Hi all,
i'm trying to thether my phone with windows xp but windows requires the following driver
"LGE Android Phone"
i've tried:
LG USB Modem Driver
LG United Mobile Drivers
LG Bluetooth Drivers
LG Android Driver
SDK Drivers
but nothing is working.
do i need a special driver? i'm running the nighlty 177
I had just the same problems when using the CM7 mod for the first time... I also searched for driver and installed many things without knowing if it will work... then just tried to connect the device with usb-debugging mode and windows (7) suddenly installed some drivers and my phone got connected to my pc...
You need an extra driver for XP
For XP an extra driver (Remote_NDIS_based_Internet_Sharing_Device) needs to be installed for tethering
See this thread for the driver:

Will we be able to use USB Tethering with our Milestones, or is our locked Bootloader gonna say NO once again?
Native Usb tethering works fine on Milestone since September (CM 7.1.0-RC15), thanks to mot_usb kernel module by Skrilax_CZ.
So I just conect Milestone to my Mac with the USB Cable and i am ready to go? Should I use an Application? Until today I've been using Wireless Tether app.
Thanks for clearing this up Pavel.
Just plug the cable in and enable tethering in settings (Wireless & Networks -> Tethering) and it should work out of the box. At least on my ubuntu laptops, dont know about mac.
Will the Linux Version work with ARM?
Since the Linux version needs to be compiled (i.e. running " ./configure " and " make " ) for each machine that its run on. Wouldn't that mean that it would work fine on an ARM machine, since it is configured for the individual machine its running on? Or am I misunderstanding something here?
Thank you for any info you can give, and God Bless!!
sorry if this has been answered in the thread, but i'm not able to make usb host work correctly. i'm on cm9 latest nightly and devil2_0.83 and i'm not able to switch usb host driver to usb1 (s3c ls/fs) with usb host application. with semaphore everything is ok (also application loading is faster). any suggestions?
thx in advance
Hi,
i have the last nightly CM 10.1 directly from cyanogen site (so old bootloader)
My usb tether dont work, i try with the 4.2.2 native application and my windows 7 32bit (i have also try in a 7 64bit) install the adb interfaces, but dont install (dont prompt nothing) the network interfaces.. I try the same method on a i9000 galaxy s and it install all the device "on the air".
I try also driver adb from pdanet, tethering with clockwork app, nothing happen..
i try also this driver http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752074&highlight=tethering
With pdanet my installation breaks when try to install the app on the phone (so i think is something wronk between the adb driver and the phone)
with clockwork he find the phone but dont work
with the native android app it install the driver adb but nothing more..
Please help!

Hi, i finally got it:
i unistall all lg driver crap on my computer (lg suite, all the drivers ecc) I unistall also the portable device p990 in Device Manager and the adb device, i reboot my system, install last driver from lg site driver 3.8.1 and the tethering usb "jellybem" style works on the air..
Still dont work with pdanet and tethering clockwork, but i dont care XD
Bye
Anybody have a kernel with the RTL8187 module drivers already loaded? Not sure how PCAP is able to detect through the OTG cable, but it works, but I'd like to add a second network wlan1 to my HTC One running Ubuntu with LinuxonAndroid.
