Sense UI on Motorola Droid

When is someone going to port sense onto the droid? I just got my droid after a screw up where verizon sent me the eris, and i had to put up with it for 2 weeks. I love sense, but the hardware of the eris was terrible. HTC needs to step up there hardware. I tryed openhome with 2 different themes, one was good, but it forced closed sooooo much it i couldnt use it. I tryed aHome, same problem. Im not sure how safe rooting is, and i really dont want to mess up my phone. What is the best hero rom or theme for the droid? Has any one ported sense ui onto the droid? I mean, i know its possible. I would be willing to root my phone if there are any good roms/themes availible. Also, what are some good roots out there? Ive seen it on so many devices EXCEPT the droid! Im currently running GDE with the hero theme, and it works well, certainly the best ive used, but the only difference is the conversation widget, bar at the bottom, and 7 home screens. Still stuck with all the boring stock android widgets. I want to see sense run on a droid. I want it on MY droid. Thanks in advance.

I just thought this was the best place to put it. If it needs to be moved, move it. I didn't see any catagories that it fit in better, and it discusis themes.

I don't know maybe Android Development since you are looking at rooting and booting a new rom on your phone? Just a thought.

sense has been ported, check out the alldroid.org forums, but some vital things such as battery do not work (it must be plugged in)
this might have been fixed tho... idk check it out.

it's not a theme. it's a complete rom. which is not a theme. which would mean it does not belong in the themes section. which this is.

Panda Home also has got got reviews on the Droid versus Open Home. I haven't looked into what would be needed to change to theme the Music and Power widgets for their themes yet, thats the only thing they dont import from the Open Home themes.

Why is there only one rom out??? Where was the others!!

I have just rooted my htc legend and installed the modaco rom. But is this the only rom for the htc legend?? The desire has like three roms already out!! Can someone please make more! I hope there will be live wallpaper in it...! Is there live wallpaper in the modaco rom?? I can't find it.....!!! PLEASE!!!

The reason there's more ROM's for Desire is that it's a higher end phone, and therefor more interesting for developers. Most people who buy the legend thinks that it's fine the way it is. Give it time ROM's will come.

okay i been using pauls desire rom... R21 i believe... have no complaints no F/CS or such...im in love with the sense UI i cant go back to the blehness of the nexus one ui..
what ive been noticing the desire roms has peoples personal touch to it... i really dont feel it...

Kingklick's 1.0 and 1.1 FroyoSense ROM's. Unmodded UI besides the number battery, plus its fast and smooth and has 720p.

[Q] [ROM Request] Could anyone port the myTouch 4G Slide ROM to the Incredible S?

I know a lot of you guys are porting the Sensation ROM to our phones. I've tried Virtuous Unity and it's a really awesome ROM. But after all the sensation ROM is for qHD screens and the 16:9 ratio is not the same as that of our phones, which is 5:3. However the myTouch 4G Slide has a WVGA screen and is running something very close to Sense 3.0, so why not save all the resizing work and port this one onto our phones instead?

But there are quite a few bugs about this one(especially Wi-Fi, the others I can just get on with), and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Could anyone make this port perfect for daily use? I believe a port from a WVGA device will be more convenient for both daily use and Android development.

Feeling lazy tell me which ROM my g/f should use

So after realizing I don't have a boat load of time to read through all the sense based roms on the dev page I was hoping I could get some insight. I use aosp ROMs and "senseless" Roms only so I have been out of the Sense based ROM game for some time now. Can anyone reccomend a good Sense based ROM for my g/f to use as her every day build. She currently has Nik's ROM and doesn't like it due to the fact that it randomly resets itself, I'd fix the problem but I'd rather just d/l something new so she can have that shiny new feeling. If anyone could give me some reccomendations I'd greatly appreciate it (and of course a thanks for anyone willing to help ; ) ).

If u want sensed rom, stability n working front camera then try ARHD. If u want sense 3,5 then try nik trinity...but its front camera shows a glitch...

My suggestion, 2 of the totally bug free & awesome ROMs out there
- Virtuous Affinity
- DutchDanny's Bindroid
i have used both of the above the longest among all the others & fell in love with both of them.
Affinity has the stock sense look with tweaks & Bindroid has a little extra color which makes for some good eye candy
and of course, there are NO problems with ANY function on either of the above, so your call

Virtuous Affinity if you ask me. It is just as stable as ARHD, but few more bells & whistles. I particulary liked "smooth rosie" tweak...

wanna impress ur girl? then just use nik's rom loads of tweaks and sense features with TRON themed!!

i would say virtuous or arhd. Or you can try niks 2.0, its way more stable than 2.5 (i don't know which one u are using now.
