Hello guys and girls, i am new to this whole rom flashing and i managed to flash Energys Rom with the awsome help of the Flash Rom for dummies. Energy has just released a new ROM and i want to update it to that one. What i want to know is do i only have to flash the the new rom from the instruction USPL5 in the guide or do i have to go through the whole proccess of changing the SPL version and updating the usb drivers. Any help would be very appreciated.

You have to follow the whole procedure described in the awsome help of Flashing ROMs for Dummies.

if you used USPL to flash your device, then you'll have to use USPL again to flash to a different ROM. if you used HardSPL to flash your device, then you can just flash away!
Ok that is all i needed to know. Thank you, Im glad i checked first.
Glad you found your answer, but there was no need to create a new thread for your query. All you need to do was ask your query within Dummies guide thread.

Flash the Radio with the link provided here
Code:

( scroll down to see the Radio links )
After you flash the radio, reboot and wait until it boots back into recovery, then flash the ROM. Enjoy. Oh, remember to wipe everything first before u start flashing stuff
k i used the ere27 radio now i flashed it then wpe then installed cyanogen rom 5.7 seems to be working great??? thanks alot!!!!!!
if i decide to use 2.2 without radion update i can just flash it by wiping and then flashing it right???
My question basically is do i have to downgrade to 2.1 using odin to flash to stock. I am trying to flash a cuscustom rom or to even get cwm working since i am running stock froyo which does not allow you to run unsigned zip files.....so my only option flash to 2.1 and work up from there? Please help!
slashing to stock 2.1 is pretty simple, and will work for you, but ... give this thread a read.

Wow I feel like a horse's ass for asking this but it's probably been a year since the last update I flashed, and I've googled and googled for info but I'm googled out. I also checked the dev section but I dont see what I'm looking for so forgive my stupid question: I'm getting the incessant 2.3.6 OTA notification so I need to update to 2.3.6, I'm on 2.3.4 I think it's a stock version. I tried flashing the 2.3.6 update zip that i downloaded, that didn't work and from what I think I remember that was a stupid thing to try anyway. I'm pretty sure I'm looking for a full 2.3.6 stock rom/build/zip, but I've had no luck in my search. Basically I just want the latest rooted full stock rom to flash. My bootloader is unlocked or I would honestly just unroot and install the OTA, I've no use for root anymore anyway. Can anyone throw me a bone? Thanks

or
if you want back to stock, flash this (in recovery or in HBOOT as PASSIMG.ZIP, whichever way you want):

All the guides for flashing are in the Wiki, please read before further questions. Thanks.
