What are the best setting for the overclock widget (Screen on, Screen off, Adavance settings). I'm using ALOYSIUS 2.1.
I am running aloysius 2.1 as well and don't bother with overclock widget..It automatically clocks up to 710mhz. At that speed I get 4.8 mflops in linpack, at 768 with overclock widget i get 5.1. Not that significant of a difference for the decrease in battery life.

I'm running Jus10o's 768 for DC on a frankenstein job and I decided to not use an overclock app. I don't know what the scaling defaults to and it's not a concern. My phone is faster than ever and my battery life has been great.
Ok Thanks Guys, for your help
Hi, someone have sucessfully OC the Xperia X10 ?
What is the best way to do it ?
At my side Overclock widget return alway the stock frequency but no OC...
Thank you.

I am running the OC kernel on emmc froyo, I have it set up with setCPU to 1ghz with on demand settings. with set on boot.
I thought there was more control over the overclock besides a max/min slider.
Is it better on conservative or on demand or performance?
Looking for quick stability.

OC settings for Phiremod v5.1
Ok, since I can't yet post in the Dev section, I am going to ask my question here and am tagging the creator of the thread there.
I recently switched from UD 3.1.2 to Phiremod v5.1. I flashed the 1.1 OC kernel because the 1190 kernel seemed to lockup on me once I set it to 1190. Tried running quadrant in several different configs, I think the best score I got was around 1230, much lower than the 1700-2000+ scores I saw in the thread. Can someone help me with the settings?

Make sure you installed the right Overclock kernel for your rom.
Ok i am currently running on dlevs 4.2 with the latest talon kernel and i have been experimenting with undervolting no overclock and i was wondering is there a widget that will just tell you what CPU speed u are running currently. There is one speed that my phone becomes a little unstable and i want to know what speed that is so i can up the mv
HELLO AND SALAM SATU MALAYSIA
Since i was newbie about android,
i try to overclock my Xperia X8.
so i went to market and i found Antutu CPU Master.
the problem is i found something that i never heard before.::::::
"GOVERNOR"
could someone told me..what is governor actually...
and what different better the governor module?
i only found about smartass..the other module..i didnt find in xda forum.
i hope someone could help me here..before i accidentally brick my phone.
Cpu governor is control the Cpu freq.
- The OnDemand governor is the default option used by Android. It scales the CPU speed between the minimum and maximum speeds depending on CPU load. If the system needs more speed, the kernel will rapidly scale up the CPU speed.
- The Conservative sets the CPU speed in a similar way to the Ondemand governor, but scales the CPU up much less rapidly. This would theoretically save battery power, but may lead to less responsiveness.
- The Userspace governor is currently useless. It’s another way for applications to set the CPU speed that setCPU does not use.
- The Performance governor always keeps the CPU at the maximum set frequency.
Additionally, he makes reference to another option, which is not currently part of the setCPU app, so I am assuming that this is one that was removed in later versions.
- The Powersave governor always keeps the CPU at the minimum set frequency.
- Except for “Userspace,” no matter which governor you set, the CPU will always stay within the bounds of the maximum and minimum speeds you set in setCPU.

I'm not using any app. I overclocked in my system (alfs+GDX). My governor is OnDemand. Min 129mhz - max 748 mhz.

so far,i didnt find any bug.
wifi n vib work very well with my linuxperia arch v1 rom.
i use antutu benchmark..i get 1881..
superb ..thanks a lot.
1881 good. Do you like LinuXperia v1 ? Come soon LinuXperia Esca Arch 3 ( overclock, bravia hack, xloud, dsp manager vs )

Hey guys can someone share what's the best profile and configuration to double the battery life in our devices using setCPU..
Thanks in Advance!
Sent from my CSL-MI410 using XDA App
Hi there,
I think, it depends on how is your settings now. You can try 500 mhz and disable mobile data first.
hmm.. okay.. will 500Mhz double the life and also give a decent performance??
i'm more concern on the voltage control.
can everyone share their fine profile for voltage?
btw, my setcpu setting were recommended by CacingKalung.
25mhz and 1125mhz with smartassv2.

The following works for me all the time
Main Profile - MAX - Dont set it all the way to OC if you are using any of the modded kernels, keep it just above 1Ghz, i set at 1200.
MIN - around 600. Use SmartassV2, if unavailable use Performance.
Turn on Profiles and set 2 important profile
Screen Off - MAX & MIN - 122Mhz. Priority 90%, Set governer Conservative
In Call - MAX - Around <=500, MIN = Around 300, Priority - 100, Set governer Performance. This is to avoid any lags when call comes in
With this I am able to stretch the battery easily to 1.5 days. I have observed the performance to be uniform whether on CM7 or MIUI.
Additionally I also configure Adv Task Killer Pro - Always on, Kill Task when screen off, and dont forget to set Ignore for - SetCPU.
This combo of SetCPU and Task Killer works for me ! Try and see if it meets your expectations
How are you able to set exact values of 122 MHz or 300/500 MHz?
On stock ROM, SetCPU only allows for a slider to control the frequency which doesn't allow for precision setting since after about 368 MHz the slider only goes to around 700+ MHz skipping all the frequencies possible in between.

Im using SET CPU and the ondemand governer gives very good battery life. I keep the min speed to 122 MHZ and Max to 1024 MHZ.
Made three profiles for screen off, temp >40deg and In call. Screen off profile kept to 122MHZ, certainly improved my battery by leaps and bounds.
Hi i recently download setCPU and created profiles......for samsung galaxy aceS5830
1. Screen on: Max 800MHz and 122 Min, Governer-ondemand
2. Screen off: Max 245 Min122, Governer-Powersaver
enabled the above profiles....but still i am facing problems like menu slow loading and any application is taking time to respond...
Kindly help me how can i improve the processor speed and battery save...
Thanks in advance
Unless youre using a OC Kernel you wont probably be able to get much better performance with SetCPU. Try light weight ROMs or RAM scripts like V6 Supercharger.

what is OC kernel......how i can do that pls help me.....
OC = Overclock.
I wouldn't recommend using profiles for a newbie!
Try the following settings instead. Minimum frequency ~ 250
Maximum frequency-Anything between 800-850
Governor - smartass/smartassv2
Don't be a noob. Be a newbie..!!
Details here.

Overclock..I wouldn't recommend that though.Could mess up your phone if you don't know what you are doing
