950 is more of the UV, not the OC. You can OC the kernel passed 950 yes. Which kernel depends on what you're looking for.

What oc application/possibility can I use best to get the 1,2 & 1,4 Ghz oc on the TAB running on Roto JMI.
Should be in general.

The market has setcpu, which is very popular, but the oc roms sometimes have a voltage control app included.

Okay so I have been looking EVERYWHERE for kernels to overclock my OG Droid... Cant find any, and the old ones that I found would not flash in CWM, it kept saying "Cannot open file (bad)" Any ideas or any links to OC kernels would be nice.

Thanks a bunch, I flashed an older LV Kernel for 1100 mhz but the phone would boot and restart when loading setcpu so I'll look when I get home. Thanks so much!

Which one should I use? LV, SV or IV?
Yeah CorCor hasn't released a new kernal in a while, he was supposed to be making one for DC but I don't think it was ever finished, or if we are ever going to get it. and you should play around with different voltages all Droid's react differently. Mine can handle ULV but your's may not be able too, start with SV and then work your way down to LV and see how it works

I flashed an 1100 mhz LV kernel once and it booted up but once SetCPU profiles started, it rebooted. Is this bad?
try lowering the speed if it's above 800mhz you might have it clocked too high

I have it at 1000 MHz right now but I want it to go to 1200

I can't seem to find ChevyNo1's kernels, or any others, downloadable, anywhere.

no, because our device is not OC capable..... some developers said, its too dangerous with our CPU.

you seem very knowledgeable on the topic perhaps you should try getting into making an OC kernel
there is a thread that one of the guys started working on an OC kernel
have a search through it and see what you can do

i've changed the values in the frequency table (the highest frequency i tried to compile was CPU @ 1.1GHz and GPU @ 350mhz or 400Mhz i can remember it was around +50MHz then the stock frequency , go slow, too high values can be very dangerous) on the kernel sources but i had some truble compiling the kernel and even if i compiled the kernel the network drivers wouldnt work...(see the instructions on how to compile and how to fix the drivers in the kernel sources From SAMSUNG).
anyway i discontinued my work due to a certain "comment" i didnt like and i have no intention of start developing a public release.

Sad to see you stop developing but really just ignore them, just because someone says you suck or whatever and you stop doing it, its really not worth it

I was just disassembling my GT-S5830i, and then I saw something weird. The main processor is a BCM21552. So NOT a BCM21553!!
Could this be the reason that the libs don't work properly in ROMs build from source? And such things... Like overclocking...

Hi I'm working on custom kernel for our devices. Right now it's upstreamed to 3.10.107, init.d is enabled and also there are some new governors added, probabably I will release it today (I want to make some patches in gpu drivers). And I have question to you guys. What should be added to kernel? (pls. Dont say overclocking ?)
BTW. Can somebody send here 3dmark score on stock not modified rom? (by not modified I mean without performance tweaks so roms like crossover etc. are welcome.

Maybe I'm wrong but what I understand about the interrupt of doze in aospa ROM is because of Wi-Fi wakelocks, that is related to kernel, could you fix that? And could you add some governors to improve battery life. Thanks

XD I will try to make kernel that allows oc later, you know that im beginner I'm gonna update gpu drivers today but pls dont compare gpu score by antutu, better use 3Dmark. I will explain why later.

Please take no offense, the only serious thing that I meant there was that I'm still around even though there's nothing I can do without a device. It's good to know that there's still people interested and willing to release something for this phone.
