Is there any software or patch that will allow me to just answer a call with a click when the N1 is in the Car Dock? It's a pain in the rear to slide the answer "lock" up when the N1 is mounted horizontal.
I use mine veritical and don't have to slide when a call comes in. My screen doesn't lock up when in car mode. Not sure if this is an issue with just horizontal.

Are you using a headset?? I don't use one and I have to always slide the "answer" button to answer a call, just as I would if the phone were in my hand.

I don't know if there's a setting I missed or is this a major bug but if my phone's keyboard is slid out and my phone rings, I slide the keyboard in then wait for the phone to switch from landscape to portrait. Once it does what it does, I can no longer answer the call. I've tried hitting the "Answer" on the screen, the shortcut key assigned to it, and the green phone. I end up missing the call. Is this normal or is there a setting I can set?
Also, when I'm editing a contact and accidentally hit call, it will call the person first before I can cancel the call. I've repeatedly hit the red phone button and the "End Call" but it doesn't work until the call connects first. On all the previous phones I've ever owned and played with, I can cancel the call anytime before the call connects. Is this normal with this phone?

I thought that I remembered having the same thing happen, but in fact when I just tested I was able to slide the keyboard in and answer the call. There is just a little delay, but it did work for me after about 3 seconds. It even worked with 1 key press, and not repeatedly pressing the send key.

I think this is the same thing, just a little delay. I do this all the time and I just keep hitting end. It will always quit before it actually starts dialing.
Does anyone have any solution to answering calls accidentally whilst sliding the diamond out of its leather case? I know I could use the key lock but that wouldn't effect the incoming call screen.
I also found that I called someone 6 times the other night when phone appeared to "wake up" in it's case for some unknown reason.
It's pretty much the only thing that's doing my head in about the phone
Cheers
There's a long sticky on this at the top of this page!
I know, sorry, only just seen it. I'm sure I'm going blind!!
Is there a way to fix the in-line buttons of the headphones you get with the Diamond2 to not start calling people?
They are very sensitive, and I had some unwanted calls to people while listening to some music...
I can't find anywhere to configure this (WinMo settings "buttons" and "input" screens have nothing). IS there a way to disable those buttons or, better yet, make them useful for things like volume control?
same problem here, everytime i go by bike i call someone hitting the button somehow.
I mange to call people accidentily while walking down the street,
It needs to be able to lock itself while playing music or you need to press a particular button to lock-unlock.
I have a Noreve flip case coming soon maybe this will help to stop this problem.

if its not the headphones causing your problem you can simply turn your defice off while playing musik. it will keep on playing.
but the buttons in the cord don't "lock" if you switch it off
which basically is my problem

TouchLockPro locks all buttons, including the in-line buttons of the head-phones.
This solution worked fine for me and my Touch Diamond 2.

I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that would turn the speakerphone on when you slide the keyboard open. I usually set my G1 on the dashboard in the open position when using the navigation. If I get a call I have to answer, fidget around to get it on speaker.
Another reason would be if one would respond to a text message, look up a phone number or whatever while on a call.
hi, just as the title shown, can anyone help me to disable it on my Xperia Z, thanks in advance.
Why would you do that anyway?

Just guessing: did you try to delete all message texts in the settings? Maybe the button won't appear if there are no texts.
..... Such a useful feature. And it's not in the way.
Two ways of using it:
Reply with a quick msg.
Or
When you just want to make the call stop ringing the ring tone. Just simply swipe up and the it stops ringing, but the call is technically still going.

I hate that it will stop ringing the ring tone.
It happens to me many times that when I'm running or shaking or something, a call comes...
Then the phone's screen is on, and my pants accidentally open the "reply with msg." and it stops ringing...
So I miss lots of calls due to that ******* function.
Why won't I just mute the call volume when I don't want it to ring?

Maybe it's because I'm quite hot (physically, no other meaning...), so the phone thinks that it's me who is touching the screen...

Perhaps, if you sweat through your pockets the water(sweat) would press lol. But you had some suggestions up there, if none of them worked. I'd just make it an habit to have the screen facing outwards. Or switch to AOSP Dialer.
