Does anyone have it - the *latest one*, which is 2.33?

Dont forget, you wont be able to flash your Orange HTC Touch 3G with this ROM unless you hardspl the thing.
It does work, cos i've done it to mine. The best thing about this ROM, is that the WIFI works properly.

Do I need to use customruu (which I got from the hardspl page I think) or can I just run the built in installer? I have already hardspl'd my phone.

if hardspl is done, then you should be able to install the ROM from it's own installer.

It should work AFIK, as I was running the HK WWE rom on mine before the Wolves4ever kindly posted the s/n (which he may wish to delete now).
I have the WWE EU rom which I can upload if anyone wants.

Just wondring why you want to change to the latest WWE ROM. The reason I ask is that I recently updated to this ROM and regret it! As far as I can see, it offers no improvments to the original but has caused me problems.
Firstly, it keeps "loosing" my SD card. I used a 16Gb Sandisk in my Jade sucessfully for the 8 months before the update. As soon as I installed the new ROM it couldn't find the card and worse, it corrupted it badly. I had to format it for it to work but now, about 1 month later its not finding the card again. HTC support arn't interested as they say the phone is only able to use up to 4Gb. I'm currently using a 4Gb card to see if this works but I don't see why I have to downgrade! We report back to see if this works.
Secondly, I think the battery life isn't as good as before. I haven't done acurate tests but it now struggles to do 2 days between charges, when before it did about 2.5 days.
I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had these problems. You have been warned!

I have had a few probles: the ROM freezes and crashes. This did not happen with the HK WWE version someone has posted here.
However, it is a vast improvement over the orange branded software.
I have not had the problems you refer to.

Unlucky you! I upgraded to the latest ROM mainly 'cos the Orange ROM stuffs up the Wifi. All seems to be fine and the 2gb SD works fine. As for battery life, cant say its any better or worse. It was pretty poor before anyway.

Error
This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.
This limit is reached.
To download this file, the uploader either needs to transfer this file into his/her Collector's Account, or upload the file again. The file can later be moved to a Collector's Account. The uploader just needs to click the delete link of the file to get further information.

Latest official ROM is not 2.33, it's 2.32.401.2 (44800), device dates it to 03/25/09. On the website it's listed as 2009/04/14.

Hi guys
I have an Orange Jade 110 and sufferred the Unique / no wifi problem. Orange support were no help whatsoever.
Using the excellent info on this forum, I installed hard spl and then decided to try the HTC asia 2.33.721.1 rom. unfortunately I have lost where I downloaded it from but I think there is a link on here somewhere.
- I downloaded the file & used the program's installer to flash my Rom - all orange stuff now gone and I have a fully working phone again that uses wi fi as a priority before using the sim data connection ie like my tytn 11 kaiser

Help Im confused

This forum is confusing...i need to update my rom to whatever is the latest. Using SE update service it says i have the latest software but i doubt it!. Im with tmobile if that helps. Also, im hearing about windows 6.5 being out...how do i get it for free. I need one on one help through IM if possible.
Ive tried to read all the threads and forums but still dont get it. Ok, im slow but can i get help please?

You need to do search my friend. Whatever your question is, try to search and you will find the answer.
In your case, if you like to flash your device to windows 6.5, you'll first need to do HardSPL. You can find the "how to" in this thread and this thread.
Then, you can choose and download any ROM you like. There are plenty of choices.
Just follow the instruction to flash the ROM....I think every instruction is clearly enough to understand.

I did search and i downloaded the hardSPL program but I didnt use it because it was going to download an older rom than the one i have right now.
How do you guys know which ROM to use? I just want the latest one.

that's your decision you got a huge variety of ROM in the forum from different chefs... so check out, read and see what is better for you and your phone... GL !

before flash any custom ROM you have to do hard-spl JUST ONCE THOUGH, have fun

1. you got the latest update for your ROM from SE. that means you are on a "official ROM" or "stock" ROM.
it's suppose to be running on windows mobile 6.1.
2. there is NO "official" 6.5 ROM for the X1 (yet)
3. when you see ROMs saying they are running on 6.5 they are called "custom" ROMs.
custom roms, as the word suggests, are customized by great chefs here on xda to maximize the capabilities of X1 and windows mobile,
that includes the latest updates either from SE or windows (or HTC)
4. there are also 6.1 custom roms
5. the date any custom rom is released suggests it is the latest.
6. there are different "cooks" who may release the same build/update
my suggestion:
try each rom one at a time. sooner or later you'll find one that will suit your taste.
(i think this is the norm here on xda ). and imho, this is how it should be.
if you want the latest agent_47 will not fail you. he's almost always has the latest updates.
if you want a simple & stable rom go for jack's. (with multi-language support)
for pure X1 & wm, look for spikegotti's rom or gtrab's
later you can try itje's, rotastrain's, killer8nl's, etc which are all great.

Well, if you use the goldcard method, it will definitely work because I've went from WWE to Asian version once, and no problem making update.
BUT TRUST ME, YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT.
The official WWE version has a new bootloader and if you wan't to root you device AFTER the upgrade, you can't do it directly...you will have to downgrade to 1.31.xx version to be able to do it...So think wisely...In my opinion...root the device and install MDJ version...it's stable and updated.

Hey guys, tried this with 2nd different cards and neither worked. I'm wondering if there were any extra steps i was missing or if my cards are just no good?
If so, what's the cheapest card I can get and from where?

Well I put the card in my phone, formatted it. Plugged it in to the computer, set it to charge only with debugging enabled and ran the program. I set it to try mmc1 and mmc0 neither of which worked.
I also tried following a few tutorials and none of those worked either.
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not but I don't think I am which is why I think I need a new sd card.

There is definitely something wrong between the communication from the PC to the phone...although i can see what...but if it doesn't retrieve anything in either mmc0 and mmc1...then it's not connecting to the phone properly i think...

See and I don't know why. I'm using the cable that came with the phone and I even had the sdk installed. Gah! I need help haha

Here's a link to the latest 6.5 ROM though I don't recommend it as I saw your post whilst looking for a replacement to it. After flashing it 3 times, it's the worst ROM ever that HTC have released and I've had 4 of their devices!

yes, only need golden card with s-on & no need for it with s-off devices .

Can you please post images of how the Rom looks like, also can you post some details on how to install it, im kind of new to the whole thing

dude this is a stock official ROM ... it's just like the normal ROM but with arabic support and interface so there's nothing special about it

I'm wondering if someone can post the recently updated official ROM:
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_ARA_2.30.415.1_Radio_20.2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M_release_199399_signed.exe
I found the file name on AxeBox support FTP, but I was not able to get it.
In fact, if someone also has the recent the OTA update of this ROM, it will also work. This ROM has a better font and Radio.
