Froyo lock and unlock sounds on 2.1 - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering if there was a way to have the unlock and lock sounds from froyo on 2.1? Including the options in the sound settings to disable/enable the sound.

I'm running the Froyo test build on an unrooted device. What lock and unlock sound?

They are located here on my Nexus running 2.2:
/system/media/audio/ui/Unlock.ogg
/system/media/audio/ui/Unlock.ogg

Home screen auto-rotation help

Can anyone point me how to disable auto rotation in home screen on Caynogen build. That's only thing I hate in his tremendous builds.
settings -> sound and display -> orientation I too have this off.
I believe his previous rom is set to enable orientation, it's on regardless if you turn orientation off in settings, but i guess he changed it in his new build. Just follow evilkorn's instruction

I think doing that will disable orientation for all applications... Maybe push launcher.apk from an older build that didn't have the auto-rotate?

That's right. I really want to get rid of HS rotation.

You can get launcher.apk from any ROM that does not have auto-rotate on the home screen and push that in, but you'll lose any optimizations that cyanogen made to the HS, so it up to you...

Thanks, I'll try this. Just not sure if different launcher is going to work with newest CRC1 build

You can download the CRC1 without mods, then take the launcher.apk from there, should be compatible then.

You need to delete the /dbdata/databases/com.teslacoilsw.widget-locker file. That should fix the problem you are having with the settings, and maybe the animation problem too.
Thanx for replay mate! But still no transition

Well, I went to the dev site and downloaded version 1.2.9. My problem was, when i unlocked the phone none of my widgets would be displayed. They were there, and i could click on them, but i could not see them.
Note: This was only when i was using a Live Wallpaper.
Version 2.0 didn't offer me any benefits, as i use a very simple lockscreen. The easiest fix was to downgrade.
Here is the link to the dev's site: http://widgetlocker.teslacoilsw.com/general/widgetlocker-1-2-9/
Same problem here...Samsung galaxy s with darky 9.2 widgetlocker 2
Yea same here, no unlock transition...
Fresh 2.0 install on stock 2.3.3 rom
Thanks mate i will try when i get home

Switching back to 1.2.9 does show the unlock animation, but old version doesn't allow custom lock positioning and wltheme...
I have this problem as well. Interestingly it came only after a factory reset. I also lost my gingerbread "TV" lock animation after the reset and I have the feeling they are related. I wonder if any of you are also experiencing this.
EDIT: Selecting "all animations" did fix this

But that cannot replace the original lock.
really? i used it and i had no problems whatsoever. you have to finetune it through the settings menu. there are a lot of options concerning the double lock issue.
But if you rooted your galaxy s you would have fewer problems with it because root users are offered a special way to kind of "block" the system lock away. if you are on froyo why not try z4root (google search for the apk) rooting has never been easier

having trouble in my lock screen(somekind of bug)

I am using the Android Revolution HD rom
and in my lockscreen i can unlock with pulling up the time, pulling the lock icon
and just swiping the finger anywhere in the screen which is really annoying because the phone unlock it self in my pocket and doing many sort of things by itself .
some one know about this bug? or how to fix it?.

[Closed] - Reduce intensity vibration

Hi guys
I'm probably not the only one that has some remarks with the vibration of the HTC One.
When I am on the lowest volume setting, other people can hear my phone vibrate out of my pocket.
It's even more horrible that I can only head the vibration instead of the noticiation sound when I recieve a text.
Does anybody have a solution to fix this issue or do I have to live with it?

You need a custom kernel like Elementalx, Faux with the support at this mod and the Faux app for edit the density of the vibration
And I guess I'll lose all the data when installing a custom kernel?

You won't lose anything if your phone is already modded.
If it isn't already modded you will lose data unlocking the bootloader.
Well, my phone has an unlocked bootloader + root access.
So that means that I can freely change the kernel without any consequences?

Yup, you can flash any kernel compatible with your android version and phone version
Phone version, how do you mean?
Is that just the HTC One (as phone version) or the UL/Sprint/ATT version?

For example, don't flash a Sprint kernel on a GSM phone
Allright, awesome!
Guess I'll be flashing kernels today

Good luck
I just flashed the ElementalX kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249774)
But apparantly, the vibration didn't reduce (or I coudn't find an option to do it).
Is that kernel able to modify the intensity?

I remeber that i edited it with Faux app.
You can try with it.
I can't seem to find a kernel for the 4.3 Sense version.
Is it just me over doesn't it exist?

Nevermind, guess I found it

***Easier method*** ***NO ROOT***
If you want to get rid of vibration completely, but without putting your phone on silent, just use App Ops! You need something to launch the activity, there are App-ops launchers in Play Store or you could just use a Tasker task. Once you're in, just go through all your apps and untick the "Vibration" permission!
No root required!!!
<<< Please say thanks if I was of help!
