With all the 1500mAH batteries people are buying, how do you know if what you bought a real 1500mAH battery from HTC or not?
Well, I purchase a HTC 1500mAH from an ebay vendor with a 98% feedback rating. I was skeptical, but the price was low enough to try it out and see if it really is legit. Well, he sold me a fake HTC battery. How do I know? Read on.
True 1500mAH batteries have the following information:
- Part no.: 35H00123-00M (or 03M or 22M some xxM)
- Model: RHOD160
- mAH: 1500mAH
- Whr: 5.55Whr
The first RHOD160 1500mAH battery I bought from eBay (bidallies) was legit. All the watermarks, numbers, and fonts match up. Lastly, it works way better than the stock battery and at least as good (if not better than) the Seidio 1750mAH.
Now, this other guy on ebay (orange_chan) is supposedly selling the RHOD160 battery for less than $8 US. However, some of the numbers don't match up (while it's printed RHOD160 and 1500mAH on this battery).
1. the part no is 35H00125-07M
2. the Whr is rated at 4.07Whr
3. the font is different
Part no 3500125-07M is for the 1100mAH battery from HTC, and 4.07Whr = 1100mAH.
Take the Whr/#Volts = mAH. 4.07Whr/3.7V = 1100mAH

Gotta be VERY careful on ebay, but this vendor seems to be the "go to guy" on the other android forums.
Edit: I'll add it's performing great (HTC 1500) compared to the stock battery. It appears to be giving me similar life to the seidio.
I jusr bought one from bidallies so hopefully it is real. My 7 month old oem tp2 1500mah is losing 25% every 3 hrs and it was in my pocket most of the time. Email was set to check every 30 min though. I wonder if the push gmail is causing it to die.

1500mah and 1300mah in the oem battery are very close. The 1500mah battery might not be true. Best way to check is go to radio shack and borrow(test in store) or buy a voltage meter. If the battery has more juice then it will last longer. No need to guess.
I found it wasnt the battery fault, it was K9 Email killing it. I almost doubled the time by stopping polling in K9. Now I get 4-5 hrs for 20% of battery. I can go about all day now.

Not true. A fully charged battery will always have the same voltage, no matter what the mah rating. Only way to test is to put a know load on it, and track voltage as the battery drains.

I was thinking of one of these, which will show you the extent of the charge. but it might not work with cell phone batteries. I do not know the voltage of the battery.

Today I received from bidallies and compared to my stock TP2 and I think they are making knock offs but really close. Now I really don't care too much as long as the quality lasts. Subtle difference in the fonts and the symbol on the middle back has a different number. Also the word serial and part on the real battery are abbreviated S/N and they are actually spelled out on the bidallies battery. The OP pics have it spelled out too, but I know the original TP2 battery is real since it came out of the box with the phone. The part number is as the OP posted but my real HTC battery last 3 is 08M. So time will tell if this is a real HTC.

Thank you guys so much for recommending bidallies. After comparing prices in few sites and reading reviews here and on androidforums I decided to buy from bidallies, and boy I am impressed. I purchased 2 batteries from them, one for my HTC Hero and one for my gf's Imagio, I can't believe how fast I received them even with the free shipping option. After 2 full charges on my new battery this baby lasts 2 hours longer then the one that came with the phone. Anybody looking to buy original HTC 35H00123-00M try bidallies on eBay and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Three years is a long time for a phone, or a thread bump. A quick look at the OP's posting history shows me that he seems to have replaced the Incredible around 18 months ago, so it could be surmised that it lasted 18 months with the replacement battery, or it could be that battery was replaced as it clearly won't last as long on a full charge being 400 mAh less. I don't think it is a conspiracy, it is just that the distributors can get it for a lower cost so they do, so basically it comes down to you get what you pay for. Sometimes "bargains" are ok for a while.

