I am missing an option to assign a program to the OK button (the on below the scroll-wheel - it is not the same as the OK button on the front). In TCPMP I can assign a funktion to this key and TCPMP calls this key "Win+F6".
I am realy missing a volume-key and I tried to assign the program "setVolume v0.8" to this key. Is it possible? Or is there an other option to use the scroll-wheel to control volume?
Scroll-wheel up and down seems to be the same as D-Pad up and down. Is there a chance to assign scroll-wheel/D-Pad up and down to volume up and down (maybe only on today-screen).
AE Button Plus it's free just a nag screen on startup, you can program 4 events per button.
I use volupop assigned to long press ok and then can use scroll wheel for main volume.

Only two buttons are available to be re-difined. Can't be register hack way to Re-defined OK button? Or add more buttons into selected key.

I think have three buttons
I am using AE Button Plus. UI is not that intuitive, and it's not free, but it allows OK button remapping (among others.) Here are my button functions:
Voice speed dial button: 1 press: Run App (Fullscreen Keyboard), 2 presses: Run App (Photo Contacts), 3 presses, Run App (AE Button Plus), Press and hold: Rotate Screen (Can rotate in any of four orientations)
Camera button: 1 press: M$ Voice Command, 2 presses: Camera, 3 presses: CorePlayer, Press and Hold: Xn ViewPocket (photo viewer)
OK button: 1 press: Close App, 2 Presses: Switch App, 3 presses: Soft Reset, Press and Hold: (doesn't seem to work)
Left soft key: 1 press: Left softkey (but mapped to WMP on today screen through Tweaks2K2), 2 presses: TomTom 6, 3 presses: Resco File Explorer, Press and Hold: StarCaddy (I'm a golfer)
Right Soft Key: Could remap all, but "Right Soft Key" command within AE ButtonPlus doesn't seem to work and I don't want to loose that button's soft key functionality. So I've left that one alone.
Start Menu Key: AE button plus cannot seem to add both the OK button and the Start Menu key at the same time - so this one is not touched either.
It also doesn't seem to play nice with CorePlayer: AE dominates and doesn't let other programs remap while they are open. I'm adjusting though.
Hope this helps. I've tried other mappers (VITO didn't work at all for me, and Double Launcher limited me to only 2 buttons) and this is the best I could find to date.
If anyone else has a different or better solution, please post it so we can all get maximum functionality from our little pets!!!
I've been trying to map the back button (delete key) on my hardware keyboard to my OK key so that I can navigate one-handed in PIE using my scroll wheel and my OK key. I'm using AE Button Plus, and I'm trying to use VJkeypress to map the virtual keypress for this event.
However, the virtual key 08 isn't working.
I have a .lnk file with 52#"\Program Files\vijay555\VJKeyPress\VJKeyPress.exe" 08 and it doesn't work. If I change it to 91 then I can get the start menu to pop up.
Is there a different set of virtual keys for WM6?
I currently have a long press of my OK key to the left softkey, and this allows me to navigate back, but I can't use it in fullscreen mode in PIE.
Anyone have any ideas?
I wrote this short MortScript and then mapped it to the side OK button (just take the .txt extension off). If you're in PIE, it presses the back button. If you're in any other application, it clicks on the "X" in the top right. That way I can use the left-side controls in PIE. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the script. However, it doesn't work in PIE if you use full screen, which was the same issue I was having just mapping the left soft key to the OK key.
Is there a way to simulate a keyboard press (backspace) in Mortscript instead?
Try the command "SendBackspace" (without the quotes). I think that will do it.
Hi all,
Just got my Tytn 2 for about a month, still trying to play around with it.
I've just installed S2U2 ver 1.21, and they got this cool feature of Volume Control.
I wish to assign the Volume Control to the Jog Wheel key press, but is there a way to do so?
I've tried with 3rd party software like AE Button Plus & HotButton Plus, but neither of them have any options to assign task to the Jog Wheel key press.
Can any expert help out this noob please? Like registry edit or something? Appreciate a lot.
Solution Found
After playing around for a longer period, managed to find the jog wheel hardware key as #0086.
Thus, able to use AE Button Plus to assign volume control to the Jog Wheel key press
So, I've hooked up with AEButtonPlus and finally got my Fuze keys mostly set to what I want. Great program, and no hesitation on my part to pay the $7 registration. Nice work.
One bit of weirdness, though, is that when I "ADD BUTTON" to create a new button that represents the PTT button, it does so and creates a button called "BUTTON #00ED".
I can assign a SINGLE, DOUBLE and TRIPLE press assignment, and everything works. If I assign a LONG PRESS to "Toggle vibrate mode", that actually also works fine, ***BUT***, it also remaps it so that the LONG PRESS on the HOME key with the same function.
So, further experimenting... If I set PTT LONG PRESS to launch the calculator, when I get out of the AEButtonPlus Config screen and go into Mail or whatever, then do a HOME KEY LONG PRESS, it launches the Calculator.
Weird. Anyone else notice this? And if so, any work arounds?
I'm not using the LONG PRESS PTT function any more until I can figure this out.
You may want to do it again.
I don't have the problem with long press #00ED, but with volume up/down. Things work as I want them to do until I answer a call.
Yes, there is a definite linkage with the HOME key and the PTT key.
If I short-press the HOME key, it does take me to my home key, and then it emulates pressing a SINGLE PRESS of the PTT key, whatever I have that configured as.
Since I have SINGLE PTT configured as the Start Key, it actually works out in a livable way. A Short press on the HOME key gets me to my Today screen with the Windows menu active. A long press on the HOME key just gets me to my Today screen.
This linkage between the two keys are odd.
Before my Touch Pro i had an SE K750i. When I pressed the volume buttons the volume changed, but when I pressed the buttons one second longer not the volume changed but the musicplayer goes a track forward or a track backwards.
That function is very very easy when you’re biking or something and you want to skip a track.
Is there any kind of program that can realize this function on the Touch Pro?
yes the program is AE Button http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
