Okay so I have been looking EVERYWHERE for kernels to overclock my OG Droid... Cant find any, and the old ones that I found would not flash in CWM, it kept saying "Cannot open file (bad)" Any ideas or any links to OC kernels would be nice.
Slayher makes good kernels. http://android.antbox.org/slayher/kernels
Also check http://peteralfonso.com as he's done some Droid kernel work as well.

Thanks a bunch, I flashed an older LV Kernel for 1100 mhz but the phone would boot and restart when loading setcpu so I'll look when I get home. Thanks so much!

Yeah CorCor hasn't released a new kernal in a while, he was supposed to be making one for DC but I don't think it was ever finished, or if we are ever going to get it. and you should play around with different voltages all Droid's react differently. Mine can handle ULV but your's may not be able too, start with SV and then work your way down to LV and see how it works

I flashed an 1100 mhz LV kernel once and it booted up but once SetCPU profiles started, it rebooted. Is this bad?
try lowering the speed if it's above 800mhz you might have it clocked too high

I know bro!!!! I was pumped when I saw Cyanogen comment on twitter that new source code was up I ran over to the HTC site and there it was...the beautiful source code lol
Just in case by some freak of nature something happened to the link I downloaded the source code already lol I have no clue what to do with it I'll just hold on to it for safe keeping.

hell yeah!
Amazing news! I love CyanogenMod but certain limitations kept me from using it, so I switched to sky raider. Anxious to go back to CM6 though. This and s_off soon made my day.
Thank you, devs, for all the amazing work you all put into this phone!

basically with this we can now have some great stuff going on
1. CM6 will most likely fully support our phone now
2. we can have UV/OC kernels, which allow our cpu to be faster, while not using as much battery (theoretically)
3. whatever else the awesome devs out there can come up with
4. ???????
5. Profit (of course)

Do a quick Google search for Hyda kernel
Hydra kernels for 2.1 were great, undervolting increased battery life. There are also undervolt overclocked kernels as well from hyda.
If you are running 2.2 don't install a 2.1 kernel.
It is cool that the kernel source is out now, more goodies on the way!

While definitely good news, the bad news is that it's the kernel source from the first Froyo leak (7/27), not our current 8/1 version.
Will this help in any way to help fully unlock nand?

They might not have updated the kernel between the two versions.
My kernel-fu is weak, or this source blows. Probably the first.
I am merely disabling perflock and compiling. The kernel works, wifi works, and all that, but when the screen powers off, it comes back to a black screen with a lit white line at the top.
*Sigh*
This is based on the 959d source, hopefully closer to our phones and hopefully better on battery. It's using the same patches as the Dragon kernel posted earlier, speedmod, oc, fast scaling, voodoo sound.
Stock clock: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7320380/Dragon-Kernel-959d-v1.0.zip
OC 1.28Ghz: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7320380/Dragon-Kernel-959d-OC-v1.0.zip
These should be considered experimental. I have run them both for about an hour, so far so good.

I used the Dragon kernel from the i9000 source. The OC version never worked, but the non-OC version worked extremely well.
Same issue it appears with the 959d source. i don't have issues with other OC kernels...any ideas why this would be happening?

You need to run the BLN control app. It was supposed to be installed with the kernel. Just open the app and "Activate BLN". If the app wasn't installed for you, you can download it here.

It's probably the type of OC, they aren't all the same. If you have an OC mod that works good for you, and you want to see it in my kernel or any other, you need to get that dev to release the source. Some don't, and I can't reproduce what they do if I don't have the code. This OC is based on a patch from the i9000 forums, it works, but is less universal than some of the others on Vibrant hardware.
For the record, my source is posted here: https://github.com/travistabbal
I'm uploading the source for the 959d kernels now.
Great work
I think u actully did it with this one, the battery seems to be way better then the last 2.7 kernel. Im running oc and voodo
im on di11igafs 5.2 newest rom with Firebirds newest kernel flashed. I want to switch to SetrioNs kernel here for some good overclocking. I am unsure which to use and what the difference between his normal and XT versions are. i tried flashing the newest 1.6ghz XT SetrioNs but it freaked out my phone even in recovery menu after 20 seconds it would freeze up after about 20 seconds. Do i need to disable the lagfix in the recovery menu and or something else first? any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks

Thats not what I asked about nor did I try to set it at 1.6 ghz. The phone wouldnt even boot long enough for me to change the voltage control settings. So I suppose i should rephrase my question so I dont get another answer like this one. I would like to use SetrioNs kernel, im using Firebirds kernel right now. Are there any steps i need to take in order to properly flash setrions kernel so that i dont have the problems I had previously?

Party pooper.
I know right? Woot woot.
Ok, sorry man. Honestly I would suggest downloading the Paragon rom and yanking the kernel out of that. It is much more up to date and allows oc.as high as 1.6. I have used that one without issue. Haven't tried setirons in quite a while so I don't know what may be going on.
Easiest way is to just put the rom zip in your sd card then use sgs kernel flashed app and select the rom zip. It will extract the kernel and flash it for you. Might want to disable lagfix first as sometimes problems occur when jumping back and forth between firebird and others.
Use voltage control 3.0 to control that kernel as well.

The kernel will be zimage. You can just copy that file straight to your sd card and the kernel flasher app will work with that as well.
Also it would seem that paragon is now using speedmods kernel. would you happen to be able upload the kernel you are using for me?

Faux Kernel. Faux has setup a kernel (Ultimate) to overclock your Moto to 1.9 ghz. However, I personally don't see a gain with the overclock so I stuck to stock clock speeds.

What is "almost bricked"? Why don't you just say that you were scared and not confident enough to OC. Bricking a device is not that easy!
I am using Faux's kernel with 1.9 GHz with Intelliactive, the phone is just as stable as it was on default clock rate and there is a definite improvement, while opening apps, scrolling through the long list of Tweetcaster.