You guys change your phones too frequently. I live in the Third World and we change our phones on a 5-6-years basis. The point is how to make them last longer, in a world of planned obsoletion.
I bought genuine 1500 mAh 5.55 Whr battery from HTC authorized dealer. Let's hope it'll last long enough.

you should be able to get 3500 mah batteries on ebay for 8-12$ US. since they originate in china, should be able to get them wherever you are.
So I'm buying a iPhone 5c from them and I've seen a lot of bad reviews so I'm really nervous about it because I'm in desperate need for a new phone

I received the Email as well -- basically about 2 weeks is the ETA, not too bad. That was the same for my Mugen battery as well.

I don't know... I bought a Mugen 1800 battery, conditioned as the directions stated and yet my results aren't very good. I'm not the only person having this problem. And, I keep hearing from the other thread (Mugen 1800) that these $10 batteries are lastly far far longer than what I have.
I paid $32 for the Mugen, I'm willing to give this a try. You could say that because the batteries are made so cheaply that they might be of lesser quality, but whose to say that the Mugen isn't mass produced at the same $1.00, the only difference here, to me at least is that the Mugen is being sold at a much higher price point when it comes to retail sales.
But I will report my finds upon getting the battery.
I'm not a major battery wiz, but milliampere-hour (mAh) is a rating of hours per the draw of device... not an exact measurement of capacity of power

so you change the hardware, the mAh is GOING to change. the voltage draw may be the same, but the amp draw might be different depending on the requirements.
Just keep this in mind when you're thinking that just because it says 2000mah for and hd2 that it's any better than the 1700 and 1800mah for the hero, or even the stock battery. Remember it's a RATING per load per device, the mah standard was created as an easy way of telling estimated time because putting the actual capacity of a battery would just confuse and would be easily manipulated. Depending on the point in which you can drain a li-po li-ion battery to where it becomes phyically damaged and will not charge anymore below 2.8v. most batteries report "dead" when they drop to 3v so that you don't over discharge it. Allowing your battery to drain from 3v to 2.8v could allow for a longer "rated time" but would be by no means healthy for your device. this .2v is your grace period to allow for natual envroinmental discharge in between times away from the charger.

If you guys are wondering how they perform, the short answer is great, and a lot better than stock. The long answer is, go check the mugen 1800 thread. A couple of us who have been testing the battery have posted some reviews there.

I bought a couple batteries like this for my Apache back in the day. They did work about the same as the OEM although the MaH rating was higher. I would think that the quality control of the more expensive batteries would be better and likely the characteristics are closer to as promised. Additionally, what I remember was that the durability of the battery was shorter but given the price it was still a worthwhile purchase.
It would seem that the quality of the HTC branded batteries and the Mugen are better than these.

I understand that products can sometime vary from electronic to electronic. Its just how it goes. I guess I am just one of those consumers that is willing to try something with such a fantastic price that I am willing to throw it away if it isnt what I expected. So far the folks that are using this battery are showing no signs that it is physically hurting their Hero so why not? If it doesnt give extended battery life then oh well, no harm no foul on 10 bucks.

Ok, seeing it that the stock battery is Lithium Ion, this also applies to it as well. Just because it has HTC written on it doesnt mean it is anymore sturdy than any other company. I have seen images of laptops with stock batteries that have burnt holes through the PC from overheating. The chance is always there no matter what route you take.

Agreed! Toshiba, Sony, Mac? Almost all laptop batteries are prone to overheating or exploding... mainly because people leave the power cord plugged INTO there laptop, when the battery itself is fully charged, lolol. I just have to do a *faceplam* every time I see that here at school.
This seller has up what look like and are listed as OEM 1800 mAh batteries for $5.98? If anyone knows anything about this seller or the authenticity of these batteries, that would rule.
These really seem too good to be true. That said, I'm ordering one. For six bucks, it's worth a shot.
Haha, apparently since this is my first post on here, I can't include a link. However if you just search eBay for the title of the listing, which is "1800mAh Replacement BATTERY HTC Droid Incredible Evo 4G" it's the only result.
VERY likely a Chinese crap battery. However, at that price, it'll still be good for a backup battery. It'll definitely hold at least as much as the stock one
I mean, I'm guessing that that's probably the case, however they are branded HTC, look exactly like the HTC batteries I have, the seller has sold over 600 of them and has a 99.4% feedback rating.
All of those things could really mean absolutely nothing, but it's worth a shot.

