zip via your pc then reboot them? is there a quicker way, such as using an app, to switch between themes?

I think you have to flash the ROM again, so reflash 2.6 if thats what your using, but please correct me if Im wrong
It would be really handy if someone could please upload the default theme please

Thanks to fl4r3 for reminding me that I forgot to make a update.zip that changes only the apps icon's
Info :
This was signed and made into Windows XP SP2 so It won't cause any problems to your phone.
To install rename it to update.zip , transfer it to the root of your sd card , boot into custom recovery and flash it.
No wipe is needed of course.

Thanks guys. I will do my best to finish this and release it as soon as possible. They just look small on the phone and thats my main problem. Another problem is that I still have school and this week is our last one so we will have much homework
If anyone finds better icons for new theme it will be much appreciated...
Oh and I think I must make an iPhone theme since everything can be changed I think...I will work on the iPhone theme at XMAS

theres no really need to, however if you to its a simply update.zip job just make sure you leave your phone alone during the process

Now I have changed many icons Try and tell me if you want any differences or something.
You can also offer icons from picnic that you think are better or suit for a HTC icon.

I don't know. You can try and see if you brick your phone (I suggest not do flash it).

The icons look great!
However, I had the lockscreen without the 'bar' installed but when I used your files it installed on top of it. Is there any way for you to make the update zip without affecting the lockscreen files?

btw the lock screen arc is just darker so nothing too special there
just comment if anything needs fixing/adding
if someone wants this ported for 2.8 (modaco) i can do that too [theoretically it doesnt have to be ported, but do a nandroid backup for sure if you try this theme on 2.8 ]

first of all thanxs for this, I have a question regarding how to do u pack framework-res.apk ? i tried making some changes and after saving it in the apk, the size goes down and i go into a bootloop. anyhelp would be appreciated. thanxs.
Edit: strange thing is I just used winrar on windows for the first time, only replaced the png and it worked. I tried everything on mac to change the images in a zip and non of them worked. So i guess windows PC does have it usefulness after all. lol

haha normally it wont even start installing if you dont sign the whole update.zip...
someone made a nice prog to make it easy to do so iv been using it, but im surprised yours actually installed if you didnt sign it! :s

i just used ur framework-res.apk, wanted to try different flavor for battery notice, i just swapped the .png files and push'ed it through and reboot, no FC and bootloops, hehe. I didn't do mess with the whole recovery/update proces

oh right on, glad it worked! im thinkin about changing the battery icon too

Yeah. Copy to root in your sdcard, reboot in recovery mode (home + power) and flash zip.

Works on Modaco-3.1?

I´ve tested in Modaco 3.1 and works fine! The toolbar clock don´t show.

In the firstboot, wait about 3 seconds , put your pin code, wait about 15 seconds and it will configure itself the time and language.Follow some steps (to configure your gmail account if you want) and after that, reboot for a normal use

i'd like to differ... it doesn't have htc dialer.... something that i like the most.... the only reason i don't use a AOSP rom is that the dialer and everything is so dark and dingy and not so attractive.... bt then thats just me... any ways good rom ... keep it going..

Ergh. You need to have 2.X.X.X recovery to install this rom. Either fastboot it or get it from rom manager and temporarily boot to it from rom manager to install the rom.

as he said, with recoveries higher that 2.5 , you'll only be able to install roms with android 2.3

Perform a Wipe Data in Clockworkmod before flashing a new ROM. Thus, perform a Wipe, then try reinstalling.
