Help needed! Froyo Rom experiences with foreign font support.

Dear Nexus One user,
I have post my original post in HTC Desire Forum.

Dear all Guru here,
I have the HTC Desire and I am living in Germany. I would like to read and write Thai with my Desire but I do not want to root.
My question are
1. Will the Android 2.2 support the Thai font?. If yes, I do not need to root it right?
2. If there is any Thai Rom available, can I just flash it? I cannot find it though.
The main thing is I do not want to root it. Thank you for any help in advance

I was suggested to post the 1st question here as some of you may have a chance to use the Froyo already.

Yes. 2.2 has DoroidSansThai.ttf
in system/fonts.

ROM Upgrade for HTC Tattoo (Orange) Release Date: 2010-06-01

Today i've seen this on Htc site: ROM Upgrade for HTC Tattoo (Orange)
Release Date: 2010-06-01 ,and i'm wondering if someone could just download it and put it on some server like rapid share or megaupload so i can see what version is in there .
Hope that has a 2.1 Android ,if so we will have a good rom to customise and the drivers to do a clean rom with Eclair.
Please orange users ,download it and upload to some server.

Are you sure about that? There is some Rom specification on Htc site?

Ok I have flashed this update. I have goldcard created but Recovery no longer works as I expected.
So can anyone tell me how to get recovery+root back?
The Kernel version is 2.6.29-g6561203.
And yes it's definately 1.6.

Your out of luck... you should flash already rooted version from lgstoian in other thread.

A ready rooted version of the Rom released this morning by HTC???
Is there no way to use the gold card to recover?
Will the 1 click root+recovery work?

i have tested my HTC Tattoo its 100% Working and Unlock My Mobile

Is it me or is this new rom faster? Has anyone else noticed this?

Its pretty cool.

That's pretty neat. I think I'm gonna switch Cthulhu rom to this.

1-You DONT NEED any root to install it ,,its official rom (RUU)
2- if u rooted your mobile ,,you will lose rooting because its official rom (RUU)

Instead, wait for someone to extract the rom.zip and flash that via ClockWork Mod, so you keep root.

Need a stock Rom which supports European languages for my n1

First of all i want to thank everyone who shares their knowledge with others.
I tried to read a lot of topics to understand basics of android. i think i am going pretty good but i need you guys help at this point. i couldn't find an answer or i didn't know how to search.
I have a n1 with froyo 2.2. i purchased it in eBay and it shipped to me from USA I recently used this passimg.zip

This stock rom worked for me, I can receive updates and everything but the rom doesnt have Turkish LANGUAGE option. I think i need a stock rom which supports european languages.
anyone can give me an idea how i can reach the stock rom which has turkish language in it?
ps: i am planning to install this new rom to my phone with micro sd card. please advise me if it is impossible.

Problem is you can't get a stock ROM with the European language the only one that has one is the vodaphone ROM and there is not passimg for that ROM so you will need to root to install a custom ROM with the language you are looking for. Cyanogen has most languages so if I had to make a recommendation that would be it.

[Q] How to switch back to Stock-Rom?

Hello Guys,
i want to sell my Incredible S and now its my turn to flash it back to the original HTC-Stock Rom. Till now i used the Android Revolution Rom with a EXT4 Clockwork / Recovery Mode . The Incredible was bought in Germany so the Languange of the Stock-Rom should be German or Multilanguange.
I allready checked this Thread :

but i dont know which of those roms is the one iam looking for nor how to flash it back. Do i simply use a RUU-Installer or do i flash it like i did with the custom rom?

You can just flash the RUU. I managed to get my phone back to stock that way. Others needed an extra step, changing the hboot first. I did not. But use the search function. This question is already asked and answered many times now...

Yes the WWE ROM is also multi-language with German.

I used this one:

This is the newest Stock rom... Good luck! Hope you will succeed..

i tried the RUU-Installer wallytax mentioned. It worked like a charm!
i just had to install HTC-Sync Software and after that the Update went trough without any problem.