Well at least you're not looking at it all the time. It's a little off topic, but how is that Seido battery treating you? I've just hung out with my standard 1300 mAh for too long, I'm sick of it. I've got an OEM 1500 mAh on the way and now this suspect one.
God the Seido 1750 is amazing. On Uber Z with included kernel I get from 7am-10pm with medium-heavy use and have 40-50% left (which I then promptly spend watching youtube vids and playing Angry Birds until 1am ) treating me pretty well, I'd say it's worth the money. I look at it often enough btw, I seem to have a nasty bug that whenever I toggle the WiFi on while doing something else, the phone has a 50/50 chance of stalling and needing a batt. pull -_-
Well, nevermind. Before I decided to order I thought I'd look at the seller's negative feedback. I found these three pieces of feedback on this battery:
"Removed sticker and noticed the battery was labeled at 1130mAh."
"Battery has yet to outlast OEM battery which is 1500mAh."
"Great Deal on product, different than advertised, 1800mAh was a 1250mAh instead"
So that's that, I suppose. All the good reviews are probably from people who didn't bother to check it out closely or test it before leaving feedback. I think I'll just put those six bucks toward a real OEM or Seido from a trusted source.
Wow good call. I got my Seido from the AndroidCentral store, got fast shipping on it under the standard option. I'd personally buy from them again, highly recommended.
Hm, that's an interesting problem. I can't think of how that could be caused by the battery though! I'll probably invest in one from them or find an 1800 mAh OEM battery that's not from a seller in Hong Kong off eBay for six bucks.
From what I've heard, the OEM batteries come in original 1300 and 2100, not at 1800. that's why I got the Seido. And that problem has nothing to do with the battery, I just do see the battery a lot

The 1500 could be the Evo battery. It fits in the Inc, so I've heard. I would like to someday upgrade my battery maybe the 1750...

I bought 2 of these from amor_istores and they both outlast my 1300mah and 1500mah batteries. I couldn't be happier. It took a while to get to Michigan from Hong Kong, but it was worth it. I stream Shoutcast or Pandora through it all day at work with a good signal. And yeah, it does look like a real HTC battery, but I highly doubt it.
Funny thing is, the postage added up to $8! Weird. I suggest buying it. That's just my opinion though..

I just recieved an "OEM" 1500 mAh battery from a seller on eBay called "accessorymallonline" in the mail today. It was just over 8 bucks and I bought it right before I started this thread. It's charging right now, gonna charge it up to full, kill it and charge it all night so I can get a few cycles in it before trying it out tomorrow.
We'll see how it does compared to my standard 1300 mAh battery. Looking at it compared to my standard battery, there are some major differences in labeling and the way the label is laid out/stuck on the battery. I'm assuming this would be the same battery that ships with the Evo, I'm going to check out some pictures and compare them to what I recieved.
Battery feels solid, is slightly thicker than my standard battery, would look OEM if I didn't have a real HTC battery to compare it next to. Who knows, it could be, but I don't really think so.
Well, looking at the pictures on Android Central of their OEM HTC 1500 mAh battery, I'm inclined to say this is OEM. The quality is there, the battery actually feels better made than my standard 1300 mAh one.
There's not a detail missing from the battery when compared to the picture, really. They look identical. I wish I knew someone with an EVO so I could compare side by side. I have to wonder, could these actually be OEM?
I don't have any experience with extended batteries for the Incredible, but I highly suggest you check out this website. The extended battery market is notorious for misrepresentation.
A few years ago I did a battery test for a Samsung device (as a job assignment). We tested the stock battery against four eBay batteries that were selling for under $10 all claiming to be OEM. Every single eBay battery performed weaker than advertised. The best one was about 25% under its rating and the worst one about 60% under. I haven't trusted cheap batteries ever since...
Not saying that every seller out there is lying, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. Hope you're having a bettery experience with your purchase than we did with our Sammy batteries back in the day.

