internet connection problem - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I have this strange problem connecting to the internet:
My situation.
I have a HTC TYTNII that connects to the internet using Vodaphone in the Netherlands.
Its my business phone and we have special settings for our phones internet connection.
- connection is trough "Cellular line (GPRS, G3)" and an accespoint "business.blabla"
then
- we have proxy settings, but only for "HTTP" in which we have to set our username and password
The strage thing is that some programs connects with no problem while others seem to activate the 3G connection, but then dont connect for some reason.
programs that do connect:
- Internet explorer
- outlook email
programs that dont connect:
- QuickGPS
- SeaSGEE.exe (quick position for GPS)
- Opera mobile and mini
please help. Anybody know what the problem could be?

WiFi and GPRS conflict on my Tytn II I need Help

I am no longer able to connect to the Internet via my home WiFi network. I am able to WiFi connect to the network without any problems, but when I try to use any application that accesses the Internet the phone looks for a GRPS connection. I do not have a data account attached to my sim as I live in Australia, and as far as that sort of thing go, we are a backwater…
The WiFi connection and access was previously working fine until I tried to disable the GPRS from trying to connect, as this would routinely bring up messages informing me that a GPRS connection could not be made. I do not know what settings I have changed but I cannot seem to reverse the situation.
I have soft reset a number of times, I have re-run the connection wizard, etc my current settings are as follows:
WiFi:
Wireless
Configure Wireless Networks –
.MyWirelessNetwork Connected
Configure Wireless Network-
Network Name: MyWirelessNetwork
Connects By: The Internet
This is a hidden network: unchecked
Configure Wireless Authentication-

No connections have been set up here

Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: Vodafone Internet Settings
Programs that automatically connect to a Private network should connect using: My Work Network

I do not know if this is all the info need to sort this out, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have done allot of customising and I really don't want to have to a Hard Reset. I can connect through all applications, if I am connected by USB.
Thanks
First you need to make sure your connection is set to use My Work Network as first priority. Next you need to make sure that the WiFi connection connects to WORK NOT the INTERNET. probably your problem, did the same thing on my 8125

Hi there,
Can someone please help by advising me on how to overcome this problem.
If I broadcast my SSID, the device connects fine, but when I stop broadcasting, the device will show that the network is unavailable. I did check the "This is a hidden network" checkbox option, in the settings.
Configure Wireless Network-
Network Name: MyWirelessNetwork
Connects By: Work
This is a hidden network: CHECKED
Configure Wireless Authentication-

Data Encryption: WPA2-PSK

Please help,... many thanks!
Kind regards,

Touch Diamond P3700

Hi all,
We have a strange problem here: A two different wi-fi networks. First of them - router is connected directly to ISP - no problem. All HTC Dimond touchs with WM6 (we have 3) works fine. In second network have a proxy server, because router is connected to internal LAN network. When we try to set up a proxy server form settings-connections-...-Add proxy server - it's look lik device can not remeber a proxy settings. Or it can not recognize them correctly. Accourding our test - access to internal resources in LAN network is OK, but access to Internet wich require Proxy was fail.
thank you in advance

[Request] how to make MSN messenger connect with wifi

hi guys, i connect my diamond with Wifi, so i can surf internet explorer and open googleMap and everything, but the problem is in MSN messenger, when i try to connect he use the 3G connection and not the wifi, and i dont have the 3g, in result msn give me error message "cant conenct" . so how can i make msn connect with wifi
thanks for advance guys
UP PLEASE...
you have to disable the 3G connexion in your connexion settings.
Either delete it, either disable it, for instance using diamond tweak software.
I guess you've been using automated connexion settings (in wm 6.1) when you first started your Diamond.
So it installed your operator 3G settings in your registry and this is now your default internet connexion.

[Q] Problems with IE & WiFi...

I can not connect to the internet with the WiFi on my Tilt 2.
Configure a new Connection in Start> Settings> Connections> Connections (so do not take the GPRS or 3G)
My connection at work using Proxy (I added the Connection Proxy to create "Internet")
I try to browse with IE or Opera and not connected.
I tried to connect to open wireless mall and I could not surf the Internet (no proxy settings or IPs).
Synchronize Tilt 2 with the PC (via ActiveSync) and if you can navigate (because when you synchronize the PC, shares the Internet)
Does anyone know why this happens?
I have read that is related to the configuration of the power (battery power), Is it true?
THANK YOU.