The only one I know of is a 1930mAH battery sold by Verizon wireless online. I would purchase it while logged into your account. I purchased one yesterday and I got 25% off while being logged in.
I would also purchase it now so they won't stop selling it when you want one. The d3 is mostly likely being discontinued this month.
I use Anker 1800mAh it's $6 on Amazon. It's a bit bigger than the stock battery but still fits with the battery back. There's a slight bulge but it's not an issue especially with a case. I can get a few more hours compared to the stock batterty.

This original battery is a 1930 mAh Lithium Ion.
Extended battery is packaged with an extended battery cover.
Since upgrading, I have not once looked at my phone and needed to plug it in. I usually it use my phone all day before plugging it in while I sleep.

I've found onother option that seems a good option (but a little more expensive)

Well it depends if you want a thicker backcover or not. I got the motorola bf6x oem 1930mah and i think its the most that will fit the stockcover. For me its perfect because it was cheap, fits stock and is definitely better than my stock battery (although that one had a hole from 10% to 4% but nonetheless). Im not sure how the ebay non-oem are

Yes on ebay they are very expensive. I'm in europe and also need it shipped. Then suddenly i found one on amazon only €2 shipping
I got a 3500mAh off of eBay. For some reason the battery indicator is way off. It drops from 100-50 in one hour. Then from 50-15 is about most of the day. The weird this is, once it hits 5%, it stays on a long time. I tried to make it die by streaming HD video from YouTube for 2 hours but it wouldn't. Anyway to fix I this?

I bought an Extended Battery on Deal xtream yesterday, it has 3500mah, the phone is gona estay heavier but, I like using it more than double time , comparing to original battery...

i've never trusted those gold batteries, i wanted to wait for one that seems decent, with a max of 1800mAh based on size i would expect thats the highest you could get into a battery that size.
currently testing this new battery, on its first drain at the mo, will be back with reports soon

Cool, as new batteries go i expect you got to charge them a couple of times to get the correct usage average. first drain still surviving, @30% now but that was with a few benchmarks after testing a few things for Stonebear last night. will probably start charging again at about 12% later today.

Reason why i dont get one of those batteries is because i dont want to carry around a Nokia P4000, start to have hip problems carrying something that big around. ( rather just carry one of these so i can charge my phone and psp on the go) that way i can still have my sleek O2x without the bulky back cover.

full charge gives me 4180mV
thats at a average of 1746mA +/- 24mA
will look into performance and battery life now that i've charged it a third time. and report back
I bought a "2400 mAh" battery from MyTrendyPhone (large Nordic/European online store for phone accessories).
It turned out to be 2800 mAh. Probably mislabeled by the store rather than the manufacturer. It's actually this one:

Does anyone have any experience with this particular battery? Will do some non-scientific, subjective testing of course. Bought it on a whim because I got tired of my O2X dying halfway through the day (I'm quite a heavy user, it's literally down to 40-50% by lunch time). If it isn't much of an improvement, no great loss. It makes the phone more "substantial" but the difference isn't that great and the back cover seems to be quite good quality (also it offers far better protection of the camera lens than the original cover).

Usage Test
That Battpit Battery, 1800mAh.
Under medium to heavy usage.
listening to music 3-4 hours, Internet browsing, average 5-6 hours, videos 20 minutes, 5 calls about a minute each, 15 - 20 texts. bit of wifi, but most of the internet browsing was done under 3g.
i'll get a more standby focused battery life over the next couple of days.
ordered a 2400 mah battery.
should arrive in 2-5 days.

I used a duplicate high capacity barrios like this and after fee days my phone used to drain without any use also and it used to heat up also went to lg care they told mother board is gone due to.difference in voltage maintenance as I used not the stock one they told use only stock batteries other high capacity battery will ruin your phone hardware...my phone used to die in Lees than 10 hours whether I use out or not...now it last more than 2 days those people who were telling there phone last more than a day I used to think they always lied.got my mother board changed from lg cost me around 50$ but more now phone is like brand new last more than 2 days and stand by station is like 1% in 8 hours..but stock batteries and go to lg care ask them is there any problem in your phone hardware ....trust me that's the solution
Hello everyone (if there is someone else in this Nokia 8 forum). I have a Nokia 8 / TA-1052 bought in 2018 and that suddenly, this summer, started to restart when they were used according to what applications (Camera, Google photos, and progressively with others, etc.) and when the battery charge it was below about 50%. I deduced that, with almost 3 years of use, the end of the battery's life has come and I started looking for another one starting in September and until today I have not been able to find one that has or is close to to have the same capacity or close to that of the original 3030 or 3090mAh battery. I have bought about 10 batteries, being in Palma de Mallorca some have never reached me but the money has been refunded, some have arrived badly (the mobile does not recognize them directly, the money has also been refunded) and about 3 I have been able to assemble and test the 3030 or 2500 mAh ones (the latter from the Cameron Sino brand), hopefully, they did not have real 1500mAh, in other words if the mobile with the original battery between charges lasted up to 2 days or 48 hours with these did not reach a sad 20 hours. Now, if there is someone else around here, the question is the following: has someone managed to change the battery on this mobile and find one that is close to the original in duration? The original battery (disassembled from my mobile) is the HE328 model (the same as the TA-1004 and TA-1012 models) and has it labeled 3030mAh (not 3090 as it says in the characteristics of the same mobile)? Hello, I continue with the matter, despite the fact that so far there is no response from the members of this forum, I see that the topic has a lot of visits. Yesterday morning I bought a battery from a UK seller-Fonejoy on eBay and it just arrived today in Palma de Mallorca by DHL (it arrived in just over 24 hours, the expected date delivery was between 12 / 13-12 / 17) and that is the first of all those that have reached me identical to the original, same-same labeling and even the same weight (very important element, apart from the size, in the case of lithium batteries, the original disassembled from my phone weighs about 42 grams, all the ones that have come down to me weighed about 30 grams). I start to see the "light at the end of the tunnel" and for the first time it looks good, tomorrow I will mount it on my mobile and I will tell you more things.
The battery is already mounted on the mobile, it came with 3.75 VDC (measured with a multimeter before mounting it) and with a 37% charge. After carrying out the first full charge, the phone started up without problems, it remains to be seen now the total capacity and the duration between charges, when I am sure that everything is fine I will glue the screen (at the moment it is held with transparent adhesive tape).
And to finish, the battery works and is equal in duration to the original so last Sunday 12/12 I glued the screen and closed this matter (I have also left a positive feedback on the battery page of the seller Fonejoy from ebay.uk). If the new battery lasts the same as the original, about 3 years, I will have gotten the most out of this mobile, the next step will be to release the bootloader and put a custom ROM with Android 11, at least. I tested a lot of them.
The only sense brand of replacement batteries is wonkegonke from aliexpress.
usually in wonkegonke battery you will find a reasonable capacity, which will not die after 3 months. Looks my old thread about Wonkegonke.

During my search of almost 2 and a half months I had seen your thread about the batteries for Nokia 8 and about the Wonkegonke battery and at the time I had considered buying it if it hadn't been a problem to send it from Aliexpress to the Balearic Islands-Spain because it didn't arrive by AirMail of Correos Company except if the shipment is made with a courier company such as DHL, MRW, etc. When I found this last one that I commented on in my post, I had already lost hope of finding an original battery for this mobile and my surprise was really great when I saw that it is 100% identical to the original (comment that even the date of manufacture marked on the new battery is 2 months after the one I removed from my mobile, a fact that I do not consider it a problem as long as the charge cycles are at zero). Right now I have had a month and a half with the new battery mounted on the mobile and I already glued the screen, comment that with the original Android 9 the battery lasted about 48 hours with 2.5-3 hours of screen use (the truth is that I am not abusing the use of the mobile and I use it only for the essential) and about 10 days ago I had released the bootloader, flashed the T-Virus and the latest version of AncientOS 5.7 Society with which the new battery lasts me around 36 hours (somewhat less than with the original, apparently this ROM has a higher battery consumption but it deserves it for everything else). I hope that my experience is useful for those who find themselves in the situation in which I was trapped and that if there is anyone else who is looking for a battery, they know where to find it and do not fall into the trap of the multitude of fake LI-polymer batteries that they are sold online (and even by technical services or stores) and that do not reach even half of the advertised load capacity or die after 1-2 weeks of use. Original battery is amazing after 4 years of use still have almost 92% of original capacity For comparison, my brother's iPhone 8+ has 78% battery capacity at the same time of use 4 years.

This, it seems like a lot, if not the majority of batteries sold as spare, on ebay, etc are cheap less powered knock-offs or old batteries re-branded as new. Especially for phones with replaceable, like old Samsungs, etc. Someone I know wanted a new battery for her Samsung Note 3 I think and bought 1 or 2 new ones from a "web store", when I checked them, they all weighed 10-15% less than the original old battery.
So it's good to know that someone found one that is not a scam or fake. Tanto trabajo, poco dinero (batteria)

After waiting 3 months for it to arrive and actually getting a refund, I installed the battery only to find the accubattery reported battery reported as 1,658mAh after 7 sessions. That is worse than the original.
So, I have order a battery from Fonejoy and again, have high hopes! I will post my results.
@Birtybasset I am very sad that the battery Wonkegonke is not working properly.
Non-original batteries do not perform quality tests like originals, so you need to keep this in mind before buy.
Guaranteeing performance close to the factory battery will significantly increase the price which nobody usually wants pay, where most users usually replace the whole phone instead of the battery anyway.

For testing, intentionally I'm using a charger with fast charging functionality. This steps helps to evaluate the quality of the cells in battery.
After 96 charge sessions Wonkegonke lost almost 5% of the 90% capacity that was available after installation.
Perhaps if I had used a slower charger earlier the situation would have been much better.

Thanks for the link @bunzo , that is the battery I ordered and the one currently installed in my phone. Unfortunately, like the Wonkegonke battery, this too is showing a lower than expected Estimated capacity within AccuBattery.
I'm starting to think it must be something I am doing wrong or an issue with the phone!
The below is a screenshot after 2 full charges with the original Nokia 8 charger. I allowed the charge to go to 100% instead of the Accubattery recommended 80% if that matters?
Do you guys have any ideas?

Mine showed 3000mAh from 0 (phone shutting down) to 100% with Accubattery and with an USB multimeter too. This image statistic isn't real because you must reset the Accubattery and put it like an new installed, it,s showing 13 sessions, you said this battery was charged only twice

I mean that among the 13 sessions that it puts in the image that you have uploaded, only the last 2 are from the new battery, the previous ones are from the previous battery. To reset the Accubattery statistics I think there is an option in the configuration of the application itself or from settings you can delete data and cache and it is as if you would reinstall it
Well don't I feel silly! Thanks mate, I assumed that the app would adapt and update the battery health but apparently not. I have reinstalled the app and will test again overnight. There's probably nothing wrong with the other battery in this case so I am tempted to test that too. I shall report back.

I don't think so, probably is for the same reason, not haven't reseted the Accubattery statistics
The battery statistics can be read correctly through the ADB console command. The original battery sends the correct data, where wongkegonke goes crazy.
